I bought a product since they told me…

I bought a product since they told me that it is available and they’re going to bring it to me after three days. They called me three days after and they told me that they are going to call me next week ri inform me about the delivery. I couldn’t reach them to express my displeasure and learn more about the delivery date. Few years ago the situation was very different;

Huge delay in refund - no response from IKEA

I am having a similar experience to the other reviews on this page. I made a couple of different orders in April and May 2021 and a few of the fragile items were packed badly and were broken on arrival.

IKEA Greece arranged for the transport company to pick up the broken items (which they were) in exchange for new items. The problem is the new items never arrived (the order AFA9FE6ACB15 still shows it's in transit after 9 months!). I have spoken with the customer service team about six times and emailed twice and have agreed to a refund for the broken items.

Months later there is still no refund and no response to my emails. When I do speak with the customer service representative, the service is friendly and polite, but there is no result. The staff say things will be sorted out and I will get a refund, but nothing has happened after many months. I really don't know what to do given the team doesn't respond to my follow up emails or deliver on on what it has committed to do. It should not be so difficult to resolve something as simple as this.

Can't get my money back - Worst customer service

I bough something two weeks ago, the parcel was not never delivered on time. I called ikea Greece and they asked me initially to contact the shipping company and then they promised that they will contact me within 48 hrs to let me know where the parcel is. They didn't call back. I tried to reach the shipping company and they told me that they don't know where the parcel is. I called Ikea.gr again and I asked to cancel my order. After 4 calls and several hours at "call wait", I managed to cancel my order. Now they emailed that I will get my money back a few days after ikea.gr receives back the parcel. So now I am waiting for ikea.gr to receive a missing parcel in order to get back my money... It is ridiculous!

I’m still awaiting a refund for goods purchased online from IKEA Greece, absolutely disgusted by total lack of customer service. My order never arrived on Skiathos Island, numerous emails and phone calls, still nothing.
Come on IKEA pay up!

Unbelievably lousy customer service.

- Super incompetent customer service that IKEA outsourced to some 3rd party company.
- Calling them is futile. No one can answer anything.
- E-mailing them is futile, no one answers. It took 1 month and 8 emails for them to answer and when they did, it was yet another "ohh, we're so sorry, bla, bla, blah..."

Incredible really that a global company like IKEA lets this farce continue. Pathetic.

unprofessional and inefficient

in august their phone support could not give me an accurate date as to when they would receive stock. Not even which week they might receive some stock. So basically the customer knows about as much as the IKEA employees.....

Ikea and Its shipping service Delatolas sent me a SMS with a range of 5 hours within the last hour of their set range instead of sending the msg the morning of delivery. I had 40 minutes warning before bringing a massive couch to my home. the lack of warning is thoughtless, unprofessional & assumes I can just drop whatever Im doing to rush home and accommodate for their lack of planning.

I bought a 2 seater coach on 26/8/22…

I bought a 2 seater coach on 26/8/22 order No 13644168826. Deliver date 30/8 and assembly 31/8. Coach was delivered assembly team never arrived. After untold calls to complain and promises that I would be contacted nothing happened only promises. Today I eventually called them again and asked them to give me a date which is now Tuesday 6th total 7 days not including weekends (including weekends I’m without a coach 10days). I am now in anticipation will the assembly team come on the 9th.

Under these circumstances I think I should be refunded for the cost of the assembly or a credit for further purchases at IKEA.

PS. Happy to say that all my moaning and groaning paid off they called me and said they could come today. They arrived at 2:00pm and they were out by 2:10 took them exactly 10 minutes. So alls well😃

Never order delivery from IKEA - your order might be lost without any refund

I have purchased the item from IKEA Athens Airport and ordered a delivery since it was a bulky item, paid for the delivery on a specific day. Needless to say, I have not received my order on the date that I paid for. Further, transport company stated that I have refused to accept my order when I was called (???!!!) and now my order is missing (neither the IKEA branch nor the transportation company can locate my order) and IKEA refuses to provide the refund. Will proceed with the court claim for fraud :(

Adieu Ikea

Adieu Ikea ? Mes 2 dernières commandes de juin à Ikea Chania (CRÈTE), qui devaient m'être livrées sous 2 à 3 semaines, ne sont toujours pas là 45 jours après ! Les articles sont apparemment aux mains de l'entreprise de transport, qui dit avoir reçu d'Ikea un mauvais numéro de tel, et n'avoir pu me contacter ... j'ai dû appeler moi-même Ikea, puis le transporteur, qui m'a fixé un jour de livraison, mais sans horaire. J'ai attendu en vain toute la journée, sans un appel, alors que cette fois le bon numéro était connu. Depuis, plus d'une semaine s'est écoulée, je suis en correspondance par mail avec Ikea et les mauvaises excuses se succèdent, sur le ton le plus aimable. Je me prépare donc à annuler mes commandes. Quelle garantie a t on d'être livré, quelle garantie sur l'état des articles confiés depuis longtemps à des entreprises débordées ou mal organisées, quel dédommagement pour le temps passé à attendre ou essayer de trouver des solutions ? Chez Ikea, le mépris du client est courtois, mais flagrant.

Time and money lost !

I want to place an order to Chania shop, but I can't ! I am in Rethymno, at 65 km from the shop. Why I have to go to the shop for an order and loose time, money and a half day, instead of making this order on-line ! But the shop isn't available on the list. They have no space for orders. But if I go there, they have! How is possible? They don't want to do their work ,because the deposit is empty ! But they don't want to work ! Is more easier this way ! The client........doesn't matter !

Item arrived completely broken

Item arrived completely broken. They sent a replacement but won't pick up the old item, meaning I have to pay for a bulky waste collection which costs £30, even though it's completely their fault not mine.

Had an issue with giftcard.

I rated 1/5 before due to that.
But they resolved the issue in 2 days and gave me discount on the item that couldn't buy the day my giftcard wasnt working.

Not cheap anymore

IKEA is a company that sold cheap furniture with good design but this is not the case anymore. You can find similar quality items in Greek e-shops for way cheaper prices. So IKEA is not cheap anymore.

IKEA on the other hand does nave an excellent after sales support. I have a couch which is more that 10 years old, discontinued. When I had an issue they repaired the couch for free. I was really surprised.
