I have to say that after making an initial enquiry (dreaming of buying a banksy) I was very sceptical about investing in art, in truth I know nothing about it. With Harry’s help and advice I turned from a sceptic into someone who owns their first piece of art. Harry is a really great guy with bags of knowledge and I felt he took on board my concerns and also understood my budget and where I was at in my art buying journey. I do actually like the piece I bought, however, as an investment this became less important to me after discussing with Harry and taking his advice. I’m looking forward to visiting the gallery and adding to my collection of one in the future. I would highly recommend Grove Square Galleries and in particular I would highly recommend Harry Gillingwater.

When it comes to advice on my investments, I tend to halt discussions the moment I feel the advisor is trying to push the sale.

When I was dealing with Andy Bateford, I observed that the created a systematic knowledge share about art investment and ownership where I was more educated about this topic in general. This gave me the much-needed time and objectivity to decide on my course of investment in art for the first time.

I am happy I came across such a good advisor. Many other galleries are trying to sell hard and I just could not make up my mind. With Andy, it was more a decision made on my own.

I have also been in discussions with Sebastian, the investment advisor who I found extremely customer focussed and really hope to work with him in future.

Art Investment Consultant James Thomas was helpful and thorough from the word go. He walked me through buying my first artwork with GSG, which will hopefully pay a handsome dividend. The team were knowledgeable and helped me select a concomitant painting. The whole purchasing process was made very simple and I look forward to investing more with James and GSG in the future.

My experience with the gallery so far has been very good: James Thomas has been prompt and professional in dealing with any questions I have had and has made the whole process of purchasing an investment-grade piece of art very easy. As part of the process, I also had an excellent conversation with the gallery director, who was extremely passionate and knowledgeable. A positive experience all round with the only caveat being that, since it is still early days, I haven’t yet seen a return on my investment.

Grove square have been brilliant and I couldn’t recommend them enough! Sam especially has been great in helping me invest and the whole process has been very easy and I look forward to investing more with them in the future.

I want to start by saying I wasn't too sure about investing into art as I always believed it to be something I needed to like and appreciate having in my own home! I have two businesses and was worried about the time it would take to find the right piece and I had no idea about selling art or knowing how it could make me a good return. That is when a Mr James Thomas called me! From start to finish on the first call with him he was able to put all my worries at ease and was very patient in doing so. Very knowledgeable and made me really want to take the plunge. James was professional through the entire process on every single call but in no way came across as salesy (you know those calls we hate) !
