Four crosses - what a night. We laughed from start to finish. Adam and Ethan were brilliant and group two just laughed for the majority of the night which brought some amazing activity. I will say the south team bring nothing short of warmth and laughter. Absolutely amazing night - well done to team south. Adam’s white light protection was very unique 🤪. Thank you guys for an amazing time

We joined Haunted Houses for our Halloween Spooktacular at the fabulous Pen Y lan- Tracy was our team leader and she was absolutely fantastic. Brilliant ghost hunt! Fort Purbrook was extremely active.Although the team assisted with experiments they didn’t actually take part and the whole experience felt very authentic.

What an incredible experience last night. The whole team were amazing we were lucky enough to have witnessed so much activity & talk to a spirit though the Ouija board. Highly recommend this company. The guides were amazing too. Fort purbrook we will definitely be back.

Old Nick
We recently attended The Old Nick in Gainsborough. Due to a traffic diversion we arrived 5 mins late but was soon made welcome and the staff were helpful , however once the event began everything seemed rushed and we had 3 half hour breaks . The event ended at 2.30 and everyone was encouraged to bed down for the night. The description of the event stated the option to explore and carry on ghost hunting yet the leaders of the event had soon donned pyjamas and accused us it wouldn’t really be polite to explore and disturb people who had made long journeys and needed their rest . Also refreshments were to be cleared away and things turned off. We read the event details and all this was not as described . The staff were nice and it is no complaint against them but £180 spent by our group for a limited experience disappointed us so we decided to leave at 3.30 . Due to no more ghost hunting available.

I’m Kit, Manager at Haunted Houses Events. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts following your visit to The Old Nick Theatre.
I’m really pleased to hear you found our team friendly and welcoming — they always do their best to make guests feel comfortable and supported from the moment they arrive. I’m sorry, though, that some parts of the night felt shorter or rushed, and I’d like to offer a little context about how the evening ran.
Doors open from 8.45 p.m., and our welcome, health and safety, and conduct talk begins at 9.00 p.m., ensuring everyone is fully briefed before the investigation starts. The vigils then begin from around 9.20 p.m., following the same structure that has been successfully used at this venue for the past nine years. The investigation included three vigils running from around 9.20 p.m. to 2.00 a.m., with two short twenty-minute breaks for guest comfort and welfare after the first and second vigil. The period you mentioned as a third break was actually the debrief, which forms an important part of the investigation where experiences are shared and evidence is discussed between the groups, discovering what others experienced.
Refreshments were available throughout this time and remained out for the rest of the night and into the morning. The catering was cleared away and hot water turned off around 9.00 a.m. once all had departed. The catering station was routinely cleaned — I’m not sure if this was taken as being cleared away, so we’re sorry if that was the impression given.
A free-time session then ran from 2.00 a.m. to 3.00 a.m., allowing guests to continue light investigating, review footage, or unwind before settling down. After 3.00 a.m., guests were free either to rest in their sleeping areas, quietly continue in smaller pockets, or head home if they preferred. This flexibility is why we don’t advertise the event as finishing at 9 a.m. — instead, we note that guests are welcome to remain at the venue until that time if they choose. Several guests and hosts were still awake well past 3.00 a.m., and some of the team — including Jess — didn’t go to bed until around 4.00 a.m., joining guests for coffee and conversation again in the morning.
It appears, however, that you may have understood the event as offering full freedom to explore the entire venue at any hour of the night. While this isn’t practical to deliver once others have settled to rest, we will review our description wording to ensure this section is even clearer and that no part of its intended meaning can be taken out of context in future.
For safety reasons, our team are encouraged to rest once guests have settled, as they’re not local to the venue and often have long drives and equipment loading the next morning. This ensures everyone remains alert and safe for travel.
From our records, the event ran its full advertised structure and duration, though it’s easy for time to feel different when you’re immersed in the moment and moving through vigils, breaks, and debriefs. We’ll continue to make sure our event descriptions highlight the full schedule clearly for future guests.

Brilliant paranormal investigation hosted by Laura
Absolutely fantastic company. I've been on several paranormal investigations with different companies, and Haunted Houses is the best I have come across. The staff, particularly our host at Bron y Garth, Laura, are great. They are friendly yet professional. All equipment was provided and explained , and expectations were clearly outlined. Laura had us laughing right from the start to put everyone at their ease and to help create the best environment for us to conduct our experiments. We had some phenomenal results because everyone was engaged and fully committed to taking part with an open mind. I also like that no information about the venue or history was imparted before or during the experiments. I've been with other companies that will suggest names or history to guide your investigation, and I really don't like that.
Keep doing what you're doing, Haunted Houses, you are fabulous. Especially Lurking Laura!!

Simply amazing
I spent an amazing 5 hours at Rycroft Hall with my daughter. Ive always been fascinated by the paranormal but had never been to an organised event before , always too scared!!
I experienced objects moving of their own accord (spirit balls), extremely cold spots and was touched on the shoulder when alone but never felt uncomfortable. Our host Laura was superb and helped make the night unforgettable.

Wow - loved every second
Wow, what can I say. We went to Fort Widley Ghost Hunt- Saturday, 11th October 2025 and it was absolutely amazing. The company actually sourced this event for the 11th October as there wasn't originally a event on this date, and I enquired as my sister wanted to do something like this for her hen party and the company found volunteers to give up their time to make this night happen. Our hosts for the evening were Claire, Adam and Ethan and they were all just amazing. We had Claire for our group (3 groups in total) and Claire was engaging and really made the night great.
We had lots of activity with spirit bells and speaker app thing. The tipping table was insane! We are all looking forward to booking more as we think we have found our new hobby. I 100% advise everyone to come and do a hunt, you wont regret it.

Ryecroft Hall - Better than Haunted Happenings
We visited Rycroft Hall last night and our host was Laura. Laura was amazing, very friendly, bubbly and full of energy. She made the experience alot of fun and we had an amazing night. We have previously used a different company but found they have become very large in numbers. This company really makes you feel like a team. Some strange stuff happened last night, some stuff not too sure on and hold a little doubt but this was other people in the group and not the host, Laura, or the company its self. We will definitely be using the company company and would love to have Laura as a host again. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Our hosts (Jess, Bryony and Neil) were great at 30 East Drive. Jess - you’re hilarious, never change 💕 We attended as a 3 and stayed the night in Jean’s room, and can say we all had a fantastic time. I went in a bit skeptical, but really enjoyed the spirit box and the freedom to investigate however we wanted to. I appreciate that the history of the house was held back until the end so we didn’t show any bias in our findings - I feel like we had some pretty convincing interactions after learning what happened there! I think we had a good group, some preferred to observe and others got more involved so it was a good mix and think everyone got to try something
Would definitely try the other locations ☺️

We visited penrhyn old hall in Llandudno last night with haunted houses events… well what I can say, it was amazing! Such a lot of things happened… well worth a visit!

This was our first ghost hunting and we couldn't of chosen a better place than the Skirrid Inn. The hosts were very welcoming and professional. It's nice gathering for a meal before starting the event.
