Hertbert Todd & Sons went above and beyond to help us with our broken washing machine. The manufacturers gave us a 3 week appointment to even look at the it and with a baby this wasn’t good enough, especially in lockdown with no family to assist. They were rude and unhelpful. Herbert Todd immediately offered us a replacement, delivered the same day and fitted free of charge. We are incredibly grateful for their assistance

We bought a dishwasher from Herbert Todd before Christmas. The service and delivery were spot on. Unfortunately, we experienced a couple of issues with it. Firstly, one of the spinning arms would not stretch properly and kept coming loose. Adam at Todd's was really helpful and they promptly came out and managed to fix if for me, even bringing a replacement just in case. After this the dishwasher started making strange noises and wasn't working. Once again Adam was great and helped arrange an engineer to put it right.
I am happy to report our dishwasher is working like a dream.
It is the measure of a company as to how they behave when there is a problem. Todds and Adam could not have been more helpful and were very keen to help me get sorted out.
Support your local Indies folks. They actually care about their customers!!!

Will definitely recommend and use Herbert Todd again in the future, amazing customer service. When we discovered a problem with our newly installed dishwasher they sent someone straight out to have a look and replace it for us, not only the same day but within an hour.

After having 2 failed delivery attempts from a National stockist for a Rangemaster cooker and getting worried we wouldn’t have a working cooker for Christmas, we found Herbert Todd locally and they had the model and colour we wanted. What a fantastic and professional service from start to finish, cannot fault them, the delivery and installation team were brilliant (we were not the easiest of locations) and great Customer service from Chris at the Acomb branch. I discovered my freezer had broken down. It was full of food which fortunately hadn't thawed out. Within an hour of a phone call I had a new freezer delivered, installed, and the old one taken away. They went above and beyond expectations and saved the day. everyone was so helpful. I am a confirmed customer now.

I took delivery of two new cookers today for our accommodation service, the staff on the phone and the two engineers went above and beyond to be helpful whilst ordering, delivering and installing. First class service highly recommended, right through from initial phone contact making the order until today's installation.

I have just had work carried out at my home in York by Herbert Todds and it was a top class experience from beginning to end..I would highly recommend them….. where do I begin!! Mel the designer and project manager at Herbert Todd has managed the entire project from start to finish initially helping me decide the style and layout for my new kitchen and room adjacent to the kitchen and the attention to detail has been second to none!! It’s quite daunting when you get your kitchen done along with other rooms etc..... not when you have Mel at the hub of the team! Mel, John and Shaun ( the kitchen fitters and decorators ) all worked harmoniously together to create my dream kitchen and if there was a slight issue within hours it would be rectified to perfection! It made life so much easier having one team do everything rather than different tradesmen coming in and out to fit their work schedule rather than fit in with my schedule and it is this aspect that made the job run smoothly in my opinion. I stayed in Whitby and took a break as I knew the project management was in the capable hands of Mel who coordinated everything efficiently.The quality of the kitchen units and appliances are of high quality and that is why I wouldn’t go anywhere else but Herbert Todds for my goods. It genuinely took the headache out of the whole process as it can be overwhelming to get a reliable team together in all the different areas required when renovating a house. I’m even planning to have my bathroom and upstairs rooms done very soon. Well done Mel and her professional friendly team I love my classy new kitchen see you again soon!!

I recently bought a NEFF oven from Herbert Todd,I can’t recommend them highly enough. Due to COVID everything was done over the phone,they answered when I called and phoned me when they said they would. Their engineer arrived as arranged,swapped oven the ovens and took the old one with him.
I’ll definitely buy from them again.

Strange how all the reviews say cheaper than elsewhere.
I had a Mira sport shower fitted by two men who neither offered to take off shoes and just raced up stairs before I could say anything and no masks. They checked my shower and said though it’s only 3 years old it would cost as much to repair as get a new one. The next time they returned my Wife asked them to put masks on which they did. They were 30 minutes tops. They were taking the old shower away and I stopped them. They looked shocked. My eldest Son asked me to keep it as his shower needed replacing and I told him it would cost a fortune but he insisted. That weekend he replaced the thermostat cleaned it fitted it and has a perfect working shower for a few quid. While I receive an un itemised bill for £410 before vat pushed it up to almost £500. I had looked on line and checked numerous suppliers and the going price of the Mira sport is £200. So I’ve been charged £210 for 30 minutes work. This is scandalous. Never mind the fact my son fixed the shower in n9 time at all. I know who to ask next time I have a shower problem and it won’t be Herbert Todd.

Great customer service , competitively priced - with a freezer purchase significantly cheaper than other places , and delivery at times to suit you.

From start to finish the purchase of our new Montpelier dishwasher was so easy with helpful staff and efficient delivery . I would recommend people to use Herbert Todd & Son anytime

The service has been excellent, much better than using a purely online company. Someone always answers the phone quickly, and we were able to pop into the shop to have a look at something. Also the people who did the deliveries were much friendlier than usual.

Order fridge with 3-5 days for delivery only to find it was out of stock and discontinued.

Prompt and friendly service and such good installation team that I hardly knew they had been and gone. Which is why I will continue to buy my appliances from Herbert Todd as I have for 20 yes
