Amazing transcription program
I used it a lot when I was writing my final assignment and it worked so well. When I upgraded it from the free version to the payed it only took a few moments to transcript it

I had a wonderful experience using Good Tape. I work as a journalist and often have to work with audio. Good tape saved me plenty of time. Also, it is so cool that the service has Ukrainian language as it is not so often used in others platforms and I see only Russian. In addition to this, I had a great experience talking to the customer service team!

Good tape helped me a lot with the transcription of the interviews for my thesis and saved me a lot of time. The transcriptions are of excellent quality and can be done in multiple languages even with a poor-quality recording. I recommend this service.

Used it for the first time yesterday, i recorded a double interview that laster moet than one hour. Facing a strict deadline, i’ll really needed Some help. Good Tape was a great help,because i didn’t had to listen to the recording and write every spoken sentence down, it saved me at least Two hours of work.
Eyeopener for me! And it translated the Dutch language perfectly!

Jeg havde hørt gode ting om Good Tape, hvorfor jeg valgte at bruge det til min eksamensopgave. Jeg bruger den gratis version og var glad for, at jeg kunne transskribere de tre (5-15 min) lydfiler jeg havde brug for.
Jeg har dog ventet i over 6 dage nu og ingen af dem er klar til brug.. Jeg har måtte finde et andet sted at få mine lydfiler transskriberet, da jeg ellers ikke ville kunne nå det.
I teorien et virkelig fint website og værktøj, men har du travlt og ikke råd til at betale for det, så er det måske værd at finde et andet værktøj.

EDIT: jeg har fået nulstillet min konto og fået tre nye transskriberinger. Har brugt den første, der var klar inden for en time. Derfor ændret fra 2 til 5 stjerner

The transcription has an acceptable quality, although the editing is a bit buggy and annoying. The worst thing however is that, after your subscription expires, they literally STEAL your work: although you have already paid for those hours of transcription, you cannot access the already transcribed recordings, unless you keep your subscription active forever! This makes the service basically useless, you will end up wasting hours of work. Be aware that you have to download everything before the subscription expires, and that you will never be able to check again the audio in the future. Time and money wasted!

It's easy, its fast, its cheap. It has a beautiful UX and UI as well. but MOSTLY it works very well!
Good plus: the assistance. Fast, kind and efficient.

I first found out about Goodtape somewhere about 7-8 months ago. Their free service REALLY helped me in my work. It was incredibly precise and very easy to use.
Later on, I did pro transcription, and it was great.
Also, best of all, their customer success team TOTALLY exceeded my expectations. They couldn't be more helpful and they always get back to you in minimal waiting time and always help and follow up no matter you're subscribed or using the free service.
I appreciate this service so much. It's brilliant. Way to go!!!

I had a folder with about 15hrs of interview and FGD recordings in bahasa Indonesia, with a tight deadline. So of course, I tried to search for AI transcription tools that are okay with languages other than English. There were many good reviews for Good Tape, and the free version lets you use up to three 30 min recordings, so I tried. It was about 80% accurate! I only needed to go over and make some minor edits. Considering it was in bahasa Indonesia, and the audio wasn't really that clear..I was surprised at the accuracy. Also, I made a mistake and uploaded the wrong tape and ran out of the monthly 3 free quota. I emailed the support team, and a real human (not auto response/ chatbot) replied in no time and was really nice and helpful. Usually Customer Services take forever to respond to emails and like to end conversations abruptly and rush through things, especially for non-paying customers. And so overall it was a great experience. I told my Boss and we decided to subscribe. Thank you!

Very good tool, clean and precise transcriptions even with average quality audios - or different accents. Bonus, the team is nice and super responsive. I totally recommend it.

As a professional user (freelance journalist) i've tried several speech to text tools. Mostly very disappointing to even completely useless and burning money.
For transcribing manually one interview it could take me up to 6 exhausting hours. A collegue advised me GoodTape and it is amazing (lot's of chocolate for him). I started to use it in octobre 2023 (the freemium, slow but accurate). And directley ordered the premium version. It will cost you some money. But oh my: had i had software like this before, i would have made much more money (as you might know freelance journalists are rather underpayed in the Netherlands, per word, and two big media outlets share the market so nothing to negotiate). And i had energy left to finish longer interviews the same day, instead the next.
Once i had a rather 'stupid' question (i didn't find the upload function that i used often before - which i think is still a bit hidden), but the helpdesk didn't laugh and answered me fast. Real guys, not a bot!
For the rest the tool is brilliant by it's simplicity. Also nice to know: since it's a European (Danish) tool, the outcome is under European privacy restrictions.
Definitely worth my money!

I had a small issue with billing. But the team answered me very very very nicely within a few minutes and solved my problem quite quickly !
