AVOID THESE PEOPLE !!
I feel obliged to leave a review of my experience with these people, any would be buyer should pay attention to all the negative reviews on here and not all the short worded positives left most likley by the company themselves to hide the negatives. I enquired about a 2004 Range Rover they have listed and specifically asked if it drove nice with no engine or gear box issues and was told yes it drives lovely as I was 3.5 hours on train away , so off I went to see it , as soon as we went on test drive it was juddering and shuddering, upon completion of the test drive and saying im gutted to come all this way to find this and its not for me , Danny just simply looked at me and said “well abother man’s trash is another man’s treasure” and didn’t even say sorry or god forbid give me what I had spent on the train ticket to go see it, he said he could get it fixed next week , but had I not noticed the issue would of happily took my money and let me drive it away !! The next week out of interest I asked if it had been fixed was told yes, but said as it’s a “cheap px” no warranty and also a £180 admin fee , they also put the price up !!! The car was overpriced for the year and spec and what you would say was a typical dealer over the odds retail price and far from a “cheap px price” , i did make a very fair offer concidering it was missing a few things not mentioned and 2 front tyres needed replacing and 2 months mot left, to which they said it would have a new mot once sold and have increased the price !! which bearing in mind once it was paid for you would have no choice in advisorys etc , and like I say after weeks of it not selling at the pre price they bizarrely increased the price !!! I found them rather ignorant and rude like many other people who have left reviews
I will not be checking back to see their typical response they leave to those giving them a negative review

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We take all comments seriously and would like to address the points you have raised.
Firstly, we should point out that you did not go on to purchase this vehicle. This review relates to a viewing and test drive of a 2005 Range Rover, over 20 years old, which was priced accordingly as a part exchange vehicle.
You enquired about the car and made the decision to travel from Portsmouth to view it. We appreciate that is a significant journey, however the purpose of a test drive is for a buyer to assess a vehicle in person before committing, and that is exactly what happened here.
During the test drive, a judder was present and we were completely upfront about it. Nothing was hidden from you. Our sales team immediately offered to have the fault diagnosed and repaired, which we did at our own cost. The issue was traced to a faulty injector, it was replaced, and the vehicle now drives beautifully. Your suggestion that we would have happily taken your money and let you drive away with a known fault is not accurate. We identified the issue with you, acknowledged it on the spot and offered to resolve it. That is the opposite of what you are implying.
You stated on the day that the car was not for you, which we fully respected. However, you continued to come back to us with offers to purchase the vehicle after telling us you did not want it. We find it difficult to reconcile a one star review with a continued interest in buying the car.
Regarding the comment attributed to our sales team, our team do have a relaxed and good-natured manner, as you would expect in a busy used car dealership. Any comment made would have been in good spirit and in the context of a normal conversation. It is very easy to take a single line, repeat it out of context in a review, and make it sound very different to how it was meant.
On the subject of pricing, we use dynamic pricing which is regularly reviewed and adjusted based on current market conditions and comparable stock levels. When competing vehicles sell elsewhere, the market moves and our prices reflect that. In this case, the vehicle also had additional work carried out including the injector repair, and a price adjustment to reflect that investment is not unreasonable.
Regarding your other points, our admin fee of £179 is clearly displayed on our website and on our Autotrader listings and is standard practice across the motor trade. The option to purchase a warranty was available to you. A fresh MOT was to be carried out prior to sale. The front tyres were legal and approximately halfway through their life. The only item missing was a spare wheel, which on a vehicle of this age and price point is not uncommon.
We would also like to address your suggestion that our positive reviews are left by the company. Across Trustpilot and Google we have nearly 2,000 reviews with over 1,000 genuine five star ratings. Trustpilot independently verifies the source of every review and ours are clearly marked as organic. That is not something that can be fabricated and we find that particular accusation both unfounded and disappointing.
We have been established since 2002 and have sold thousands of vehicles in that time. We actively encourage all feedback, positive and negative, as it helps keep a balanced and transparent picture of our business and we believe our track record speaks for itself.

Worst car buying experience
I bought a car from here and it has been nothing but problems from day one. They didn’t even let me do a proper test drive. They took the full payment plus a £179 admin fee and handed the car over as mechanic even inform sales staff it has sensor issue
On the way back home the car suddenly lost power – the speed dropped violently from 70mph to 30mph with no warning. It was terrifying and dangerous. I had to bring it straight back. They said “we’ll fix it” but then gave me a horrible manual car as a replacement that wasn’t even in good condition.I had to call them every single day to chase them. It took them a full 14 days to sort it out. This is the worst car buying experience I’ve ever had.terrible ethics, and terrible after-sales support you have to chase them.

