Not the best !!!! My husband and I went for champagne afternoon tea , this was a gift and it was my birthday , we where both really looking forward to it but came away disappointed, we arrived at The palm court room which was lovely and had a great atmosphere , after being seated we where brought a glass of champagne each along with a coffee and pot of tea, which was a bit odd ??! Eventually afternoon tea arrived , we where slightly confused as thought four finger sandwiches , one scone and four tiny little cakes was a bit lacking we asked the waitress if it was right and she said no so went off to get the other part , ten mins later it arrived with crispy sandwiches must have been sitting under the lights in the kitchen , by this time the hot drinks where now cold, after we finished asked the waitress for a box for the cakes I couldn’t eat, sat for five minutes no box arrived just gave up in the end and left them … while the food was nice and place was lovely … the service wasn’t great at all and really spoiled what should have been a special birthday treat

So disappointed. Stayed here for my boyfriend’s birthday, 23.12.22, it’s expensive but the experience was good. But since we left we’ve had issues - the hotel took a pre authorised payment, to cover the room and £50 of food etc, but then debited the full bill (which was much higher). Whilst I confirms the bill was right I didn’t see how much they were debiting as they authorised the payment before I got my card out! Only when I checked my bank the next day did I see what they’d done.
Therefore the pre authorised amount should be being returned to us, but the pending return is £32 down. I’ve emailed and called several times, nobody understands or can explain why it’s down, and either ignore me or give me an answer that doesn’t answer the problem. Trying to find a contact email for a manager is a nightmare and it looks like I’m going to have to raise a dispute with my bank.
Absolutely awful service for a hotel of this standing.

Had our afternoon tea wedding here. The experience was flawless right from the start, with the initial consultation with the wedding coordinator Emma. Compared to another similar venue we got the "extras" the other venue wanted to charge included in the standard package. The girls stopped the night before and then man and wife the night after. The room was massive and almost a suite, which came in handy with the hair and make up girls. The day itself was wonderful, we had a young man called Ben looking after the proceedings making sure we wanted for nothing and ensured things like the soundtrack was on point and that the day flowed seamlessly.

Just returned from a stay at the Grosvenor Pulford. The room we were allocated was supposed to be an executive double, but turned out to be a cramped attic room. Accessed from a set of steep narrow stairs, the room had been shoehorned into such a small space there was only a foot from the bottom of the bed to a wall with the TV on. Wife banged her head on the ceiling badly. Room was recently refurbished, but did not have the space for a double room. Manager apologetic, but the hotel was full. Gave us a small refund, but left very disappointed.

Fantastic Staff!! Lovely Food!! Clean and comfortable rooms!! What more could you want? Could not fault the hotel one bit, we stayed for my partners 30th Birthday mid July and it was perfect. From our first encounter with Laura on reception to our lovely evening meal served by Josh in the restaurant the whole experience was brilliant! We will definitely be returning soon!!

Reservation staff very unhelpful.
Hiding behind data protection but then the management call me &say they should have told me what I needed to know.
Cost me my deposit so it's a win win for the hotel..

I more or less agree with the person who did the review below.

Directors have a bad attitude and are the worst people in the world. I received an email from their wedding co-ordinator threatening to cancel my wedding if a deposit was not paid, bearing in mind they had already had £1000.00. I wasn't aware the second part was due as two years had gone by without a single word from them. They failed to send a reminder and sent a nasty email instead. Then they denied over and over they sent the message even though it clearly stated it come from them. They claimed their IT department looked into this and could not find the email. I was shocked, not only that then, their Directors threatened to cancel our wedding, even after the wedding co-ordinator stated they would never make such threats. We said we wanted it looking into as someone was making threats and a wedding is a big day for anyone, you dont want to pay money for then to turn up on the day and find it cancelled. But instead, they have cancelled our wedding after failing to address their issues as to the threatening emails I had received. Our wedding is next year on 7th August and now this hotel has cancelled on us meaning we have now had to cancel the entire wedding as our second and third options are now booked.
I am disgusted by the treatment of this hotel, we have been messed around, lied to and threatened, now the "Director" has been on the phone been rude and dismissive and then put the phone down on my partner because he didnt want to listen to the mistakes.
It is disgusting how they can ruin someones wedding like this!
