Replacing old solid wood worktops with granite.
Our kitchen was 10 years old, we still liked the layout and wall and floor units, however, the beech block wood worktops were tired and in poor condition. We got a quote for granite/quartz replacement worktops but the price was almost that of a new kitchen. We found Granite Transformations on-line and requested a quote, we provided photos and measurements by email and received a quote by return. The quote was within our budget but we wanted to see the product. Peter Mair was our local contact and he visited us in our home with samples and talked through the process. It all seemed very straightforward and no problems were identified, we chose a granite worktop from the large range available. Peter took measurements and drew up the plan immediately therefore no further visit was required.
We waited slightly longer for the supply and fitting times than expected, however a date was agreed and the work was completed in a single day.
Peter and Johnny were an effective team. Sink removal and return, new tap and cooker range removal and re-fitting were all undertaken to a high standard.
The overlay granite has indeed transformed our kitchen giving us the kitchen we wanted at a fraction of full replacement cost. We are delighted with the end result and would recommend the quality of the work undertaken.
