Terrible customer service, mediocre quality

I bought a hoodie and the fit was poor - neither L nor XL fit properly.
I returned the L for XL, but when I sent the XL back I did not receive a refund and no response after emailing 5 times, almost a month after I sent it back. So I am now £90 down and no response at all.

Very disappointed - it has been my first experience with Idioma but I won't be going back.

The clothes also appear very expensive for the quality.

Great designs but poor quality…

Love the designs and have multiple tshirts which are great. However have an expensive hoodie, which has now torn a hole under both arms. Clearly the design isn't very good quality. Very disappointed. Contacted but wasn’t offered a new item.

Love these jumpers, great find

The jumpers are lovely. I bought 2 I liked them so much. I needed to return one and once I managed to contact customer support they did an excellent job. Seth in particular resolved my challenge really well.

This is an excellent quality garment, well made, well fitted. Keep up the good work Idioma.

Difficulty getting in touch about my order

I have paid over £100 for an item which i havent received, which Royal Mail haven't yet received (according to the tracking provided by Idioma) and I have emailed multiple times, used the web form, and used instagram to try to contact the company but have had no reply.

Update - This issue was found to be a problem with Royal Mail rather than Idioma. The company sent me a replacement with 24hr delivery when I was eventually able to make contact.

Wonderful customer service

Wonderful customer service. When royal mail managed to lose my parcel, Idioma were quick to respond to all of my email queries, sorted out sending a replacement and were lovely to deal with. Breath of fresh air

Terrible experience in an ongoing dispute...

I am having a terrible time with this company, and I believe I have been let down in an ongoing dispute.

Let's start from the top.

First, I ordered a jumper in two sizes. I fully intended to send one back. I sent it back within 30 days to receive an email saying I would receive a refund. Two days later, I received an email saying I'd been refunded a gift card to use on the online store. This was a bit annoying as this wasn't stated in the first email or made obvious to me.

I contacted Idioma about this and stated I would like a full refund for my card. They responded by saying they didn't need to refund my card, which I queried as being against UK trading standards law. Their lawyer emailed me back, telling me I was wrong. I emailed them back, stating that their refund policy was unclear.

I decided I didn't have the time to fight this at this point. I liked the quality of my first jumper, so I bought a second. It came and was too big—what a nightmare.

Now that I know their returns policy, I sent the item back to them for a change in size. The return was received a few days later. A week and a half passed, and I sent 1-2 emails chasing said return to finally receive an email from someone saying that the package had been damaged.

By this point, I imagine Idioma doesn't like me, doesn't want to receive my emails, and, quite frankly, doesn't care if I'm a customer or not.

Apparently, the jumper I sent back has a hole in it, and so does the package. This is totally plausible, but with no proof but a simple photo. I'm sure it would be well within someone's rights to just stab a parcel for that annoying customer who's just trying to get a refund.

The dispute is still ongoing, and although they are pleasant in writing emails, I still feel betrayed by this company's lack of customer care and prompt communication.

No refund was given for this ordeal, no apparent changes and no end to the stress caused by losing over £15 in shipping fees and £60 for the apparent damage in the transit jumper.

Idioma sent me a final email today to apologise. They are a small company with only a few staff members, and they were away on holiday, which gives them the right to treat their customers like this...also I have been told the only way to get any money back will be to contact the post office for refunds.

I will also write a full report and send it to the British Trading Standards Authority.

Avoid this company.

2. Second Return Item: We understand that the second jumper you purchased was unfortunately the wrong size, and we completely respect your decision to return it. When we received the garment back, it arrived in damaged condition, with visible holes in both the packaging and the item. This damage, as explained, appeared to have occurred during transit. While we are unable to take responsibility for issues occurring once an item leaves a customer’s hands, we have documented the garment’s condition upon receipt and inspection and have shared this information with you.

3. Royal Mail Claims Process: While we cannot file a claim with Royal Mail directly on your behalf, we are happy to provide supporting documentation to assist you. We truly wish for a positive resolution for you and are here to help with any questions you may have about this process.

Again, we’re sorry for any frustration this has caused and understand that this was not the experience you expected. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we are committed to learning from it. If there’s anything more we can do to help resolve this matter, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Poor customer service

Poor customer service. The refund process takes ages and has some strange policies regarding creased items. Not only they didn't refund my items, they deducted some money to iron them (?) and mentioned I would receive a gift card instead. A week has passed and still no gift card.

Our policy aims to ensure that all items returned to us are in a resalable condition, unworn, and with tags intact. In cases where returned items arrive heavily creased or without tags, a fee may be applied to cover any necessary ironing or cleaning, as outlined in our returns policy. This fee is deducted from any refund issued.

Since your items were determined to be in an unsaleable condition, a cleaning and ironing fee was applied in place of a full refund. Additionally, sale and discounted items are eligible for store credit instead of a direct refund. Your gift card should arrive soon, but if it has not yet, please feel free to reach out to us at the address on our returns and exchanges page, and we’ll be happy to assist you in expediting this.

Bad customer service…

Perhaps if you were to place an order it would all go smoothly. But if you have a query like I did, it seems impossible to get a response. Once sent, you recieve an automated message explaining that if you follow up with another message your query will be sent to the bottom of the queue. I understand the necessity for this with high volumes of customer queries coming in. But I sent them a query over a eight days ago and I am still waiting for a response. I don't have a number to call. This is far less than adequate customer service.
