I have bought items from them in the past that had a fault.

On returning them they informed me to get a refund I would have to go through the manufacturer first to get a refund as it was a faulty product.

This is in breach of consumer rights and when you tell them they are in breach of your consumer rights they don't care and deny they are.

Found them to be very disrespectful and they will lie to your face to get out of giving you a refund when they sell you something that is faulty.

I highly recommend people avoid this business as they will take your money but if there's an issue with the products they sell, it's very hard to get your money back without a fight.

Whole point of supporting local businesses is that you accept a slightly higher price in exchange for better customer service, knowledgeable staff, etc.

This premise goes out the window with operations like this one. They sold me a defective product, within 30 day of purchasing I demanded a full refund. I had to fight tooth and nail to have my consumer rights respected.

They wanted to do their 'own test' to validate that the device was faulty. Because, I quote, "a lot of customers buy them and just change their minds and want a refund". Unfortunately, changing your mind within 30 days is your right as a consumer and you cannot subject your customers to running your own test and delay the refund. This is a conversation you need to have with the supplier of your hardware, not the customer.

If they can't provide those things, there is no point on buying from them.

I purchased 3 small appliances and 3 large appliances in one visit. I was given a bashed in box with the microwave and... it was not functioning when I brought it home. Returned it next day and was given floor display model. Situation solved but it is a 1.5 hr round trip to the store.
Next was the delivery of the 3 large appliances. I asked for a certain day but they asked if I could change to another day as the driver would be in my area. I agreed with the very clear information that I ran a bnb and the driver needed to come after 11 am. Driver called on the day at 9am saying he was on the way. I explained I was clear not til after 11. He arrived anyway with lots of drama on the phone with the store etc when he called them. He left appliances in my yard and had to return later to bring them in. The audible calls with the store were astonishing on both sides with language and anger by both.
Appliances delivered but no manuals with washer or dryer. Called store asked to speak to manager and he said Appliances are checked before going out and I must have misplaced them. I disagreed as I had all other paperwork re compliance and warranty but no instructions. He did not offer a solution only said sorry. I requested they send me copies of manuals to my post. He only said sorry for experience. Its now 3 weeks since and no manuals delivered. Appalling customer service!

Everybody I came in contact with From the person on the telephone when I rang to buy a washing machine to the delivery men. I have a Bed & Breakfast and my Washing Machine died a death suddenly and I was in desperate need for a Washing Machine ASAP. Amanda couldn't be more helpful I thought she was fantastic she organised for Graham and Tony to deliver the machine a few hours later and they were a pleasure to deal with. A big Thank you to all.

Hats off to Irwin’s. My elderly mother’s microwave broke and the store manager in Midleton was extremely understanding and helpful in replacing. Great to see some real customer service in today’s world. 5⭐️

Great company to deal with and their customer service are excellent and so warm and friendly. Got our dryer delivered in s timely manner and delivery guys were very helpful. I try and buy most electronics and phone handsets from Irwins too. They are brilliant. 👌💫

I recently bought a Shark cordless vacuum cleaner, ordered online. It arrived less than 48 hours later. Excellent service for online shopping.
