So looking to take my class 1 HGV, I was overwhelmed with options.

Initially I looked at booking everything myself to save money, but the process was not easy and I would have had additional costs for training tools and advice, so decided against as the whole thing was a minefield. Another deciding factor to put this out was the timescales for booking tests which was months where the training companies have pre-booked tests.

With so many companies out there offering similar services, I looked at reviews, services provided and of course cost... Training Academy just stood out.

Once engaged I was assigned a contact (Elliot) who was there throughout and was available to discuss any questions or concerns. An initial payment was made which took me through the Theory and Observation but more importantly gave me access to an on-line tool which emulated the real thing and was a great footing. Passing the Theory with 96% made me think I had made the right choice. A 2nd payment of the balance took me through the Practical Training and test itself (reversing and practical).

I assume this part is put out t a 3rd party based on location and I was put with Ace HGV in Garrett's Green, Paul the instructor was brilliant and I have no doubt his instruction was the reason I passed 1st time. If all the instructors are to this standard, I have no doubt I made the right choice.

Simple things like texts on the days of tests and follow up to see how you got on made the whole process personal and I would highly recommend.
