We recently stayed at two villas on Hvar, Luce di Mare and Luma Hvar. Both were ideally located right on the beautiful seafront in Ivan Dolic, and very well-equipped. They thought of everything! The support we received from Elisha at Hvar Away, before and during our stay, was excellent. This was our first holiday in Hvar, and we we plan on returning.

Elisha & the team were great hosts and very professional. Leading up to our trip, Elisha provided us with tips, a list of activities and car arrangements to make our trip extra smooth. It went a long way with such a big group!

The villa itself was beautiful and comfortable. The location was great and right in the middle of town and walkable to the beach, port and local restaurants! We had a wonderful time and would definitely come back.

We had an incredible family vacation at Villa Azzurro with my adult daughter & boyfriend and my 88-90 year old parents. It was 5 stars throughout. Elisha was super responsive and expertly coordinated our trip; reserving the villa, booking our rental car, arranging our arrival transportation and planned a spectacular Blue Cave & Vis Island private boat tour. The villa itself was beyond gorgeous, we only wished we could have stayed longer. Richard and the onsite team took such good care of us, from the welcome on arrival, the pre-stocked fridge of requested items, beautifully prepared breakfast each day, housekeeping and laundry. We certainly felt very spoilt and if we are lucky enough to visit beautiful Croatia again, will definitely book with Hvar Away.

We recently returned from a holiday in Croatia, specificly the city of Split and the island of Hvar.
We had the help and guidance of Hvar Away and Elisha. The home(Villa Verde) and the service was outstanding. Elisha had everything planned from taxi service, restaurant reservations, boat tours, were spot on! It's also great to wake up to coffee made and breakfast served by our new dear friend Mimi!
The additional help and servicefrom Richard the house manager was also much appreciated. He took care of daily details which made for a stress free holiday. Highest recomendations!

Hvar Away was amazing at helping us coordinate an amazing trip! We utilized Elisha and her team to reserve the most amazing boat day (Simon and the Pelagosa), a night at the villa with private chef which was our best meal the entire trip, a wine tasting and driver to Stari Grad and several other details. And need I say I contacted Elisha to add a bottle of champagne to celebrate our daughter's wedding proposal to a dinner reservation and it was perfectly executed.
The villa is as pictured, perfect for 6-8 people on the most perfect piece of property in Ivan Dolac. We ran on the ocean path each morning, jumped in the water off our own landing area and walked easily to the market and restaurants in ID. The only thing to note is that it is 45 min and a expensive taxi to Hvar main, we liked the peacefulness of the villa but until the road is completed, you are luckily secluded from the chaos which made for a wonderful time.
We truly enjoyed our time at Luma Hvar and the team is outstanding in coordinating experiences and making the most of the island. I hope to return someday!

Absolutely Disappointing – Price-Performance is Outrageous

We were looking forward to a pleasant stay at Vila Bleue on Hvar, but unfortunately, we were very disappointed. At nearly €1,000 per night, we expected a 4–5 star property – in reality, it is more like a 3-star house, which was not clearly communicated beforehand.

The rooms are tiny, sparsely furnished, and don’t even have wardrobes. The furniture feels cheap and partially worn. For 9 people, there are hardly any refrigeration options for food and drinks – especially frustrating since the nearest supermarket is almost an hour away.

The access road is a real challenge and makes arriving unnecessarily stressful. The garden and outdoor areas feel neglected, and right at the entrance we encountered a poisonous plant that sprays liquid when touched – completely unsuitable for children.

The nearby beach is full of trash and not inviting at all. Access to the house is very inconvenient for older guests. The terrace offers no privacy, as other guests walk right by. On the upper terrace, there are no sunshades, making it barely comfortable to use.

Overall, the price is completely out of proportion to the standard offered. We were extremely disappointed – neither the location nor the price justifies the poor condition and lack of care for the property.