We are sorry you feel your experience was a poor one, but we do think it is important to provide some context for anyone reading this.
The vehicle in question was an 18 year old Toyota Prius with over 93,000 miles, sold at £2,800 as a part exchange to clear vehicle with no warranty.
Despite that, when a hybrid battery cell fault developed after collection, we took the car straight back in and provided you with a free courtesy car so you were not left without transport.
We diagnosed the issue promptly, sent you a video explaining exactly what the fault was, and ordered specialist hybrid battery cells the same day. These are not off the shelf parts, and the time taken was largely down to waiting for them to arrive.
Once they did, the repair was completed within 24 hours, road tested and the car returned to you in full working order, all at no cost to you.
Regarding the courtesy car, it was a roadworthy, taxed and MOT'd vehicle provided free of charge to keep you mobile. It actually sold to its next owner within an hour of you returning it and they were very happy with it.
We would also clarify that all customers are welcome to test drive before purchase, and the admin fee is clearly detailed on the invoice, our website and third party websites that do facilitate this such as AutoTrader as an example, before any transaction is completed.
We understand that any mechanical issue shortly after buying a car is frustrating, and we took every reasonable step to put it right at our own expense, despite having no contractual obligation to do so.

Awful company
In response to your reply which of course was aggressive in nature which appears to be standard for your communication to negative feedback, I would like to point out the following.
Within the first 3 months of purchase, by law, any faults are the responsibility of the garage therefore your comments regarding fixing the car over 3 visits free of charge are null and void.
With the works supposedly carried out by yourselves under that period, bearing in mind the significance of the work and in the timescale of purchase (within 2 weeks) that the workmanship would have lasted the normal period of time that is expected for those components; that is to say at least 5 to 6 years according to a land rover specialist. The same specialist that have reviewed the work and ascertained that the parts have not been installed correctly.
I would like to add that when we brought the vehicle to you, you told us not to worry as you knew the product very well, this obviously was not the case as this is a well known fault (as pointed out by yourselves) which you have been unable to correctly rectify.
I am unsure as to where your offer to look at the car and quote for work (which would be fixing work that was not done correctly but at a cost to us) has come from as at present no response to our email has been received.

Thank you for updating your review. We note that this is now the third version, and we have a record of each edit. We are pleased you have moved from "awful company, awful service, disgusted" to a more considered response, and we will address your points in the same spirit.
Our original reply was factual, not aggressive. We understand that facts can be uncomfortable when they do not support a complaint, but presenting them is not aggression.
Your understanding of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 is not quite right. The Act does not make all faults within three months automatically the dealer's responsibility. The short term right to reject expires at 30 days. After six months, the burden of proof shifts to the consumer to demonstrate that a fault was present or developing at the point of sale. We are now over fifteen months and an estimated 20,000 miles past that point.
You state that a Land Rover specialist has confirmed the parts were "not installed correctly." We are a Land Rover specialist. The report from the garage the vehicle was recovered to states that the O/S inlet manifold is leaking from the seal and suspects the oil cooler may also be leaking. It makes no comment on the cause and does not reference installation. If a different specialist has produced a different report, we would welcome sight of it.
Regarding your comment that no response has been received, the email was sent on the 31st of March. It is now the 2nd of April. A response is being prepared and will be sent directly to the customer in due course.
We stand by everything in our original reply. This vehicle was sold with over 160,000 miles. By December 2025 it had already covered over 176,000. No warranty was taken up despite being offered on four occasions. We carried out extensive repairs free of charge across three visits in the first few months of ownership.

A good reputable company
Thank you 🙏. I purchased a vehicle from horsepower on 27/02/26. I found the company and the staff very helpful and answered any questions i had regarding the car. Im unable to leave comments about the vehicle just yet as i only purchased temporary insurance to drive the vehicle home 60 miles away. Regarding the journey home the vehicle was fine and drove nicely. They had a good selection of vehicles. I myself couldn’t fault the staff who dealt with my purchase. In my eyes a good reputable company to deal with. Thank you again 🙏🙏

Good and honest garage
Took my car in for an MOT, quick service and fixed the small issues on the day and retested that same day too. Price was what I expected it to be so overall a very good garage. Cheers guys 🤙
