The Story of Green Pheasant Gifts and Home Interiors My name is Jade Barson and I’m the owner and founder of Green Pheasant Gifts and Home Interiors in Preston, Lancashire. In 2020 I made a huge decision to leave my role as a paramedic after 15 years to open my own business. I was looking for more creativity and a better work life balance, so I turned my passion for gifts and interiors into my work by opening a brand-new independent business unlike any other in Preston. I could not have chosen a worse time! I opened Green Pheasant Gifts in March 2020 in Winckley Street, two weeks before Covid and Lockdown! So not off to a great start but every disappointment there is an opportunity. Covid allowed me to concentrate on my e-commerce website which has allowed me to keep up with the depressed economic climate. I chose the Winckley Square Quarter because it brings a touch of the country to the city, which is exactly what I wanted to achieve in Green Pheasant Gifts. I am pleased to be in a conservation area, having the beautiful Winckley Square Gardens, Miller and Avenham parks on our doorstep is such an asset in the centre of the city. Both Harvey, my black Labrador, and I love to stretch our legs on five minute walks during the day. I love to shop locally where possible and realised there must be lots of people like me who were looking for something a little different from the usual high street retailers. The style I love for my own home and accessories is rural chic and of course this has influenced my product selection, I hope you will love them as much as I do. Where possible, I work with local suppliers to provide a truly unique shopping experience. Green Pheasant Gifts is now nearly 4 years old and is becoming a destination for shoppers searching for thoughtful and stylish homeware and presents. If you not able to visit the shop, my aim is to offer the same level of personal service to my online customers. What a lovely place
What a lovely place, initially nipping in due to a daughter who loves jellycat stuffed toys. While she was gushing over the range and size of the toys, they are not cheap :-). We managed to find a lovely gift for their mum. The staff are lovely, friendly and attentive. We will be back !!!

Very odd delivery policy on their…
Very odd delivery policy on their website. Their delivery policy on their website states if a parcel is lost or damaged upon delivery, it is not their responsibility. They note their customers have to contact the courier and deal with it themselves. This is incorrect, in line with the consumer rights act, it is the responsibility of the retailer to rectify any issues with the courier, lost or damaged parcels. The retailer chooses which courier they use to deliver their parcels so anything to do with the courier is their responsibility.
I was met with a rude response from the company when I brought the issue up and they’ve blocked me on social media 😂
Please be aware before buying online.
Update from response - I’m definitely reviewing your company. Please see your notes under your ‘delivery policy’ on your website. This policy isn’t in line with any consumer law. Which? Have a helpful, easy to understand guide titled ‘How to complain if you receive damaged goods in the post’ that may help you understand the consumer rights act.

Good afternoon, we don’t set the rrp, our supplier prices can change for items from delivery to delivery depending on stock availability . Absolutely fantastic small business. I was desperate to get my bunny mad daughter a new release Jellycat Lavender Smudge Bunny, and I KNEW they would fly off the shelves. I messaged their instagram page and got a response the same day with when they estimated stock to arrive and was advised how to get an email to inform me when they did. I signed up, and low and behold got the email earlier than the expected delivery date. I ordered online, it was an easy website to follow. Fair pricing even on postage. The bunny arrived beautifully packaged and in a perfect box to protect it during shipping. It arrived in very good time and I am just thrilled with my experience from start to finish.
