Having found Horologica by recommendation, on our first meeting, I was impressed by Gordon's knowledge of clocks. So, I had no hesitation in leaving my two clocks with him, one of which had sentimental connections. I liked (what turned out to be) his "under promise and over deliver" approach which was both in terms of cost and timescale. Time will tell (no pun intended) how good the repairs are but I am fully confident in Gordon's work and would not hesitate to recommend him to others.

Huge thanks to Gordon who drove some considerable distance to us to work out what was needed to repair our much-loved family grandfather clock which was out of action and in need of much TLC. Then, subsequent to this visit, he happily offered perceptive advice and several suggestions to enable us to get it going ourselves once more when it stopped again after unfortunately being over-wound. Extremely knowledgeable and a brilliant problem-solver, we cannot recommend him too highly.

My craftsman made pendulum quartz clock no longer kept time. Many clock repairers are a bit sniffy about quartz clocks but Gordon took on the task without hesitation. He was brilliant. He said the clock was not built to any recognised specification and had parts that were no longer made but this did not faze him. He set to work creating a solution and within a week I had the clock back again, working perfectly. His communication is excellent, his prices extremely reasonable and his craftsmanship is exemplary. 5* and nothing less.

Hard to find the correct words to describe the quality of service provided by Gordon, it's simply out of this world! I had inherited an old ships barometer which had been in our family for several generations. Unfortunately the glass, as is often the case, was cracked right across the barometer. Gordon and his colleagues replaced the glass, polished the bezel, refitted the pointer and returned it to me in under a week. In today's business environment it's hard to find someone as professional as this.

Sent my Schatz ships clock (Quartz) all the way from NE Scotland, nobody up here had seen one with the kind of movement it has and therefore could not fix it.
I could have bought another one but I’m so glad I found Gordon’s website he managed to fix it without having to get a replacement movement so at the end of the day I have a perfectly working original clock !!!

After damaging a 400 day clock that belonged to my late mother, I tried a couple of places to get it repaired.
No one seemed to be able to repair this clock until I contacted Gordon at Horologica.
I was quoted a very reasonable price and dropped the clock off.
The repair was carried out and after a couple of days in which Gordon wanted to test the clock, I was able to collect it.
The clock is now ticking away like new.

I found Gordon Of Horologica on line- I have an old carriage clock where the hands were sticking and it didn't keep good time.It hadn't been serviced for over 30 years. I emailed Gordon and he came across as an expert from the outset. I sent him the clock, he gave me a detailed overview on what needed doing to it, and that was it - it was an excellent experience and the clock came back fully serviced at a very reasonable cost. He emailed me to say that it was ready. I paid him and received it back all within about week. Now the clock is ticking away..
