TW - pregnancy loss. Awful experience.
TW - pregnancy loss. The worst experience of my life. We booked this scan back in December because I had slight bleeding and my anxiety about it was so bad we wanted peace of mind whilst waiting for our nhs scan at the early pregnancy unit. The scan was awful, the lady doing our scan did not speak to us at all even when we asked questions, she did the test in silence despite explaining why we had gone there. She did not seem to know what she was doing, the only she she asked was if our dates were right because she said we were 11 weeks pregnant which we knew was impossible because of when my period was. She said bluntly ‘it’s big but no heartbeat’ but when we asked if it was okay she said yes but did not seem sure and did not give us reassurance which is what we had gone for. The next day we managed to get an nhs scan who told us we only looked about 5 weeks pregnant, we thought we were 8 weeks and growth was less than was expected. Completely different knowledge to the scan from here. We had to come back for a scan 10 days later with the nhs and there had been no change and were told we had a missed miscarriage. This bad experience of a scan just added to our trauma, they did not even send the report like they were supposed to, or do an internal scan which they should do if the scan is unclear/no heartbeat. We did get our money back after fighting for it but avoid this place at all costs, it’s a money grabbing awful place which made the worst time in our life even worse

We are truly sorry to read about your experience and, most importantly, about your loss. We understand how distressing and emotional this time must have been for you, and we are very sorry that you felt unsupported during your visit.
Following your appointment, the scan findings were reviewed by our Clinical Lead as they were inconclusive. As a result, you were offered a follow-up internal scan the following day to obtain clearer information and provide further reassurance. This appointment was accepted initially; however, we understand it was later cancelled, and a full refund was requested. As the scan was inconclusive, we provided a full refund in line with our policy.
We always aim to communicate sensitively and clearly, particularly in early pregnancy where uncertainty can understandably cause significant anxiety. It is never our intention to cause additional distress, and we are very sorry that this was your experience.
We wish you strength and healing during this difficult time.

Amazing Care & Peace of Mind
After spending the first 12 weeks going back and forth to A&E and the EPU with heavy bleeding but no real answers, I was incredibly stressed. Having experienced miscarriages before, you naturally fear the worst. We managed to book a last-minute reassurance scan on the same day at Imaginatal Cardiff, and I cannot thank them enough. They discovered the cause of my bleeding, and we even got to hear our baby’s heartbeat for the first time.
The clinic is such a lovely place and so calming. Every member of staff was kind, supportive, and patient, which put me completely at ease.
We have already booked our gender scan and genuinely cannot wait to return.

Professional and warm experience
We just got back from our appointment in Gloucester. We had some concerns with spotting and went for a reassurance scan. The welcome was warm, and the sonographer was both professional but had a wonderful bedside manner. My wife was made to feel at ease. We were shown a number of images and even took a print away with us. We will definitely be returning

Unfortunately would not reccomend
We had both our gender and 4d scan at the Gloucester clinic . One staff member was at both scans and our rescan 4d. She was extremely miserable and considering this is both an anxious and exciting time for parents she made it feel like we had walked into a morgue .
We needed re scan on our 4d came back for this and images were still not able to be taken due to babies position . Sonographer tried her best and communicated all the way and offered us to come back in the week
Came out and was told very curtly by said receptionist you can come back but if you do that’s it no more and you will have to accept the photos . We took the images we had at that point as we didn’t want to return and feel that we had become a nuisance. We got 2 keying with our package which were printed awfully the picture is tiny covers about a quarter of the keyring and has all the graphics info on it - why would we want that on a key ring?
The sonographers we had were fantastic I will say and this review is not a reflection on them at all. But to walk in and feel we are interrupting a social event because we have had to stop a receptionist mid conversation to check in , for them to not once smile or show any warmth isn’t ok. I understand everyone has bad days and can’t always be expected to be cheerful as a medical professional myself I understand more than most but her manner was awful. Our pregnancy has been rough and our nhs scans can be really tough so we really wanted a nice experience which has been taken away

I’m glad to hear the sonographers looked after you well, and we really appreciate you separating your feedback about them. However, it’s not acceptable that the front-of-house interaction and the way the rescan expectations were communicated made you feel like a burden. We also understand your frustration about the quality of the keyrings — the keepsakes should feel special, not disappointing.
We’d really like the chance to look into this properly and follow it up with the team involved. A member of our management team will be in contact to discuss this with you and ensure it’s addressed appropriately.

Early Reassurance Scan
We had our 6 week early scan at Imaginatal and it was such an incredible experience. The staff were absolutely brilliant, so kind, welcoming and reassuring from the moment we arrived.
The sonographer took the time to explain everything clearly and made us feel completely at ease during such an important appointment. We left feeling happy and so grateful. I would not hesitate to recommend Imaginatal to anyone considering an early scan.

We had the most amazing experience on…
We had the most amazing experience on our 4D scan! We were made to feel welcome as soon as we walked in and the lady on reception made it feel like such a special moment!
The radiographer had so much time for us and the patient of saint as our little one was being very shy 🙈 was suppose to be a 20 minute appointment and we were there for nearly an hour! Thank you so much! We wouldn’t want to go anywhere else to see our baby 💓

A really lovely experience
A really lovely experience, it took not one, but three scans for the to be able to find gender (baby didn’t want to tell us!) and every time they remained so positive and hopeful for us. A lovely warm experience.

The best possible choice
The service was amazing, the doctor was so kind, and I was able to see my baby clearly.
The price was very affordable, and I also received a video, five photos, a fridge magnet, and a keyring — plus, as a surprise, a gift from the clinic.
As a mother, I felt very welcomed and well cared for. Thank you to everyone involved.

Such a lovely , friendly , welcoming bunch of ladies. I felt so comfortable with my whole experience, everything was explained in so much detail and the lady really took her time making sure me and my partner understood what she was showing us. Unfortunately we couldn’t get clear enough images for our 4D scan so we were offered a rescan for next week free of charge which me and my partner highly appreciate. I would 100% recommend this place to family/friends

Baby girl scan at 30 weeks
It was a lovely experience, comforting to know that all baby girls measurements were spot on and she was a good weight. Unfortunately baby decided to play hide and seek today but the staff very kindly offered us another scan without charge next week, we did see her eyes, ears, mouth and nose but not all at once as she was hiding behind her arms and legs, but it was a wonderful experience
