Publishing with Rachel Brain was a very smooth and professional process with help all along the way, from editing to preparation of illustrations. Editor Jason is a very experience, informed and pleasant individual to work with, and his knowledge of publishing, including details book images is excellent. One great advantage of this press it the great reduction of time from submission to editing and publication, possible as much as half or less the time for an academic press. Too, the final product is outstanding. There are also many issues in publishing with a large academic press as opposed to Rachel Brain. For example, one has to make sure that no one on the "board" of the press in question will disagree with your content; censorship is very common. Too, when published the book will normally be hidden in a large catalogue and very modest attention is given to advertising.