We had the most wonderful experience with Hvar Away. From the very beginning, Elisha was incredibly helpful, not only in finding us the perfect house to rent for our family of six, but also in making sure our stay on the island was seamless. They went above and beyond by advising us on where to eat, what to do, and even where to buy the best local vegetables, which made us feel instantly at home.

The house itself was nothing short of a corner of paradise, set amidst lush vegetation with its own private beaches, it offered complete tranquility and beauty in every direction. It was the perfect retreat for both parents and children, combining comfort, privacy, and a truly unique setting.

We cannot recommend Hvar Away highly enough, their exceptional service and stunning properties made our stay in Hvar unforgettable.

Myself and 6 friends stayed at "Vertigo Palace" to celebrate my birthday. Such a beautiful villa tucked away in the streets of Jelsa, you would think you were hidden in the middle of nowhere. Beautiful calming space, and just a short walk from the supermarket - so we never had to drive anywhere.

The service from Hvar Away was incredible both before and during the time. They went out of their way to answer every question, and while we were there , there was never a request too big. I was really touched when at my birthday dinner at a restaurant, Elisha (from Hvar Away) organised a surprise bottle of bubbles for me.

Having everything so well organised, and never really having to think about anything made for such a memorable stay. I would HIGHLY recommend Hvar away.

In June I took my family through Croatia for 30 days, and the highlight of the trip was the stay with Hvar Away at “Villa Grace”.

Elisha was an amazing host, greeted us on arrival and gave a tour of the home which really started things off properly.

Throughout our stay Elisha catered to all of our needs, facilitated special requests and organized amazing activities ranging from boating excursions to a personal chef at our villa (which was the best dinner of the vacation!)

The entire trip was magical, and one we look forward to repeating.

We had a fantastic time at Villa Belpur in Pitve. We were a family of 6 with three older children. The property is excellent. The ground floor is a very large, stlyishly-designed open plan space with kitchen and living area which was perfect for us. The outside space wraps around the villa and is huge with a great view to the hills and then also to the sea from the first floor terrace. All the bedrooms are on this floor and are all en-suite. In the basement, we regularly used the pool table, excellent sauna and hot tub.
Elisha at Hvar Away is lovely, helpful and super-responsive. Thanks to Tina also for meeting us on arrival and showing us how everything works and how not to break the patio doors :).
Some tips and recommendations:
- car is needed really (taxis are expensive)
- the local Tommy supermarket is very close but quite expensive
- we found eating out to be fairly reasonable and the local Konoba Dvor Dubokovic is beautiful with huge portions
- Stari Grad is a must visit, great restaurants around a very picturesque bay
- We also enjoyed Vrbosk which is a great location to hire a bike. You can cycle to Jelsa from here along the coast.

What an incredible, high end experience booking our wonderful Villa Estelle through Hvar Away! I just knew we were going to be so well looked after the minute I reached out to Elisha to ask questions about some villas. Her efficiency, communication and knowledge were exceptional and we couldn’t wait to arrive on the island of Hvar. The moment we opened that gate to our Villa in the countryside, we immediately relaxed and switched off from the world. The most tranquil, rustic place to stay for a week, listening to the church bells and cicadas everyday, enjoying the local restaurant and speaking with some locals. Elisha made everything so easy, always on hand to book our boat, taxi, chef, car hire and of course recommend all the incredible beaches we could go to that suited our group. We can’t wait to get back to Hvar and experience some of the other properties in the portfolio. A truely memorable experience, that’s really left a lasting impression on our whole group. I can’t recommend Hvar Away more to take care of your travel to Hvar!

Just a few weeks before our trip, we stumbled across Hvar Away and made a last-minute decision to rent Villa Dvor Ardito in the charming village of Pitve. Thank goodness we did! Elisha was organized, professional and communicative. The villa was charming and comfortable. All questions were responded to promptly. Best of all, Elisha helped with local restaurant recommendations, reservations, a car rental, and booked our favorite activity on the entire trip- a gorgeous chartered boat to explore the surrounding islands. This was our first time to Croatia and booking through Elisha and Hvar Away made us feel like a local. I would visit Hvar and book through Hvar Away again in an instant.

