Basically a con! They promised me they would reduce my bills and they did nothing at all and then transferred my account to another business that has also done nothing! Do not give these guys money!!!

They send out spam emails and try to trick people into signing up for their services. Doubt they're even a real company.

There may be a reason for this, but a few simple questions can see if you qualify.

• Have you had an extension?
• Has your property had a refurb?
• Have you been in the property for less than a year?

Dont pay Hampton Lovett anything

Hampton Lovett are a company that promises much but delivers only frustration. They will not get you a refund on your rates billing but they will charge you for a so called "survey" to establish whether your rateable value is worth challenging. They then write lots of letters about how they will go forward and deliver you a saving but this happens only once you have paid them a service fee - usually around £1500. Of course they promise you a nett return etc etc but it does not happen. Then, once the valuation office have completed their work - surprise, surprise we were not entitled to anything. Then Hampton Lovett go quiet, avoiding calls and changing contacts etc.
Our advice is Simply stay away.

Our Experience with Hampton Lovett: Promises vs. RealityOur property was undergoing…

Our property was undergoing renovations, prompting us to seek a reduction in rates and a temporary listing suspension during the construction phase. Hampton Lovett tackled this with taking a 2 steps approach a reduction in our bill from £30,000 to £20,000, which initially seemed like a win-win situation.

However, the reality was quite different. Upon closer examination, it became evident that the actual amount we paid in rates was nearly half of the initially quoted £30,000. This meant that the savings they claimed amounted to only £5,000, not the promised £10,000.

To add to our frustration, Hampton Lovett attempted to charge us additional £5,000 +VAT commission, since we are allowed to put our property on zero listing due to undergoing development, effectively wiping out the entirety of the savings they had touted.

Furthermore, we assumed that the suspension of our zero listing during the renovation period would be included in our initial contract at no additional cost since all documentation and evidences were provided by us so they were only doing an admin role . This assumption turned out to be incorrect, as we were hit with an additional £5,000 +VAT charge.

We tried to reason with them, explaining that these charges were either unjust or, at the very least, excessively high, but our efforts were in vain.

Upon reviewing their terms and conditions, we discovered that to terminate our contract, we were required to provide a justification. We complied with this requirement, only to receive a response stating that to terminate the contract, we would be charged approximately £900.

Throughout this process, we found ourselves constantly chasing Hampton Lovett for resolution.We must have dealt with dozen of their agents!

In conclusion, if you are considering using their services, proceed with caution and a full understanding of the potential pitfalls. Better option would be STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS.

I don't have business premises. I therefore don't pay business rates. When you start out with a lie, it's easy see where any association would go with shysters like this.
