Great pre event communication.
On the day both the artist (ginger Michael) and the model (Anthony) were professional, fun and friendly.
The event could not have been better, everyone who attended had a great time.
Just book it!

We had a fantastic afternoon at our painting class for my best friend's hen. Gary was an excellent teacher and everyone produced something they were pleased with. He and I also spoke before the event and he was great with providing ideas for the picture and we ended up with something meaningful and personalised to the bride - I don't have any criticisms at all.

In terms of organising the event, Hens with Pens as a company were great to deal with, very responsive over Whatsapp and email and took a lot of the stress out of things for me. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

I booked ‘The Bare Bones’ package for my sisters hen do and had the pleasure of the lovely Rob H as our host. Rob H is absolutely amazing, the whole group was howling with laughter and it was such good fun.

I would 100% recommend, it was the best hen do activity any of the group had done to date and definitely is an icebreaker for anyone who didn’t know each other already.

We booked the Blended Life Art and Cheeky Butler package for our friends hen do at the weekend and it was such a success. Josef and Mike were great and the whole group had so much fun. It was a surprise for the bride and she was a bit nervous but Josef made her feel comfortable straight away and she had the best time! It was great having Mike there also to bring the drinks round so the whole party could enjoy the drawing experience. Would highly recommend. Thank you!

We had a butler and model for my friends hen do. The whole session was fully inclusive for all ages. The model made the whole drawing experience fully enjoyable and fun for all.
I would fully recommend this company to anyone, they communicated throughout very well and answered all questions promptly.

This was a surprise for the bride and it went brilliantly! Although she was initially nervous, John was extremely professional and put everyone at ease. It was a great laugh and a good way to incorporate something cheeky into the hen do, without it being distasteful! Will definitely recommend - especially John!

Review: Life Drawing Evening for a 60th Birthday Celebration

For my friend’s 60th birthday, I wanted to do something truly memorable—and hosting a live male model drawing evening turned out to be the perfect choice. The atmosphere was relaxed, creative, and full of laughter. None of us are professional artists, but that was part of the fun—everyone felt comfortable picking up a pencil, regardless of skill level.

Our model was professional, and struck a great balance between making people feel at ease and keeping the poses interesting. The setup encouraged creativity, and the birthday guest of honor absolutely loved it. It was both a unique and tasteful way to celebrate a milestone birthday—something a little cheeky, a little artistic, and a whole lot of fun.

The evening sparked great conversation, lots of giggles, and some surprisingly good sketches. I would highly recommend this kind of event to anyone looking for a creative, memorable, and laughter-filled way to celebrate a special occasion.

We had a great experience with hens with pens! Michael was able to handle a pretty loud group of 20 girls produce some pretty impressive (if I do say so myself) paintings, and the group had a great time doing so. Booking was easy, communication was easy - I'd recommend!!

We had a great time with Naomi. She made 16 men in their 30s and 40s comfortable with art and kept everyone entertained while we all produced masterpieces that are going to be proudly displayed at the wedding! Would strongly recommend Hens with Pens and Naomi for all your arty party times.

Absolutely fantastic, couldn’t fault the event at all. From start to finish, the planning, organisation, communication and event on the day were all brilliant. Rob H and Lewis did a great job at entertaining a large group of hens and keeping everyone happy. Lots of lighthearted fun and entertainment which everybody enjoyed. We booked the ‘bare bones 60 min model led life drawing’ with Hens with Pens and what a fun event it was! Our model ‘ginger Michael’ was so much fun whilst also keeping it professional. It honestly made the day and the bride had the best time. The games were fast paced and funny and we were in stitches when the bride ended up with Michael’s pants on her head, he was so easy to get on with which made us all at ease! Thanks for making it a day to remember :)

A group of thirteen of us booked with Hens with Pens, specifically the 90 minute model led life drawing on 19/07/2025. Our model, John, was fantastic! He did many different rounds of drawing different people/poses which kept it fun and fast paced. He involved those that wanted to be involved and literally had us laughing until we cried! He even played his own soundtrack of music so it was proper party vibes. Thank you to John and Hens with Pens for giving our bride a day to remember!!

We all had an absolutely fantastic time with Dan. Put us all at ease as wasn’t sure what to expect. Really worked with the group and what we wanted to do but also took charge to make sure it wasn’t ever awkward at all. Would recommend to anyone!!!
