Poor IP Quality, Encouraged to Buy a Second Proxy, Then Refused a Refund
I had a very disappointing experience with IPSurfer, and I want to share what happened so other customers can make an informed decision before purchasing.
My first order already had quality issues.
I initially purchased a dedicated US static proxy for $7.99. Although its reputation scores looked good on several databases, Pixelscan detected it as a proxy and IPHey reported a location inconsistency warning.
These results did not meet my requirements, which I had clearly explained to support.
After discussing the problem, support investigated and eventually acknowledged that Pixelscan was flagging the IP range. Instead of replacing my original IP, they offered me another Comcast AS7922 IP in New York, claiming they had personally tested it and that it showed excellent results.
I was encouraged to purchase this supposedly better IP through a completely new order for another $7.99.
I trusted their recommendation because they specifically said the new IP had been tested before delivery.
Unfortunately, after purchasing the second IP, I discovered another serious issue.
IPQualityScore reported:
Fraud Score: 68/100
VPN: Yes
Proxy: Yes
I verified these results from my normal internet connection without using any proxy.
Support initially blamed the testing method, suggesting the IP was flagged because I accessed the checker through the proxy. After I explained that my first test was performed from a normal connection, they acknowledged their mistake.
Although other databases showed clean results, the second IP still failed an important part of my quality requirements.
The proposed solutions were extremely disappointing.
Support offered me three choices:
Keep the second IP despite the IPQualityScore warnings.
Accept another IP that they admitted was flagged as an anonymizing VPN by Scamalytics and had inconsistent geolocation.
Use my only replacement opportunity on a randomly assigned IP without knowing whether it would meet my requirements.
None of these options adequately addressed the problem.
I then requested either a suitable replacement or a refund to my IPSurfer account balance so I could purchase another IP.
They refused both the refund and account credit.
What frustrates me most is the entire purchasing experience:
First, I received an IP that did not meet my needs. Then I was encouraged to spend more money on a second IP that was presented as a better, pre-tested option. When that IP also failed an important quality check, I was left without a satisfactory resolution.
I was genuinely interested in building a long-term relationship and purchasing more proxies if the quality was reliable.
Instead, I spent $15.98 on two proxies, neither of which fully met my requirements, and I was unable to obtain a satisfactory solution.
My advice to other buyers:
Be extremely cautious before purchasing from IPSurfer. Ask for written confirmation of exactly which quality checks are performed, whether the actual exit IP can be verified before payment, and whether refunds or replacements are available if the IP does not meet your requirements.
Do not assume that being offered a supposedly better IP means your original purchase will be replaced. In my experience, it meant paying for another order.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend IPSurfer.
