We went on a three-day safari with Gosheni with two more friends starting December 13th-16th 2019. We visited the following parks: Lake Manyara (day 1), Ngorongoro (day 2), Tarangire (day 3). We selected this itinerary as we wanted to have 3 full days of safari. We contacted approx. 8 companies regarding proposing an optimal schedule for us. While most other companies also recommended Serengeti, Gosheni stood out insisting that we do the aforementioned parks, as Serengeti was too far away to drive too and basically we would have wasted a day just driving. We are very glad we selected Gosheni and followed their recommended schedule as we came to realise how far the distances are. We got to enjoy an amazing safari experience in the above parks. Ngorongoro was my favourite; an incredible site to see from the viewpoint above the crater and thousands of animals to see in it. There are really no words to describe this experience, you have to see it for yourself.

Our guide, Ombeni, was the best guide we could have wished for. Having travelled around the world in Europe (I am from Greece), Asia, Americas, and having been on many guided tours, I can say that Ombeni was the best guide we ever had. He made the experience unforgettable and while I wrote before that we started out as 3 friends, we ended the journey having earned a new friend!

Now, I’m terms of amenities provided, all the lodges well stayed at were amazing. During game drives we had proper lunch and Ombeni would set the table, dishes, bottle of wine and it really felt like having lunch at a great restaurant, only our table was located in the middle of Ngorongoro!

Gosheni vehicles aren’t brand new and Ombeni made sure that the vehicle is clean (inside out) every single day, while other vehicles in the lodges’ parking lots were not taken care of as well. It is a safari, and we do not really care about what the vehicle loons like from the outside, but still I have to mention the high quality offered by Gosheni.

To summarise, I highly recommend a safari with Gosheni; they will work with you guys to organise the schedule that best fits your travel objectives and they will offer an unforgettable and amazing experience. I am very glad we picked Gosheni and very happy in having met Ombeni, a truly amazing person.

Ngorogoro crater and Tarengeri national parks were amazing. At the crater, a lion actually came close enough it hit the vehicle with its tale. Ombeni was an incredible tour guide and went above and beyond for us.

Had 6 great days on safari with Goshenisafaris. We had a good informationmeeting with the Goshenisafaris the first day. I like that they are local and down to earth. My impression is that they are professional. Our guide, William, were a Nice guy and become our friend. He was a really good guide and I’m quite satisfied with him. He know the roads in the nationalsparks pretty well and did know where he could find the animals and show us.
We got upgraded the first night, to Acacie Tarangire, without asking. That was really Nice of Goshenisafaris. The first day in Tarangire was awesome, we got to see a lot of animals like elephants, lion, zebra, eagle and a lot more. In serengeti we met Lions laying in the road, really cool. And we got to see a leopard in a tree. At the end of the day we saw a cheetha and his two kids hunting a little antelope. Really cool! We also had a hotairballoon safari, with miracle experience balloon safari. That was awesome, and I recommend everyone to try that. My experience and overall impression og Goshenisafaris is quite good!

We received initinary from Gosheni Safari through our travel agency, which forfilled all our expectations. We had 1 day in Arusha, 1 in Tarangire, 2 in Serengeti, 1 in Negorogoro and 1 in lake Manyara.

Our guide William really knew his safaris and had a lot of information of the different parks. He was able to spot a lot of animals and we even saw the cheetah twice and tree times the leopard. They upgraded us free of charge with one night at their luxury camps inside the Tarangire park, which was super Nice and I highly recommend it!
We had a 3 courses lunch every day with table cloth and everything, compared to the other company’s which had a small lunch box.

We also did the hot air balloon activity which is a bit pricy, but was absolutely worth it! The company was professional and the pilot had over 20 years of experience. The view of the park was awesome and the bush breakfast afterwards was fantastic.

I would highly recommend Gosheni Safaris for your trips in Africa, either booking through your agency or directly through Gosheni. Great guides, good service at the different accommodations and a nice van with your own fridge. We had a fantastic safari experience with Gosheni Safari and the best guiding with William.

For the future you don’t really need a day in Arusha since there isn’t a lot to see, and the first 3 parks would be enough. It all depends on how many animals you want to see and how lucky you are.

