Appalling level of customer service
Beware, I was charged €70 for subscription from June 20th to July 20th despite my son finishing school at end of May.
I contacted the company via email several occasions and left numerous voicemails to discuss and no one contacted me.

As Homeschool.ie operates on a monthly subscription basis, it is each user’s responsibility to manage their subscription, including cancellations. The charge in question was for an active subscription that was not cancelled, and as per our terms, refunds are not issued in these cases.
We also note that this is your second one-star review for the same incident, and we will be requesting Trustpilot to remove the duplicate to ensure fairness.
We strive to provide clear policies and responsive support, but we must also apply our terms consistently. Please feel free to contact us via our email support; we’re happy to assist you.

Very outdated methods of teaching
Very outdated methods of teaching - literally like sitting in a classroom. My son was incredibly bored. He felt there no interaction or excitement. No use of graphics in the videos and very poor visual quality too. I wouldn’t recommend.

We sometimes find that younger Primary school students can struggle while using our lessons which is why we always give a free trial of each subject to see if it’s something that will work for your child. Easy to navigate
My daughter is using homeschool for her leaving cert as her main source of learning. She is managing well navigating the lessons but finds the videos quite boring.

Beware…!!
Be careful before signing up to this website. They advertise the first month free. But took the payment immediately. When I contacted them the said it was one free trial in each subject. They don’t answer their phone lines or respond to call back requests.
And they won’t let you cancel subscription for 3 months after you sign up…!

Firstly, we offer a free trial of the first lesson in every subject so that students can experience our lessons before committing to a subscription. You don’t need to sign up or pay to access these free trials, and you can view them here: https://homeschool.ie/leaving-certificate/.
Regarding the subscription terms, we have a 3-month minimum period on monthly subscriptions to reflect the considerable planning and resources involved in delivering our high-quality lessons. This policy is clearly stated at the point of sign-up to avoid any confusion.
We aim to respond promptly to all customer queries. If you experienced a delay in reaching us, we sincerely apologise and are working to improve response times. Please feel free to contact us again, and we’ll do our best to resolve any outstanding issues.

Real Benefit to children
The website is user freely. It is simple for both parent and child to use. The lessons are so well done and put together. The topic for each subject are well organised and the teachers go into great detail on each topic. Been able to pause at any stage and the homework for children to do at the end of each lesson is a great benefit

Fantastic educational site
Fantastic educational site. My daughter misses some classes in school as she tries to keep up with some subjects she doesn't like. She can now go through the subject in her own time like Irish, French and Biology for her academic year, learn and study at her own pace. Such a relief on everyone at home. Extremely informative that relates to her subjects, gives the student a more relaxed way of catching up and as Biology is a struggle for her she can click into her academic subject and go right back to learn it at her own pace on any given time in the evenings and weekends. Thankyou to homeschool.ie every student should avail of this if struggling with a subject or just needs those grinds.

An invaluable aid for studying the Leaving Certification
Homeschool.ie provides a wonderful and affordable service . The quality of the teaching is very impressive as are the notes downloaded after each lesson.
In addition the technical team are prompt and very helpful if there’s any issue.

Fantastic website
It is a fantastic website that helps my 3 daughters learn at home. We live between Italy and Ireland and they get the normal irish education while travelling and never fall behind.

Homeschool.ie is operated by a bunch of scammer teachers.
I would like to add to my review of homeschool.ie. After several weeks of email exchanges regarding cancellation and refund requests, the refund has finally been issued. I appreciate Shane for handling the issue. I will consider using the homeschool.ie platform again when the time comes.
