Completely unreliable and poorly managed

Avoid HelloPaisa at all costs.

I tried to send money to Zimbabwe during an emergency, only to be blindsided by a frozen account. No warning, no SMS, no email, nothing. Just blocked when I actually needed the service. Now suddenly they demand documents, which I submitted immediately, and I’m told to wait up to 24 hours? That delay is unacceptable, especially when people rely on this service for urgent situations. What makes it worse is the complete lack of communication. Why wasn’t I notified in advance that my documents needed updating? Why wait until the exact moment I need to transact to create a problem? This is not just poor service, it’s reckless and inconsiderate. A financial service that fails you when it matters most is useless.

I strongly advise people to stay away.

Reliable service let down by customer support

Hello Paisa as a money transfer service is good overall. They process transactions as quickly as possible, which is appreciated. However, their customer service is very disappointing. Some operators, especially the Indian/Bangladeshi agents, come across as unprofessional and unfriendly. Unfortunately, this is very noticeable when calling their customer service centre, where the tone can be rude and unwelcoming. I hope Hello Paisa takes this seriously and invests in better training for their operators to improve the customer experience.

Paisa is a scam

On 30 October, a payment of R1115 was made to my account by my business partner, as is normal every week, but to my surprise, that transfer never reflected in my account. I waited for a day and later called the Hello Paisa customer care, the most useless platform I have ever come across. From one agent to the other, a lady named Sue assured me that she would escalate and inform the finance department, but till now, 23 November, nothing has happened. On 17 November, another transfer of R10111 was made to my account, and the same thing happened - I haven't received the R1115, and now they have also taken R10111. Hello Paisa is a scammer. I used to doubt people who complained about this scammer masquerading as a bank, but I have been with Hello Paisa since 2019, and this is the last straw. My advice is to avoid those scammers at all costs until they have a physical bank and office where people can go and get their issues resolved. Everything is done online, and if they tell you your issue has been escalated, you have to wait. Four years ago, someone was crying after losing money to this Hello Paisa scammer, and I thought it was a joke. Now it's my turn. Everyone will be a victim slowly but surely. Now, there is a manager named Mpho who promised to help, but I have lost trust. What's the point of a call center if nothing gets resolved? The government should shut down that so-called bank. Hello Paisa is the biggest scam in town, preying on foreign nationals mostly.

Worst customer support ever

They have the worst customer support ever online or physical. They don't respond quickly in case of an emergency. If you try their chat it takes forever and it seems like it's one person attending to hundreds of customers. I moved all my funds and I will block Hello Paisa account soon. I will always tell friends not to be bank with them. I always ignored the signs of how bad Hello Paisa is until money started disappearing from my account. My account was hacked and I lost thousands.

Absolute scam - HelloPaisa

Absolute scam! Transfered over 70k using Remitly. Had no idea Remitly switched from Siyanonga (money reflected in my FNB in 1 hour always) to this company HelloPaisa that has for the past 3 days not had my money reflect in FNB at all. This is unacceptable. No customer service, no support. Just nothing.

They are a bunch of thieves. I sent emails, they do not bother to reply, holding on to the money of a recipient and simply not releasing it with ZERO communication or reason. Stay away!

Us less customer service shity service thieves.transactikns seem to disappear on thier system they don't follow up ,even if you reach out to them they don't respond to the call if I could give a zero rate not even a 1 cause they don't deserve any star spoke to Previous the first day of the 31 St they said they will recreate the order on the1 first was asked to pay extra more amount for my transaction to be successful I called again no ticket was logged the gal precious I spoke to had no idea what I was talking about just useless

This is one of the worst bank ever,my client paid 40K and they immediately blocked my account and mind you that time I had to pay suppliers,they asked me to provide POP and invoice and I did but up to now I am told my account has been sent for review hence clients are waiting for their money.I would never recommend them to anyone.I want my money.

Hello paisa is a Scam,law must intervene

I shouldn't be even giving this one star,I sold my car and my money was deposited immediately into Hello Paisa account ,it's been 6 days now ,they taking me back and fourth with my money ,it's being held ...I am the only one communicating /calling them.They not even engaging with me and very arrogant and unprofessional.Imagine I sold my car coz I have problems to be solved only for them to hold my money even I submitted the papers I could to prove Its legit.

They not bad but steal money by lowering the rate over December specially if you sent money to Thailand went as low as 1.6 bath to a rand more than 20 cents per rand while the exchange was actual better they misuse thai people

Thieves

They are always scamming people their money. Its the second time money transferred into my account (hello paisa account) does not reflect. First consultant told me the amount is reflecting on their side and l should wait few hours and second consultant tells me there is no money showing and my calls are no longer answered. Had to engage my lawyer the first time and seems like l have to engage him again and the SAPC. Its really sressful and draining.