Modern air conditioned vehicles made the journey very pleasant and the drivers were great too , very polit and professional with a wealth of knowledge and knew the answers to all our questions . The vehicles have a pop up roof so you can get fantastic views of the landscape and wildlife while staying safe inside the vehicle . We saw the BIG 5 and lots of times being only yards away from the wildlife including one when a lioness, still panting and out of breath was laying next to a Wilderbeast Kill . We really could not fault our trip with Gosheni Safaris and would thoroughly recommend them . Tanzania is also an excellent choice for an holiday destination , it really is Africa’s Best Kept Secret . We have been on Safari to South Africa and in our opinion the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crator and National Park are better , an ABSOLUTE MUST SEE .

Family safari in Tanzania was fantastic! We spent 8 days in four different parks; Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Serengeti and Lake Manyara, and saw a lot of animals thanks to William, our driver, who taught us about the different animals we saw and made the trip a really interesting experience. We learnt a lot! We hade a wonderful week thanks to William, and the nice lodges we stayed at. We started every day with a clean car, and hot lunch was served on proper plates, with table cloth, porcelain and made us feel well taken care of and healthy in our stomachs. We had a new comfortable car, which is important when spending most of your days in the car.

Gosheni really understood our wishes and planned a trip that was perfect for us. Pendo, our sales assistent, answered a lot of question through the planning process and made sure everything was going as planned during the trip.

I would really recommend Gosheni to anyone going to Africa for safari, and would very much plan a trip with them again for me and my family.

Gosheni is the Absolute Best - 10 days unforgettable Masai Mara, Serengeti and more!

Simply cannot say enough good things about Gosheni Safaris. But I will try. Let's begin with my communication with the owner, Peter Robert. Highly responsive; made a fantastic custom itinerary for us - Nairobi, Lake Nakuru, Masai village visit, Masai Mara, North and Central Serengeti, a Serengeti Hot Air Balloon ride at sunrise, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, Tarangire. Top class lodgings in both Tanzania and Kenya. And the guides/drivers were outstanding to say the least.
But what we are ever so thankful for is that without Peter, this trip would not be possible. Peter, out of his own accord, flew all the way to Dar es Salaam commissioner's office only to ensure that we get our Tanzanian visas. Not enough words to thank him.
Now our two guides - Juma in Kenya and Laban in Tanzania. They are the most skilled guides you will ever find always getting us the best spots and lights for photography, making sunset runs to give us the most glorious African sunset experiences. Laban also happens to be an ornithologist - an expert on the birds of Africa! It was unbelievable to spot and photograph over 50 birds in just Serengeti. They made us feel safe, and comfortable at all times.
Now the food. The breakfast and dinner were finger-licking good in all places. But what sets Gosheni Safaris apart is the outstanding buffet lunches it packed every day with so many hot dishes, soups, elaborate meals, ones other Safaris' guests would only enjoy at dinners. The service at the lodges were impeccable. I will miss Maria and hasan's smiles from the Acacia Migration Camp at North Serengeti. Be it their candle light bonfire dinner under the stars in Serengeti or elaborate lunches under Acacia trees or above the Ngorngoro crater, they were all magical.
What we experienced in our 10 days East African safari during the great migration cannot be expressed in words. Be it a pride of lions feasting on a wildebeest in the middle of the night on our way to hot air ballon ride, or a cheetah feasting over its gazelle hunt within seconds of our arrival at the spot, or following a leopard for 30 minutes on its stealthily traced impala hunt, or vultures over a wildebeest remains, it was all magnificent. Countless memories - Following millions of wildebeest in their migration to the north, floating in the air on a hot air balloon above Serengeti while savoring the sunrise, spotting over 50 magnificent African birds, many many many encounters with the Big 5 and spotting three of the small five, spending an entire day in the paradise that is called the Ngorongoro Crater, falling in love with flamingos at Lake Nakuru and Lake Manyara, sunrise over the valley at Lake Nakuru, sunset at Masai Mara, getting to meet Masai people at their villages, driving through countless villages and small towns in Kenya and Tanzania, the little kids waving their hands at us everywhere we went, it's hard to stop. Thank you so very much Peter, Laban, Juma, and Gosheni Safaris. Trip of a lifetime, indeed.

Had the perfect safari experience from booking, accommodation and tour itself was just perfect on the most part to Ombeni who was such a nice and knowledgeable human who made it all for us, I believe it wouldn’t have been as good with anyone else.

OMG what a perfect 3 day safari we have just had we was picked up at Arusha and went to Ngorongora then Serengeti to be then dropped off at another camp. First and most importantly I’d like to make a special mention to our tour guide who made the difference for our experience, his name is Ombeni, he was absolutely amazing very knowledgeable, had eagle eyes to spot all animals near and far (how he done it il never know) and he found all the animals we wished to see and knew exactly where they would all be, it was like he could see into the future, even down to the weather!!!

