Attentive, friendly and informative.

The Staff in your Bath Shop were very helpful, not at all pushy and didn’t rush me into deciding.
The Two reclining chairs are so comfy.
I did have a couple of problems but were quickly resolved by customer service.
Can recommend this furniture.

We had the pleasure of tammy and Julie experience on choosing the correct beds for my father and mother in law.
We chose 2 singles electric with the platinum mattress. We had express delivery so looking forward to this being delivered soon.
They made us feel very welcome and there knowledge was invaluable.

My advice is to go see tammy and Julie asap as there the best.

Can 100 % recommend HSL Bath. I had some really difficult access issues to address and Sue and her team were amazing. Their customer service and care was exemplary during my various visits to store. Sue made phone calls to find out whether the fixed sofa was delivered in small enough sections, and helped measure and re-measure the suite on display. Can't thank them enough. A friend was so impressed that she too has now ordered new sofas from this store! Thanks ladies.

Went into the shop in Bath. Where I was meet by a lovely staff member call Juile where I was made to feel welcome. Even offer a cuppa. I explained I was there on behalf of my father in law to up grade his chair. She kindly explained the different types and options available.
The chair was purchase.
I would certainly recommend this store.

Bath shop, where we were looked after by Jenny, we found she was very knowledgeable about the chair we needed and even found a large piece of the material we wanted to try on our chair for matching. I have promised not to bounce on anymore of the chairs!! Thank you for your help Jenny, you're an asset to HSL.

My chail was delivered today by Paul and Jon, the put my chair where I wanted it placed, both were very pleasant and helpful.

Ability to park at shop. Welcomed by very pleasant staff. We explained what the chair was required for and for who it was needed . The two ladies staff could not have been more helpful and knew exactly what to recommend. It made the shopping a pleasant experience. If needed I would not hesitate to make a future visit.

Do not use HSL if you are elderly & have health issues.
My poor 85 yr old mum purchased a bed & recliner chair in store. Mum struggled to easily get on the bed when she tried it. We asked if it could be lowered, and were assured by the friendly sales person that it would be no problem as they would remove the legs. Mum paid in good faith. On delivery the bed came with castors, which made no difference to the height.
On reporting this issue to customer services on the day of delivery we were assured in writing that a technician would visit to remove the castors. The technician arrived only for us to be told that the castors could not be removed.
Mum's health has deteriorated & she is left with a bed that she cannot use, & is sleeping on her recliner & has been for 4 weeks - is this a way to treat an elderly & vulnerable person?
We have asked for their complaints procedure & name of a senior manager & they have so far ignored my request.
I would add that I would desperately like to find a resolution so that my poor mum can get on/off her bed safely & sleep on her bed.

The staff at the Bath showroom were very helpful, ordering the chair was easy. It was delivered on time by courteous staff. The chair is exactly as I expected. Very happy.

What started out as a good experience resulted into an absolute farce. We were initially told the wait time was 5-6 weeks, and final payment would be taken 3 weeks before delivery. Of course HSL rang dead on 3 weeks before "supposed" delivery date and took the payment balance. We were then told it is not 5-6 weeks wait time, but 6-8 weeks and we were told we had been given the wrong information!!! We are now 8 weeks into waiting for the product and are being given all kinds of different excuses such as the item didn't pass Quality Control and we should have been told, and clearly never were. We are now 2 weeks before Christmas and it's looking very unlikely we will receive the chair. Bearing in mind we ordered this in October as this was a gift. We were made all kinds of promises by the showroom staff but in actual fact HSL didn't abide with any of their own deadlines. No-one ever contacted us about these delays. We had to do all the chasing ourselves. We were told before placing our order that this is a family business and they really care about their customers. Really? They only seemed to care until full payment was made. Then we had to do all the running around and chasing. Would I recommend HSL now? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!!

*UPDATE* (19 Feb 2026):
Just to update my review from October. Still waiting for the goodwill gesture promised to us 4 months ago. Not the least bit interested now, but just another example of HSL over-promising and under-delivering!

The fact that it is battery means that we do not have wires from. The mains plug on the wall to the chair which could be a trip hazard.

From show room to delivery unbeatable service.

I am writing this review sat in my lovely riser recliner delivered this morning by two very helpful gentlemen. I was telephoned when they were on there way, and wen they arrived nothinng was too much trouble. Thankyou very much too the ladies in the Bth stre and the delivery team.
