I've been looking for a house for a long time, most of the time I can't even get a response to my e-mails from the agencies. I saw Hingson homes, I sent an e-mail and they made a quick return and gave me an appointment to see the house immediately. They work with very polite and caring people, I recommend them. Throughout the sale of a property for mutual clients of Higson Homes and mine, Emily has been by far and away the best sales negotiator I have in 34 years had the pleasure to share a sale with, in her efforts to keep the sale moving forward, with some of the most challenging of circumstances for her to have to sort out as a result of a number of time-wasting buyers. She has always been prompt in her replies and has dealt with all requests for information, needed to keep the sale moving, with speed and clarity. And a great deal of good humour !

Emily received me well during my visit to the office to inquire about property for rent. She took time to explain things to me and made every effort to exceed my expectations. It was about the first time I had been warmly received in an office by a staff.

I moved into a home that was run by a different letting agent, then 18 months into my tenancy for no reason at all we was changed to the dreaded Higson homes, already knowing of their reputation because of family that have worked alongside the owner in the past and family in the same business that know of her antics already I wasn’t best pleased.

To say this company is unprofessional is an understatement. Between these and my landlord Anna fussey / Hillaby neither managed to get in contact and let us know the management team was changing, first I knew was when I got a letter through the post with a date of inspection on it, confused I contacted them thinking they had the wrong address to be told she is the new management team.

As professionals in the industry they do very little to show their professionalism and speak to people like dirt on the phone. They have no respect for tenants or the landlords properties they are looking after by the looks of things.

I have had a worker in my home swearing away and telling me the workers in the office are as thick as pig sh** and then refusing to do work.

In inspections they have identified things that they say needs a repair and then highlight the same thing again when they come Back on next inspection because they didn’t bother to send anyone to fix it the first time.

After obtaining the landlords number it appears she is in support if her house been left in a state of disrepair or doesn’t have the courage to tell her best mate Joni that she is doing a bad job.

The attitude of the staff on the phone is disgusting and very unprofessional, with them admitting that they don’t care about this fact. They choose our appoint times for us because it better suits what time they go home and go to work and are passing not appointments that are
Suitable for the tenants and then leave us waiting half hour to an hour cos they are never on time.

They sent a repair worker to my home at 8 am for a repair that was booked for 9 am because I have children to get ready and get to school, 2 of them have adhd and are in set routines which anyone of with children the dame will aprreciate how hard it can be to take them out the routine, the worker arrived at 8am and said well I fu****g start at 8 not 9 and in the end left the property after been abusive and swearing more in front of neighbours children and the camera and this was because the kettle and toaster that I was using for breakfast was in his way, which wouldn’t have been if he had been on time. Higson then told me I should be thankful a builder turned up early and tough. The repair is still outstanding nearly a year later along with at least 1 other repair that was identified on an inspection 2 years ago.

We just recently received a section 21 we didn’t know it was coming until the solicitor posted it via Royal Mail, haven’t heard a word from the landlord Anna fussey / hillaby nor have we heard anything from higson homes. It’s a blessing in disguise, the disgusting staff at Higson homes prey on your vulnerability and use it to their advantage to manipulate you and the situation, and we have been pushed before we jumped, we started looking for new properties about a month ago, just have to be less selective on what we take now time is not on our side but good luck to the next victims that take the tenancy.

The property is clean and well maintained. Housemates were also kind and clean. Higson Homes staff are all very responsive with every query and concern.