He was so polite, very flexible and nothing was too much to ask.

The company was also very professional and assisted with all my tailored needs as it wasn’t an off the shelf package so i am very thankful and the whole process was so easy for us!

In August of 2019 I used Gosheni Safaris’ to organize an 11 Day Serengeti Wildebeest Migration Safari – it was the trip of a life time! Gosheni Safaris provided a 5 star level of service! From the start, Gosheni Safaris was wonderful to deal with. We worked with Peter, the owner of the company who was always responsive and patient with all our questions. He truly knows his business and put together an excellent itinerary that covered all we wanted to see and recommended lodges that were above and beyond our expectations.

Peter was also flexible to include some additional asks – 1) a visit to the Happy Family Children’s Village (orphanage and school) in order for us to bring the clothing and toys we had collected and 2) arranged for us to meet another Gosheni tour group by putting together a Gosheni Tours lunch at the Ngorongoro Crater.

Gosheni Safaris provided a few extra touches not found with other tour companies – wine and snacks set up on a table awaiting us when we arrived at the airport in Arusha; daily lunches set up using china and real silverware; WIFI in the jeep.

We had an extraordinary guide, Zadock – he took care of everything. He is extremely knowledgeable about the animals and birds; a very experienced tour guide and an excellent driver (it was amazing how he knew his way around all the roads – even in the dark!). I referred to Zadock as the “mayor of the Serengeti” – he knew all the other guides driving by us! Zadock is a sensitive and caring person and extremely customer focused. He always wanted to make sure we were happy, found ways to fit in all our asks, would go out of his way for us (and anyone – he even stopped to help another guide with a tire issue; and provided instructions to another guide on how to find their way to a particular lodge) and made sure we had the best views of the animals! Zadock was the foundation for our amazing experience.

I would highly recommend Gosheni Safaris and would book with them again.

You're probably searching for that one, perfect safari tour of your dreams. Well, YOU JUST FOUND IT.

My husband and I chose Tanzania as our first African destination, not really knowing what to expect. In need of more info, I began my extensive safari research and came up with an overwhelming (!) number of safaris on offer.
After contacting several top-rated tour operators, my gut told me to go with Gosheni. It started with Angel's prompt replies, continued with the customisable 5-day safari itinerary we arranged for ourselves, plus I found the price reasonable.

On the first morning, we were picked up by our guide Ombeni in a well-appointed 4x4 (A/C, electrical sockets, fridge). We quickly felt at ease with the car and Ombeni's driving skills.

All accomodations arranged by Gosheni were excellent, with friendly staff greeting us at every turn. We got the chance to meet the lovely owner, Peter, who made sure we were completely satisfied. Bonus: we got upgraded twice (!!) to even better accomodations - just because.

A note about Ombeni, as a guide can definitely make or break your tour: We both quickly bonded with Ombeni, as he's upbeat, humourous and extremely knowledgeable about anything Tanzania and nature. Ombeni was once a national park ranger, and I feel his vast field experience, combined with his great passion for the job, make him an outstanding guide. In the first 2 days, we saw pretty much everything we could ever ask for. He precisely anticipated where animals would head and placed us at a prime location for photos and enjoyment. We even saw leopards mating! (Or "on their honeymoon", as Ombeni described it.)
He always made sure that we don't go off track as he cares about conservation, and the great camaraderie between him and other guides (yes, competing outfits, too) was both fun to watch and helpful for spotting game. It generally also shows that you're in the hands of a good human. We made memories and a friend for life.

To sum it up - go with Gosheni. It's a tightly run outfit with superb human beings behind the wheel. Literally.

My wife and I decided to go on a 5 day private safari tour in Tanzania. After doing our research and getting a few proposals we decided to go with Gosheni Safaris Africa. That decision turned out to be excellent! We were told we were upgraded to a higher range accommodation for two nights (out of the four nights we planned) free of charge even before the safari started.
Ombeni was our local tour guide and driver. He is full of knowledge and experience and he answered all of our many questions about the safari and about Tanzania itself. We were very comfortable with his driving skills and impressed with his abilities to spot the wildlife from far away. He is also very cheerful and he joked with us a lot. I had the bad luck of feeling not so well during the safari and Ombeni was very flexible with the timing and kept asking about my health during the day.
