Integrity Restoration-The Story of a Con!

I hired Integrity Restoration to restore my home after it suffered water damage. Jennifer Fancher came to my home to assess the damage and determine the effort required to restore it. Initially, I was very pleased. She seemed to know how to perform the abatement and restoration. The activities Integrity Restoration performed included project management. Jennifer also indicated that she was negotiating with my insurance company to provide me with the best settlement. Initially, there were signs that these activities were not being performed in my best interest. During the project, Jennifer told me not to contact my insurance company. She said she would handle the negotiation. She indicated that her contact, Alex, at the insurance company, was the only person advocating for a good settlement for me. She stated numerous times that any intrusion on my part could adversely affect my settlement. Jennifer's other efforts were limited to providing two Integrity Restoration employees for 2 days to demo my kitchen and remove flooring. She also gave me the names of companies that could perform the work. Integrity Restoration did NOT provide any materials, equipment, services, or labor other than 2 days of labor. I have not included Jennifer's negotiation with my insurance company, as she was planning on receiving the entire settlement amount for herself. I contracted with the companies that performed the abatement and restoration. I managed their work. I paid for all materials, equipment, services, and labor for these contractors. I have supporting ,documentation. Jennifer never provided me with any documents or receipts. After requesting a detailed invoice from Integrity Restoration, I received an invoice that was not supported by any documentation, such as receipts. When my claim settlement was approved, Jennifer stated that the amount she was due was the entire amount of my claim settlement. She stated that she negotiated that amount so she should be paid that amount. She was never negotiating in my best interest, only her own. Wow! I stated that I would not give her all of insurance settlement. A final payment was negotiated with Jennifer. I paid her immediately. Subsequently, Jennifer stated that she expected to be paid the remaining amount required so that her payments would total my insurance settlement. Then, blackmail. She threatened me. She said she was going to file a lien on my home. She sent me the paperwork. The lien was fraudulent. It stated that she was due my entire settlement amount for materials, equipment, labor, and services that she never furnished or performed. Subsequently, Jennifer invoiced my insurance company for materials, equipment, labor, and services that she never furnished or performed. State Farm paid without question. State Farm proved to be negligent in managing my claim. But that is for another review. The bottom line is, be careful who you trust with your home and money. Always get references and check reviews. My home is my biggest investment. Don't end up learning this the hard way. I already did that, and it was not fun.
