the worst insurance under the sun-

They increased my rate mid-year, and, of course, I had to wait 1 hour on hold to understand why. The first person couldn’t see why it changed, and the second one was so unhelpful that she couldn’t find an answer, so she put me back to start all over again. The third person I am talking to cannot see the changes in the policy... don't use them, find a better insurance.

Costco is really hurting their brand by partnering with this Garbage, I have 7 vehicles and am dealing with them for a year, the worse customer service I ever seen, every broker i speak with, I have to explain the entire situation from a to z simply because everyone help you for a day or two and then dissappear. Some awnser and hang up, sometime they promise a call back and they don't, and it happened that a broker kept pretending unavailable after leaving her many voicemails, and she answered to a different broker and keep saying that she will call, It feels like the company don't have any supervision for their staff, and most importantly don't provide you with cheaper quotes than other brokers, most of the time I found inova is worthless

Absolutely terrible ethics from Inova. I wanted to swap to a new insurance company and get water damage covered and was told Inova was affordable. I mentioned to the representative that I had a previous accident for my car and asked if it would raise the price, naturally it did but the representative lied and said he could make sure it wouldn't raise the price... Only after confirming the swap to Inova from our previous insurance provider did this sleazy scum bag reveal that the insurance quote we were given for monthly and annual payments were not accurate and now we are paying $250 extra dollars a month because of this dishonesty. To top it off they want an additional $530 dollars for less than 24 hours of "service" with these degenerates, of course we had to cancel the day after we were informed... by email, of course, because they couldn't even do us the courtesy of verbally correcting their mistake, a mistake WE are paying for.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I recently switched from a local broker to Inova because they were able to save me 40% on my home insurance premium. When I was inquiring about the policy I mentioned my one concern was not being able to have a broker I can contact directly. She assured my that once I had a policy I would have a broker. I have a travel trailer and for some reason they can't add it at the same time as activating my policy. I have been trying to contact my "broker" for over a week to add the trailer and have received no response. If this is the kind of service you get when you are just trying to add more to your policy, I can't imagine how bad it is if you actually need to make a claim in an emergency. I will be cancelling and going back to my other broker. The piece of mind is worth the extra money to me.

Secondly, the fact that you can't call them and the process to get them to contact you is ridiculous is another deal breaker. It is over a week to book a call back right now. This seems outrageous to me in 2025.

Really upset by the customer service

I am really upset by the customer service.
1. There is no way to pay with the credit card online. You get a paper renewal notice letter, and you need to call and wait on the phone to make a payment in 2025.
2. There is no easy way to communicate. Writing requests on the website is slow, it takes them days to respond.
3. Inova agent abruptly cancelled my existing home insurance when I mentioned that I work from home. I was deemed to be conducting business on premises, which was not covered. I've been working from home for years, and nothing changed since my policy with them started. Suddenly, it was an issue two years later.
4. Another agent failed to explain some basic stuff, like if my pink auto insurance slip says the policy is valid till September 1, I am not actually insured after 12:01 am on September 1.
5. My new policy with another insurer began the next day, say September 2, and I requested to extend my old policy with Inova for one more day. The agent willingly obliged, and singed me up for another year and then immediately cancelled the new policy effective next day, without explaining the implications, making me pay almost $200 for extra 24 hours of being insured.
6. My address updated with Inova was not updated with the insurance company.

It takes a talent to loose a client with multiple policies and thoroughly upset them at every step.

Took 5 weeks to get to speak with…

Took 5 weeks to get to speak with adjuster after a vehicle accident with a deer earlier this year.

Trying to get a vehicle quote added for our son. Waited 1 hr and 48 minutes on hold before I hung up.

I normally don’t post publicly, but after exhausting all other options I feel I need to share my experience with Inova Insurance. They are extremely difficult to get a hold of on the phone with very long wait times, and my experience with how a claim was handled has been a negative one. The customer service I’ve received afterwards has only added to the frustration, with team members including a team lead giving me different answers and the team lead refusing to simply pick up the phone to call me despite multiple attempts and I've now asked to speak to someone else. I even tried leaving feedback privately through their website, but it was never acknowledged and I’m still waiting for a reply or a call. Overall, this has been a very disappointing experience and I hope the company takes these concerns seriously.

INOVA Insurance...worst ever

INOVA Insurance that is based in Ontario requested me to have an electrician from Ontario travel to Alberta to inspect my home wiring even though the work was conducted by a local electrical company and the work was inspected by the city of Edmonton. In addition, they said that they would not insure my home because it was 50 years old. It was very difficult to contact them by phone. Worst experience ever...terrible service...a one rating is too high...

Best service ever

Récemment la compagnie d'assurances pour ma résidence et auto qui etait partenaire des assurance inova/cotsco a decider de cesser d'assurer ses clients et j'etais parmis les clients de Zénith assurance, j'ai été aviser par courriel en décembre et cela indiquais que les dossiers allais etre pris en main et de ne pas m'inquieter.
voila mon premier paiement en janvier avec une augmentation du double du montant que je payais normalement avec l'ancienne compagnie d'assurance.
J'ai contacter Innova et l'agent avec qui j'ai parler Timothee, gentils courtois et comprehensif s'est occuper de trouver une autre compagnie d'assurance qui allais egaler mon ancienne compagnie d'assurance, pendant deux jours il a travailler sur mon dossier et ce soir il ma contacter avec un prix qui a quelques dollars près de mon ancienne polices d'assurance, il a canceller l'assurance existante pour moi et a activer la nouvelle police et ma envoyé tous les documents, sérieusement je n'ai jamais reçus un service a la clientèle comme celui que cet agent ma donner, il merite une médailles, et ma enlevé un poids sur les épaules en s'occupant de tout, jespere que le gestionnaire de innova sais qu'il as un employé exceptionnelle.

Recently the insurance company for my home and car which was a partner of Inova/Cotsco insurance decided to stop insuring its customers and I was among the customers of Zénith insurance, I was notified by email in December and this indicated that the files would be taken care of and not to worry.
Here is my first payment in January with an increase of double the amount I normally paid with the old insurance company.
I contacted Innova and the agent with whom I spoke Timothee, kind, courteous and understanding, took care of finding another insurance company that would match my old insurance company, for two days he worked on my file and this evening he contacted me with a price that was a few dollars close to my old insurance policies, he canceled the existing insurance for me and activated the new policy and sent me all the documents, seriously I don't never received one customer service like the one this agent gave me, he deserves a medal, and took a weight off my shoulders by taking care of everything, I hope the manager of innova knows that he has an exceptional employee.

Was the most amazing representative to assist me in all my needs regarding insurance in regards to finding the right insurance & discovering what was truly best for me in case of accidents and much more I am very thankful for this agent service because she has definitely went near and far to represent Inova insurance. She displayed much patience, and resilience especially from over the 2024 season onward to the 2025 new year.
