Very helpful and friendly staff, from Jason in the sales room to Alex and Michael who delivered the chair efficiently and professionally.

Adam was very helpful in helping us find the exact chair we wanted and gave us lots of fabric choices, providing us with a cup of tea as well!

Phil who served us was very helpful and gave us all the advice needed. He took time to demonstrate the functions of the different chairs we were looking at in order for us to choose the right product for my elderly mum.

Staff in shop very knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant. They did not rush you. Delivery was as promised

my wife and myself were made very welcome by Adam at the Stockport store he made us feel very comfortable as we tried electric recliner chairs.

I visited the Portwood (Stockport) store with my mum who’s in her eighties. We were greeted by Jason who immediately engaged with my Mum to find out what she wanted. None of this was pushy or overbearing and put us both at ease. We identified the right size of chair and Jason took mum through the options. He also tried different sizes with her to ensure that the fit was correct.
Before she selected her options Jason also showed her a different range to ensure that she’d chosen correctly. Mum’s feedback was that his service was 11/10!

The staff at the Stockport store were really helpful and listened to us.
The chairs were delivered yesterday by Alex and Paul D who were pleasant, polite and efficient. Couldn’t ask for more.
Just waiting for the sofa now!

We arranged a home visit from HSL. The appointment was set up within days. The representatives turned up on time and gave updates prior to arrival.
The client is 95 years old with mobility issues. Philip Clarke from the from the Stockport branch was very professional and personable. He took time to ensure the best fit and gave clear concise advice on the product ( Helmsley Grande).
It was a lovely stress free experience. The chair is beautiful and a purchase was arranged.

Lovely company to deal with. The office staff were very helpful and the staff that came to demonstrate and then deliver the chair (Richard, Ian, Carl F and Shane) were kind and thoughtful.

My 3 seater sofa was delivered on 2 December , the delivery me, Craig and Damon were very nice.
They removed all the packaging, placed the sofa where i wanted it.
They explained to me how to use the remote and also tried the sofa out, to see everything was ok, was satisfied with there service

Craig and Damon were very efficient and friendly. They demonstrated the controls on the chairs and overall an excellent delivery.

Very pleased with service, Phil and Ian from Stockport branch brought a Himolla, swivel, rise, recliner chair to our Home for my husband to try. Very good service, Phil explained everything clearly with NO PRESSURE to purchase.
Chair was delivered by two very nice cheerful gents LEE R and CARL F.

I ordered a sofa in October 2025 from hslchairs. As I hadn’t heard anything after 5 weeks, I called to see when I should expect my furniture, I was informed that it was ready and I should expect a call soon. I then received a call a few days later with a delivery date.
The delivery drivers, Gordon and Assad, were very friendly, polite and professional. They had assembled my furniture in around 10 minutes and demonstrated how to use it. They removed all the packaging and left the area clean and tidy. My new furniture looked amazing.
Unfortunately within weeks of using the furniture, which is claimed to help with back support, I have been unable to sit on it due to severe neck and back problems. A few years ago I had 2 spinal surgeries, one in my lower back and one in my neck and I saved up for years to buy a specialist piece of furniture to help with recovery, but there doesn’t seem to be enough lumbar support and the head rest is too bulky, which pushes my neck too far forward where I have a metal plate in my spine/neck. It’s even worse in recliner position.
I haven’t been able to sit on it for the last 3 months, I have complained to HSL as I feel it’s not lived up to expectations, but they say they aren’t obligated to take any action as they sent a technician out, who reported there were no manufacturing issues.
The manufacturing issue is…. the furniture has caused further neck and back problems when it was designed and recommended for posture support, which it has failed to live up to.
I am in my 60’s, with multiple health issues, having spent my savings on a piece of furniture that was meant to relieve my pain, but has left me with nowhere to sit as it’s caused more spinal problems and more hospital appointments and HSL have completely disregarded my concerns, leaving me with nothing to sit on and no funds to replace it with something suitable. I am really disappointed that such a big company can do this to trusting customers and reading through some of the other poor reviews, I know I’m not the only one who thinks so.

Everything was as they proposed and promised. Delivered on time with great support from delivery team. Many thanks to Carl and Lee for their support.

Salesman Richard at the Stockport showroom was really helpful in explaining the various “Stressful” recliner chairs available and in placing our order and keeping us updated on that.
Delivery by Lee and Graham was nice and easy with no issues. First class service.

If I could give 100% that would not be enough. Debs from Stockport branch was unbelievable we had no idea that there was more to buying an adjustable bed than just sitting on the edge of it. Debs had my husband lying on the beds and thoroughly tested that he was in the correct position. We even got offered a drink. At no time did we feel pressured into buying a bed. In fact Debs and her colleagues made it a pleasurable afternoon out 😂. We did purchase a bed and can’t wait for it to arrive

Whilst we had excellent help by the Stockport staff and having spent £3500 on a chair the delivery people let the company down by being rude on the phone and not giving us a future delivery date as we were on holiday when they wanted to deliver.
