I ordered a Fujifilm X100VI from Impulse Cameras on May 1, 2025 and was charged $1,530.83. My order was confirmed at that price. For more than four months I was told refunds were not possible because the item was backordered. Then I was told I would need to pay more money due to “tariffs.” When I refused to pay extra, my order was canceled without notice.
This is not how to do business. Accepting payment, denying refunds, demanding a higher price, and canceling without notice is both unfair and misleading. These practices run against federal protections like the FTC Mail/Internet Order Rule (16 C.F.R. Part 435), the Uniform Commercial Code, and consumer protection laws in Wisconsin and Massachusetts that prohibit unfair and deceptive acts.
My money was tied up for months, I was pressured to pay more, and I ended up with nothing. Other consumers should be very cautious — this company does not honor confirmed prices or basic consumer rights.