5* experience from start to finish. The villa was incredible, and both Elisha and Sanja ensured our week in Hvar was absolutely perfect. So, if you’re looking for a stress free holiday to beautiful Croatia, then you can’t go wrong with Hvar Away.

Hvar Away meet and exceeded my expectation! Elisha was so helpful in giving me information about the island and booking restaurants and excursions for us. Villa Eola was absolutely breathtaking and pristine. We absolutely loved the house and the area. Jelsa is an adorable town and we really fell in love with it. Nikola, the house manager came by and checked on us every day and was responsive immediately for any questions we had. He even brought fresh croissants over for our kids on morning! Milka came over every other day an cleaned up after us which was so nice to have and made it feel like a true vacation. When we had trouble with our boat booking due to weather Elisha made sure to find us another option and that was one of the highlights of our trip! The owners of the villa even came by and brought us wine and showed us around. The hospitality was above and beyond such that we felt like we were visiting family friends! We can't wait to go back!

Elisha was incredible responsive, accommodating and professional from the first booking to the end of our stay.

From the first contact with Elisha and the Hvar away team we knew we were in good hands. We had exceptional service before , during and after our stay. Elisha went above and beyond and surpassed our expectations.

Villa Fulmin - just wow! Stunning views and surroundings. Amazing venue for our special birthday celebrations - my only complaint ...... we didn't stay for longer !!!!

I have tried to write this a few times, but it only reminded me sadly that we are back in reality now that our trip to Croatia is over.
My Husband & I took my parents on a 3 Country tour with the highlight being Croatia to celebrate their 60th Wedding Anniversary as well as their 80th & 81st birthdays.
None of us had been before, so I started researching Villas to try to find truly special places to make them feel the magic of the Country.

Enter Elisha and Hvar Away.
From the first interaction, I was at ease. She was charmingly warm, knowledgeable and refreshingly passionate about the places she offers to travelers. Mostly, we felt that she was invested and excited about making sure we had the trip that would forever be recalled with vibrant memories. Being new to Croatia, we had many questions. ( oh soooo many questions) The team at Hvar Away not only answered each one with great clarity but also suggested things that we had not thought of. You want something out of the box? Ask Elisha. She’s got you.
We finally settled on Villa Azzurro.
Pictures on the site were stunning, but we find often the pictures are not as perfect as reality. Not in this case. The Villa exceeded the images.

If you can snag this Villa, just do it. It was perfection. ( and the toiletries made us feel like we were staying in a spa)
One of our favorite things were how we had these playful swallows flying into the pool on occasion to wet their wings. Chirping little acrobats!
The location was great, private but only a lovely stroll to the main town. If you did not want to walk, we also had a local cab’s number they gave us who was always available within 20 minutes when we texted.

Hvar Away also arranged a private chef for us one evening, Kristijan Rojnica.

What an evening.
Literally one of the best of our lives. My parents glowed. My Mom learned how to Saber Champagne and they felt so attended too, so special. The food… man…. I just can’t even begin to explain how superb this Chef was, how incredibly knowledgeable and yet humble about his talents.

The Villa comes with breakfast prepared for you by staff. We had Angela. She was a ray of sunshine each morning. We were absolutely pampered with a spread that started our day off with fresh bounty and even though we tried to help pick up, she would just laugh and shoo us away.
If you are a coffee lover, you will miss the machine they have for you that produces caffeine in any style you want at the push of a button.
Richard was the Villa Manager and he greeted us with a smile that was so contagious. Anything we needed, he provided. What an awesome team. Not stuffy, full of laughter and they made us feel so welcome the entire time.
I keep going over all the details that they just took over so we could do what you are supposed to when on vacation… relax, laugh till your face hurts and connect with whom you are with.
I can’t say enough about what Hvar Away bought to our experience. We have already told so many friends about our stay and trying to gather another group to go over. We only got a small taste of all the things you can do in this beautiful place.
We certainly know Elisha will be our first call.
