We used HORDE for a home buyers survey. They were professional, efficient and gave us the confidence proceed with the sale knowing the house we were buying was in great shape! As this was the first time we have used a homebuyers survey it was great to know that someone was there to guide us through the process and supply us with a very detailed report. Would certainly recommend and use them in the future.

Very odd and suspicious behaviour, beware. If you use these you might get some money off, but more likely your sale will fall through for no good reason. We had a great survey on the house we were selling from another buyer, but because of problems with their own house, the sale fell through. With our new buyers doing a new survey with Horde, Horde highlighted and red-flagged a load of issues that it was plain to see simply didn't exist or apply to our house at all. Even more suspicious, the buyer phoned up and asked for a £10K reduction in the house price BEFORE horde published their survey. I politely called to discuss it with them, and they said they would call back, but of course didn't. Either negligent, incompetent or (as I personally suspect)....worse.

We had an excellent experience with Horde surveyors who did a Level 3 survey for us on a Victorian conversion flat in London. From start to finish, the service was highly professional, with Matthew Dollery contacting us in advance to enquire about any questions we had. His report was clear and comprehensive with excellent attention to detail and impartiality. We would highly recommend.

This company should not be trusted - and be scared if you’re having your house surveyed by them. Were employed by people buying our house and there were clear motives for the sale to fall through or for the buyer to demand money off the property. To give some background, we had a survey on the property when buying it and we have had two since, one from a potential buyer a year ago, and one now from our new buyer - both Level 3 surveys - not highlighting any of the supposed major issues with highlighted by this surveyor. Also rude and noisy when visiting the property in which they spent 4 hours! As I say, clear motives at play.

Absolutely brilliant. Used for a home buying survey, Matthew was professional and polite. He produced a fantastic report which was really clear, took time to talk through any and all issues raised. All at a very reasonable price. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

My experience with Horde was very good. Very prompt with responses. Very quick in getting a valuation done when needed and turnaround of the reports. I was looking at other companies and was sating would need £700 plus VAT with up to 8 weeks for the valuation. So hose was Very reasonable price.

Abbygale was great and Matthew carried out the valuation and was very good with communication and managed to fit me in sooner on the day which made it better for me. Which was really good.

Very pleased with the survey and initial communications. The process was let down by failing to contact me as promised on the day of the survey and a call after the survey was published. The on the day summary was important to me and having chased it up, I received a call three days later.

My experience with Horde was excellent from start to finish. I rang them to enquire about having a survey on a potential property purchase. They informed me what would be covered in the survey, sent me an example report and quoted me £660. I was kept up to date at all times, and was able to speak to the surveyor Claire before survey to highlight any concerns, had a verbal report just after the survey, and then once I had the formal report was able to discuss with her any potential concerns. Excellent communication and service throughout - thank you!

Efficient and responsive. I hired them for a structural survey which they performed within time. I also had requested a check on specific things during the survey which they happily accommodated.

Very detailed and thorough survey done, by the extremely helpful Adrian. He provided an initial email summary, including responses to things I particularly wanted looked at and I was able to follow-up with a phone call where he patiently explained some of the more technical terms and also provided suggestions on what could be done. Received the full and comprehensive survey the following week.
Nadia also great to liaise with, timely and well informed, particularly when originally arranging the survey.

We had a level 3 survey done a month ago and it was very detailed and informative. Thanks to our surveyor we found out about a subsidence issue and luckily stopped the sale. We are now buying another house and again, the survey helped us to do an informed decision about our purchase. We can highly recommend Silence Hurn Building Consulting and especially Adrian Webb (our surveyor) who has a great attention to detail and will happily answer any of your questions and queries in a timely manner. In addition, we think the price was fair compared to other quotes we received from similar companies.
