We chose James Agent to sell our property over other more established agents in our area because we felt they offered a fresh perspective, their fees are very reasonable however they don’t compromise on service. Our property sold very quickly despite the atrocious weather and going on the market on Christmas Eve

Adams knowledge of the local area and market is excellent and the whole process was well organised and smooth. Adam went above and beyond and saved our house purchase from falling through due to a difficult situation with a neighbour. He always listened to me and offered reassurance when I was really stressed. Such a professional service and I would recommend them to anyone local looking to sell or to buy! They also provided a great price too. I really cant recommend them highly enough.

From the start Adam was upfront and honest fees were reasonable and the communication was great. He went above and beyond and helped us collect final meter readings which saved us a 3 hour round trip. Would recommend as the only agent to use in the borders.

James Agent are a new type of estate agents, head and shoulders above the tired and complacent old high street agent/solicitors that are the norm in Scotland. Donald was very professional, friendly, and efficient. Add to that their use of modern technology means they can be contacted outside office hours, and the seller can use an app which lists viewings and delivers feedback. The fees are lower too! We sold our house within days, and were kept informed every step of the way.
We have moved house many times, and without doubt James Agent are the best we have encountered.

We were both delighted with the service we received from Donald. He was always helpful and provided a first class service during the sale of our house. Always on hand with advice and assistance, nothing was too much trouble. We'd have no hesitation in recommending.

I would also highly recommend James Agent. Not only was the pricing clear and competitive (the one-off fee was a refreshing change from the commissions and complicated add-ons the other agents offered) but right from the start, Donald provided a friendly, informed and professional service. Nothing was too much trouble for Donald whose enthusiasm, approachability and knowledge made the process much easier than it could have been. As a result of his help and guidance we received an excellent offer within days of the house being listed. Donald kept us fully informed throughout the sale and continued to keep in touch between offer and completion with regular updates and invaluable advice and reassurances. Adam recently helped us sell our house in Newtongrange. From the outset he was great. Bang on with his valuation of the property, something Purple Bricks were miles away from. I think he’s got a surveyor background which is really helpful when it comes to getting a realistic and accurate valuation. The whole package and one off fee is really attractive. We had been quoted over £2k more from other agencies for less services. The photos and description were excellent quality. Also the legal company he set us up with for the conveyancing we’re excellent. The sale was quite tricky due to the timings but he kept at it and after 6 weeks of being messed around and an offer being withdrawn 2 weeks into a 4 week move in date we eventually secured an excellent offer. I’d highly recommend Adam and his team if you’re selling your property. Great service at a very good price. Thanks again Adam and all the best. Craig & Sarah.

From the initial consultation, where Adam spent a long time looking around the house, making suggestions and giving us an accurate valuation (Adam is a qualified surveyor) to the prompt closing date and sale. Adam is very knowledgeable in this area and was always available to answer questions. One of the huge advantages is that Adam is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so anyone wanting to view can call and make an appointment at short notice: especially useful on a weekend.
