Saxo is having a great platform and an…
Saxo is having a great platform and an extensive range of products and an extremely user friendly environment.
There are some drawbacks though that make Saxo less attractive from competitors like IB.
Still high commissions even though though it has been a good effort lately (e.g 2USD /US contract options, 0,08% trade commission for equities, custody fee, exchange rate 0,25% etc) also no advance screening tool, and lack of fundamental research.
In my opinion if they improve on the above they will be increasing enormously their market share especially for the European traders/investors

Some ETFs cannot be traded due to client classification + Eastern European stock availability needs to be improved
In general, Saxo is a really nice platform. This is where I would see my future trading activity. I see however some disadvantages:
- due to my current client classification, I cannot trade specific instruments, like iShares Global Clean Energy UCITS ETF, VanEck Gold Miners UCITS ETF and many others
- I would like to be able to trade also via Saxo many more Eastern European stocks, like OTP, Richter, MOL, Magyar Telekom, Waberer's, Banca Transilvania, Hidroelectrica, Romgaz, Arobs, Petrom and many others. These are not available in Saxo platform, even if specific shares can be requested to be available, but with huge fee to be paid on client side, which is, of course, to be avoided
Should these drawbacks be resolved, I would really like to recommend Saxo to my fellow local traders for daily use.

Regarding certain ETFs, we understand that it can be a struggle. However, we must adhere strictly to regulations, and it is essential to note that a valid Key Information Document (KID) must always be in place for your country of residence, so that the fund can be traded legally. On our website, we offer a very useful filter where you can easily view accessible alternatives.

Lots of cons
Cons:
1) Imposes limits on what option strikes you can buy.
2) Takes 4-5 days to get a deposit withdrawn (I'm on VIP Tier)
3) Advertises low commissions, but it's still in fact a lot more expensive than IBKR. I'm up 3.8% on a stock, but due to commissions i'm $-14 in loss.
4) Customer support rep for VIP accounts used to call me every 2 days. Blocked his number. Would still call consistently wanting to tell me about stuff. Only stopped after explicitly asked to stop (at least).
5) Many stocks that do have option trading available on other platforms are not available for trading on Saxo. You can request them to be added for a fee unless you're a VIP. Shouldn't have to ask. Should just be there.
6) Some stocks have wrong price increments when buying/selling, either a bug or broker pockets the difference. E.g buy at 1.40 on Saxo but IBKR allows for 1.4000 price increments.
7) Generally Saxo is a long term hold kind of broker. If you're a day trader, you'll be paying commissions out of your a** and won't be making profit.

Przejrzysta platforma, dobre wsparcie w języku polskim, w miare niskie prowizje. Na minus stosunkowo mała ilość dostępnym ETFow w Polsce pomimo tego, że konkurencja posiada KIDy.

I don't know why, but they are awfully annoying with questions about my source of income. I gave them everything except my underwear size, but still not enough. I'm in the process of changing the broker.
