The packers and removalists were fabulous.

The guys who worked on the move worked in hot and humid conditions but kept going non stop. They were careful and competent. The price was good and we are happy with the company overall.

I would highly recommend Holloway Removals, especially Chris and Angus! They were wonderful and made our moving quick and easy. Our former unit is located at the 3rd floor without lifts, but they were resourceful and it looked easy for them. The way to our new place is a bit tricky but they even arrived first before us. The move was quick and easy, I was expecting it will take at least 4 hrs, but it only took 2 hrs. On my next move, will definitely contact Hollaway again!

The team who carried out our removal were the best. For various reasons the move took a long time and they worked tirelessly until very late.

Excellent. James, Marcello and Bruno are friendly and efficient, and took great care with furniture and valued possessions. They also moved my heavy mid-century lounge suit with apparent ease - quite a feat. Thank you, team!

One of the worst moving experiences I’ve had.

I paid extra to them for professional packing to reduce stress — instead I got chaos, delays, and incompetence. The day was badly managed, inefficient, and dragged out unnecessarily.

The most unacceptable part: my card was charged on the day without authorisation. That alone is a deal-breaker.

Moving is stressful enough — Holloway Removals made it significantly worse and then charged an amount that was completely unreasonable for the service delivered.

Avoid. They don’t secure quality in Queensland.

DO NOT recommend at all. I booked my move 30 days in advance. A day before the pick up they changed the time, no call or explanation, just a text! I had to call them 6 times to get them to come on time. When they came, they didnt have the proper packing material as a result our couch and mattress were not wrapped properly. After all this - they delayed the delivery by a day, again WITHOUT any information , this time not even a text. I had to call again atleast 10 times to ask about the delivery. I had to incur extra cost because of their unprofessional behaviour. Now, they refuse to reply to me or get on a call to make good of the costs that I have incurred.
Please do not use them.

Holloway Removalists were a pleasure to move with. Everything from the initial quote through to the final sign-off went smoothly. Whenever I had questions, I could simply call and it was never any trouble at all.

The team who moved us from Sydney to Brewarrina (rural NSW), led by Pedro, were magnificent. They were punctual, professional, and polite throughout the entire process.

If you’re considering using Holloways don’t bother. They’re expensive and completely unreliable. The initial sales pitch was convincing — they assured us they could handle everything we asked for. Our move was a bit tricky, as we were relocating to a smaller, three-bedroom terrace-style townhouse. I explained to the salesperson that some furniture would need to be lifted over a first-floor balcony and that machinery would be required. I’m not a removalist, so I trusted they would handle this as the professionals. The salesperson confirmed they could manage it.
The night before the move, customer service called to confirm details. I reiterated that the street was narrow and that access via a hoist or similar equipment would be needed to bring furniture over the balcony. She noted it again, but on the day of the move, the team arrived unprepared and without the correct equipment. After several phone calls, I was told a separate hoist company would have to be hired — far too late to complete the job that day. As a result, a lot of our furniture had to be left in the garage.
While the removalists were pleased to accept the drinks and snacks we provided, they seemed reluctant to try manoeuvring the more awkward pieces up the tight staircase. My husband ended up directing them himself just so we’d have beds to sleep in that night.
The customer service and operations team were also impossible to deal with — contradictory advice, long hold times, and a clear lack of coordination. One person said they’d come back Monday to finish the job; another said they’d charge extra to assist with the hoist.
Overall, a disappointing experience with a disorganised, poorly run company. Save yourself the stress and avoid Holloways altogether.

Recently moved with the help of Holloway. Had an excellent experience with Martyn from management and the team Brun and Andre were very helpful and professional. I felt confident that everything was taken well care of. Honestly best price and service. Highly recommend!

My initial quote was for 1 storage unit for 1 year. Movers arrived 3 hours late and were hopeless. 1 kept taking phone calls in between me having to help due to late arrival in an apartment complex with strict timeframes so I held up other tenants. The other mover had never moved furniture before and couldn't lift anything alone. I ended up paying for 2 units for 12 months due to not packing things correctly to fit into one unit. The movers that returned my stuff were amazing. However the company has a 2 hour minimum charge which is clear however this doesn't include the travel time. I understood the 2 hours however this should have included travel also. 1.5 hours was then charged at 3 hours. I would never use or recommend this company again. The accounts staff were rude and when I pointed out the clauses were not correct they just ignored me. Bad experience overall over 12 months.
