Whilst I appreciate the help from the customer service officer May. I have to say that this Companies business etiquette leaves a lot to be desired. I objected when they decided to take a C/C payment for a Service I did not ask for. And retained my C/C details without my permission. And worse retained the money they had taken from me with promises of repayment within 20 business days. Guess what I'm still waiting for that payment. Get your act together Honcho.

I registered my business name and domain name using Honcho. Thier software loops would not allow me to transfer my domain name to WIX which is where I wanted to build my site. Their ploy is to trap you into using their web building software. In the end, I registered a new domain name simply to end the fruitless stress of it. Then the process of ensuring that no recurring fees would happen required me to make a call to a support human and have them verify for me over the phone and via email that no further fees will be taken without my consent. So frustrating and expensive. DO NOT RECOMMEND. I normally write good reviews and don't like writing bad ones - but in this instance I feel that consumers need to be aware of the built-in traps that Honcho have put in place.

What a pleasure it was having Kimberley from the Honcho team help me setting up my business website and email. Anytime I had a question sent via email / call Kimberley was very responsive and helped me along the way to get it all set up. I'm now up and running...

I paid $90 to apply for an ABN when the ATO gives you one for FREE! I immediately cancelled and requested a refund and they charged me $43 to cancel. They advertised that the ABN will be emailed through in minutes and once you pay you receive an email saying it could be days. Do not get scammed by this company like I did!

Kimberly was very polite and pleasant to talk to, even though I was a bit confusing for her. She was helpful, explained things thoroughly where I could understand. Willingness to help me with the process.

From the start very professional and gave clear information regarding the ABN and then future Business Name

My son got scammed by this company. He didn't realise it wasn't the ATO when he was setting up his business (he's 19). When he called them they said they would refund $314 of his money and he received the email with the amount and it would be in 20 business days. He is still waiting for his refund and it's been about 2 months. I don't think they ever intended to refund him.
This is a dodgy company and I'm not sure why the government allows it to set up your ABN through them. You are basically giving all your personal information to a third party.
Go to the Govt website abr.gov.au and it will only cost you nothing.

Kimberly was reliable and trustworthy during our business set up process the first time that I requested her for the second business set up. Kimberly explained things that were easy to understand and worked around our schedule into late hours of the night. We truly appreciated her help. She truly was amazing!

Honcho is a scam, you can register an ABN for free through the ATO website. They charge you 100 dollars for a free service, but seeing as they are sponsored on Google their ad shows up first. Do not use these grifters.
