Mubashar is Amazing!!

I was having trouble in trying to get a tenant out of a property, Mubashar offered great support and advice from the moment I was introduced.
I Would definitely recommend him, and on the day of court he was very professional and efficient and he got the right outcome.

Highly recommended

Through the whole process communication has been excellent. Emma who dealt with my case is knowledgeable and supported me through every appointment and form that was required. She and the company did their absolute best for me as a client under no win no fee claims to maximise the total amount I received for my injury. Which was a trip and fall that was not my fault. Emma made sure everything was straight forwards and was always there to answer any questions I may have had. I cannot thank Emma enough. I am highly satisfied with my experience with Emma and Hodge Jones and Allen solicitors.

Highly unprofessional staff with no apparent supervision or management

I spent hours of my time carefully laying out in writing the details of a data breach that has traumatised me. This breach stemmed from ongoing divorce proceedings against a domestic abuser and alleged white-collar criminal. I was told by a legal secretary at Hodge Jones & Allen that a solicitor at the firm could help with the matter if I could wait for her schedule to free up in ~10 days. When I didn't hear back, I followed up and received an email from the solicitor suggesting a call early the following week. To accommodate this-- because the matter was extremely important to me and I wanted it dealt with a as a priority-- I cleared three days of my week completely and offered any time in those days to the solicitor.

She didn't bother to get back to me.

Having realised my time had been wasted-- and now having little time in which to find another firm, where I might also be messed around in similar fashion anyway-- I asked the legal secretary for the managing partner's name. Twice. She evidently refuses to give it to me or to explain why she won't give it to me.

Instead, the solicitor, Karolina Kupczyk, wrote back to me saying that now she could schedule a call after all, and asking me for information that I had already provided. I was neither impressed by this inattention to detail nor by the apparent attempt to keep me from speaking to the firm's management-- unless of course they have no management, which is another problem that ought to make you want to avoid them.

I thus attempted to raise this within the firm so that a supervisor was aware that I had been strung along while highly vulnerable, but because my request for the managing partner's email was ignored twice, I'm raising it publicly here instead-- for starters.

I'm a UK Press Card holder and if I'm able to survive my divorce proceedings, I intend to cover this kind of behaviour in a long-form essay on the torment that women are subjected to by the people who have the power to help them. Public shaming in a high-profile outlet is likely the only way anyone in the legal profession (and the institutions that allegedly regulate them but only pocket high fees, like the SRA) will shape up.

It's hard enough going through the English court system as a victim of domestic abuse. When solicitors say that they will help and ask you to wait and then fail to follow up, this exponentially increases the suffering of those of us in this situation. We expect our abusers to hurt us; we do not expect it from legal professionals we go to for help.

We apologise that you have had to raise concerns this way.

We can see that you initially made contact with us on 8 July 2025. The partner allocated your enquiry was unable to review this until 21 July 2025 and you agreed that was acceptable. Unfortunately due to a busier than expected work schedule the partner was unable to come back to you until 24 July. She requested some further documentation and suggested an initial call and provided her mobile number. You confirmed on 25 July that you were available for a call the following week, at the beginning of August. Unfortunately the call has not taken place. The partner followed up with an email on 8 August, but it appears this crossed with your email of the same day raising your concerns.

We are sorry that your emails requesting the matter be escalated were not actioned but as at 8 and 12 August the Head of Department was on annual leave and the solicitor informed you of this and offered a contact upon her return from leave.

We were unaware that there was an urgency to the matter as you had confirmed you were happy to wait for the partner to be available a few weeks after your initial enquiry. However, we sincerely apologise for any upset and inconvenience caused as this falls below our usual standard of service.

If you have not secured alternative legal advice, we would still be willing to discuss your matter and how we may be able to assist.

Won't bother really

Honestly I really don't know. Got an email back from Civil liberties dep.
made a call, and this lass with not a clear diction said immediately
NoCapacity. Explained about the email received just 1 minute before her N.C. not happy to be disappointed, she asked me about case and whom sent the email.
Discrimination& plus, and Civil department what followed, to be told was a mistake made by another receptionist, hence getting my phone number she reassure passing to whom would have called back,
Have you heard from them?
I haven't!!
So moral of the Fairytale:
Receptionist 0 star
Team 1 star as I would not ever bother if not sure 100% win.
Received email from the Council and reviewing case.
Is that possible because I told them as Litigant Person I'm taking to Court its Authority for Discrimination Equality Act 2010 and band 3 45k
as suggested by HJ&AS?
Guess they ain't that clever too these people as 45k and 75% would grab the attention for many. Can't even smell money, and looks as a bit greedy. Was not 33.750£ not enough?
That is why 4.8 ...almost.
If the Law is what they profess, then Maths is what they lack.
Glad to be with that 4% if not meant to be, then a Sign of the cover ain't always what appears. 🤏🤌

Supportive, Clear, and Always Professional

dismissing customers without even bothering to find out there needs etc

Online form does not give enough room to explain anything in detail , you get dismissed with no help towards any cognitive issues and told to go elsewhere without them even ringing or clarifying why you are contacting them in the first place, filling the form out states somebody will contact you , only to say they can’t help even though they don’t know any information.
making assumptions without knowledge or willing to find out any information from a customer about the situation is very unprofessional adding further to the distress in the situation.

As you know yourself what you are currently stating is false the email you sent me specifically said you can’t help as it’s not a negligence claim , you stated this without even contacting for details or information therefore you just presumed and penalised a customer and you clearly was not willing to help at all, you could of stated earlier you wasn’t going to get back to or contact customers with this instead of misleading me and wasting time. Also following up my review you seem to have lied and contradicted what you sent me in email this review states completely different to what you sent me via email.

Helpful, Supportive, and Professional

Arifah was incredibly helpful and supportive throughout my personal injury process. Due to various delays on the defendant’s side, we ended up working together for nearly 12 months. During that time, she consistently kept me informed of any updates or changes, which made a stressful experience much more manageable.

As we approached the final stages of the process, Arifah happened to be on holiday. Even then, I felt well looked after. Chloe, one of her colleagues, promptly reached out with updates as soon as anything changed. It was reassuring to know that there was a clear handover in place and that I would continue to be supported even in Arifah’s absence.

Everyone I interacted with was professional, responsive, and genuinely supportive. I’m really grateful for the excellent care I received from the whole team.

I suffered a serious injury at work

I suffered a serious injury at work. I was financially unable to pay for a solicitor at the time, so thought “No win, no fee” would be a good option.
The company was great at keeping me informed and offered good advice.
The problem was when it came to the final offer/counter offer.
I received several treatment sessions from health professionals along the way.

It was explained by my solicitor that the cost of the treatments would not be taken out of the final settlement. But it was.

I queried a report that had been completed and sent via email. As it sounded like I would
Be the one paying for the treatment out of the final settlement.
I was advised a lot of people query this information but was reassured it was nothing to worry about, and that I would receive the full settlement.

I did not, as the treatments were taken from the final settlement.

I feel letdown and upset regarding this, as I feel I was not correctly advised .
