A bunch of thieves and crooks

A bunch of thieves and crooks. They don’t have any cars or panel beaters of their own — they’re just trying to make money off brokerage alone. They’ll collect the money from the insurance, won’t pass it on to the panel beater, and then ask you to take the car to another panel beater — an hour and a half’s drive away — who supposedly “owes them a favor” to fix the car.Don't make the mistake — stay far away from them as you would from fire.

Regarding your reply, first, you are not in a position to warn anyone when you steal and lie; more important your reply is a big lie from the start up to the end. it will all be finalised in VCAT.

Thank you for your feedback. However, after investigating your complaint I have found that most of your claims are false and you have already been warned about it as well.

You have initially requested for us to manage your repairs while you took it to a repairer of your choice.

For whatever reason, after we have already spent costs on managing your repairs such as Assessment Fees, you have requested for us to cease managing the repairs and that you were going to sort it out somehow.

Firstly, our contract states that the minute you terminate the repairs management service, you will be liable for all the costs we have incurred as we won't be able to recover the costs anymore. Despite having explained this to you, you apparently did not care about our T&Cs or about the fact that we were going to be at a loss and proceeded to terminate the repairs process.

Furthermore, we sent you an invoice due to damage made to the hire car and breaching T&Cs by not reporting it, not returning the hire car with full petrol and for all the Tolls you have used. Again, you would ignore this invoice as well.

By this time, we have already received your repair funds. Therefore, as per our T&Cs we have cleared what you owed us by deducting off your settlement. And you have already been warned about all this but again did not care because you were confident AFCA would help you however that was not the case unfortunately for you.

Therefore, I do not find any reason to further investigate this complaint and will be finalising it.

Terrible experience – avoid IMOK at all costs

I had one of the worst customer service experiences with IMOK and would strongly advise anyone to think twice before dealing with them. From the very beginning, they were disorganised and misleading. They promised clear communication and support, but instead, I was constantly left confused and stressed.

They charged me unfair fees and tried to hold me responsible for costs that were never mentioned in the contract — including a “major cleaning” charge that had no basis, especially since I returned the vehicle in excellent condition with photo evidence. On top of that, they refused to reimburse expenses they had agreed to cover (like transport costs to pick up the car and cleaning it when I first received it)

This whole process has been a nightmare — full of false promises, hidden charges, poor communication, and intimidation tactics. I strongly recommend avoiding IMOK if you value transparency, honesty, and peace of mind.

Thanks for your feedback, however we have sufficient evidence to prove that you are being dishonest simply to avoid taking responsibility for your actions.

You have returned the Hire Car in a filthy condition, both exterior and interior wise. We have photos to prove this and can attach them onto this review if you like.

You have already been warned about the cleaning, petrol and toll fees. However, you have still decided to ignore them and return the hire car in such a condition. Therefore, we had no choice but to charge you for the cleaning fees.

Furthermore, we incurred additional hire charges that are unrecoverable even after the rental had been completed. We asked you to rectify this matter but you have ignored our request therefore we had no choice but to charge you.

Awful company to deal with

Awful company to deal with: waited days for a vehicle. One turned up randomly at 9:30pm via airtasker. Then days later unannounced and without warning they repo the car and demanded it goes to another customer…
An airtimes turned up randomly on a Saturday night at 7pm.

Go with anyone else!

Where to Start... DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!!

Where to start.... My claim has been going on since Early March 2024! At first IMOK were the most helpful and were contacting me constantly supplied me with a hire car which I picked up on the 12.3.2024 Then I had to return that car as it was being sold and collect another car on 22.04.2024 which was then repossesed on 24.8.2024 as the hire company was supposedly going into liquidation. After many many phone calls and text messages, I was then supplied the following day another hire car from a company in Sydney that then got repossessed due to non payment of the hire car costs - this was 21.11.2024 and I have been without a vehicle since. My vehicle has beem deemed a total loss, a statement of claim was issued with the courts on 7.12.2024 yet I have not had any communication with the legal team regarding this. I also approved for my vehicle to be sold to the salvage yard and have not receveived that payment. Yet I have been contacted by IMOK's legal team regarding the court case foir the recovery of the hire car fees. The last email communication I have had from this company was the 7th February 2025 - I have called they will not return my calls, they will not reply to my emails. This company is a sham and an absolute joke - they take advantage of people when they are vulnerable and treat you like garbage.

Felt Better Knowing IMOK Had My Back

I felt much better once knowing IMOK had my back as they also provide repairs and insurance claims management services on top of providing hire cars. I'm pretty sure IMOK is the first company to have all 3 services under the one company too which makes things so much more convenient.
