Ordering a custom leather jacket seemed like a leap of faith for me but from start to finish, Independence Brothers were amazing to deal with. They were very communicative, quick to respond and eager to follow up to ensure my complete satisfaction. The most important piece though is my jacket… it is amazing. I had high expectations and they were all surpassed. The quality of the leather is excellent, craftsmanship is superb and it’s breaking in perfectly.

When I need another jacket, Independence Brothers is now my new go to.

Solid and high quality jacket. I would say it's worth the money I spent and it feels like it will last forever. Not sure how people are having sizing issues. Must be the type of people that find basic instructions hard to read.

I was really excited to buy a jacket from a family-owned company that manufactures here in the US. But the system they use for sizing is just ridiculous. They don't ask you to measure yourSELF, they ask you to measure the OUTSIDE dimensions of a coat that fits you well. I used a windbreaker, and boy was that a mistake -- when the coat arrived it looked great and smelled great and I loved the material, but it was COMICALLY small -- and I see that I'm far from the only one with this experience. (Also -- who else does sizing this way? I've never seen anything so stupid in as long as I've been dressing myself, and I'm 57.) Now I've wasted $325 for a coat I'll never be able to wear.

I sent them measurements after I paid up front and then they started getting emails back and forth that my measurements were all wrong and I kept redoing it and redoing it and redoing it it was a crazy process it wasn't good try to return and tell them if they made a mistake but they didn't want to hear it and they clearly did I sent them the right measurement I measured or fur coat I already have that fits me well this code they sent me would fit in the pocket of the coat I measured all of
Just going to just give it to young child that I know but I was totally ripped off by this company $400 for a coat that wouldn't even get up my arm don't use them

I went for the cow hide and it is a heavy jacket. I love it. It looks great and smells great. My only complaint is that across the shoulders in the back ended up tight and pulls when I reach forward in the jacket such as gripping the steering wheel. That could be my fault for not measuring correctly. Otherwise very happy and looking at maybe buying another in the thinner leather.

I have found Independence Brothers on the internet last year and decided to order a black calf leather jacket - cafe racer style. I sent in a photo of the jacket I wanted to have and some customization details.

The measuring guide was really easy to follow and it gives the opportunity to have the jacket created exactly to your preferences.

When the jacket arrived, I was really amazed by how accurately it was crafted. The measures were followed in every detail. It is the best fitting jacket I ever had. Moreover, the quality of the leather and the stitching is really high. This jacket is build to last. It felt a bit stiff at the beginning, but breaks in really nicely. Great jacket in every aspect.

The customer service is also very professional. At first try, the ordered jacket got stolen and an empty package arrived at my location. After an investigation with the freight forwarder was unsuccessful, Independence Brothers created a new jacket for me and send it to me, without hesitation. Really fantastic support.

I give 5 stars for the jacket. Look and quality is fantastic.

Took the risk and paid $365 for a jacket without trying it on. Took my measurements meticulously as directed. Received a jacket that is WAY too tight to wear. The company blew me off and won't do anything about it. The jacket was nice enough, but it's going in the trash.

I have purchased four Independence Brothers leather jackets. As long as you’re careful with the measurements (if in doubt go with the larger measurement) you’ll get a quality fitted jacket at a fraction of the price of designer brands. I have an All-Saints jacket that’s been hanging in the closet since I got these IB jackets which fit better and look just as nice, if not nicer. I would definitely recommend IB to friends and family who are looking for a quality fitted leather jacket.

I was looking at a couple of companies for a custom leather Jacket. I wanted to know more about the leather worker's welfare. Independence Brother's put my mind at ease and got back to me very quickly. I bought a fully bespoke design and had my doubts about how accurately the jacket would be reproduced given my 4 photoshopped images. However, when the jacket arrived I was blown away, it is beautiful, and a carbon copy of my designs. It also fits like a glove, and makes me feel more confident. I am already thinking of purchasing my next jacket through Independence Brothers. Highly recommended. A note to UK buyers: I had a customs charge of around £85 added on to my parcel, this is no fault of Independence Brothers but something to be aware of.

Their Whiskey Brown Calf leather is awesome. Scott's response is very good also. I do recommend them for your leather jacket as they did minor alterations to their existing models as i asked for. If you are already having a leather jacket that fits you, look no further, and if you are ordering first jacket, make sure you coordinate for your true fit to set up right expectations.

As disclosure, I bought a 3/4 trench jacket in June, then bought my son a suede bomber because these guys are that good. Let me start with tactile descriptions. When the box arrives, its a classy affair, and the folded jacket is in a nice cloth bag with the Indie bros name and logo on it. Right then, the smell of beautifully tanned leather wafts up and you are immediately taken to a different place. Somewhere very expensive and haute couture, say Coach or Louis Vuitton.. Except, this experience comes at less that $500!!!
Then you reach in and touch the jacket, and your fingers savor the smooth resilience of that fabulous full grain cowhide I had specially ordered. Beautifully polished and stitched, exactly the way I had specified. Nobody, and I mean nobody else will take your bespoke specifications and make it into what you want. Only Indie bros make your jacket with the type of leather, the hardware and its color, the inner lining and the specific size that will make you happy.
Then you slip one hand and the next into the sleeves while the luxurious smell envelopes you. You look at yourself in the mirror and you are satisfied. Your wife comes by and stares, and says, Well that sure fits well baby!! And you look good.. thats when you feel happy and smile broadly... As you look at yourself in the mirror, all the memories of those ill fitting expensive trials of the past are forgotten. You are now a different beast, a biker cut from a different cloth, a cowboy that rides the other way, a man that sartorially reigns supreme.... Then you are already thinking of your next Indie Bros purchase... As you wear the jacket all day in your covid inspired lounge pants, because you still look good. So do yourself a favor, dont waste time, just reach out to Scott and brother, and have them make you the man or woman you want to be. Because, these days, any good thing like a great jacket from Indie bros, is to be celebrated. And to say to yourself, You look Great, Baby!!

I have so far had my Jacket for 3 months and I LOVE it my full review can be found on their website but in a summary I'll say this I've been looking for years for a good Jacket and I wanted something different, something that wasn't made many times over and that anyone else could buy and it would be the exact same, but I didn't wanna play 2k+ for something like that and independence brothers does just that they make affordable custom jackets that look great too, my friend who's a leather jacket enthusiast is fixing to order one himself because it's way better than his own leather jacket that he got for 1k

I ordered a jacket late August 2020. Their people took the time to contact me because my measurements seemed strange - I have wide shoulders - and confirmed that they were correct before proceeding.

It took a little while for the jacket to get here, but I love it. It's fitted great and seems very sturdy.

No complaints about it so far whatsoever. I have no reason to believe that it won't last me for years to come.

I purchased my jacket about 6 months ago and it was an excellent buy. Honestly the quality was very nice and the fit was exactly as I had wanted it.

Scott and the team are very responsive and easy to work with as well. Every question I asked was promptly responded to in a professional manner and I feel like they go out of their way to be personally involved with each customer, which is rare.

I would definitely buy again.
