Bad Patch Job from Factory Hidden

After purchasing a new Jayco camper, we discovered within months that a defect from the factory had
been covered up. A hole had been punched completely through the wall of the camper and patched.
This was on the back of the camper and after a few months of use, the patch job from the factory
failed and started cracking. We expected this to be covered by Jayco. After 2 years of fighting to get
the warranty work covered, Jayco has decided they will pay for a cheap patch job, like the one that
has ready failed, instead of the fix recommended by the dealer and the body shop. The cheap patch
job is estimated to cost $1,500.00 with NO warranty. The recommended fix is estimated at $3,500.00.
We did not purchase a used trailer. This defect was not disclosed to us at the time of purchase, it was
hidden. We were sold on Jayco's "great warranty" and feel as though we were scammed. We now
have a 3 year old $30,000.00+ trailer with its second patch job and no warranty.

Jayco refuses to honor warranty

I own several of their units. I recently purchased 2 new units. 1 of them had roughly 10k worth of water damage between the wall. Jayco refuses to fix the issue under warranty. Why would you treat your customers like this????

This is for the Jayco website SPAM warning

This is for the Jayco website: SPAM city! I had to give my email to get an owners manual for my RV. Suddenly I'm getting Camping World crap, trying to sell me a freaking RV. I tell them to lay off only to find they've spend my email far and wide, subscribing me to like 5 other places. Horrible violation of trust. Now I don't trust either company.

A warranty isnt any good if they dont honor it

Was informed that the decking between the rafters and rubber roof my 2022 Jayco 264bh bought in 2024 is not considered part of the structure. It is bulging under the rubber roof and
an obvious manufacturing mistake ... Someone in the plant forgot to put the screws that mount the decking to the rafters before completing the roof assembly...
I just want Jayco to honor their own warranty

horrible company

Josh, the owner, is one of the most unprofessional and immature adults I’ve ever met. He never once managed the job of building a pond and a road for me which he was hired to do. Left me holding a bill for his fuel and material orders that he ordered. I asked for a 10 foot wide Gravel Road ended up being 16 foot wide, which cost me twice as much money in material. RUN, don’t walk away from this guy in this company. absolutely horrible experience.

I bought a 2022 Jayco Super Lite new

I bought a 2022 Jayco Super Lite new. After about two years, I discovered severe water damage caused by failed seals above both rear windows. Blue Compass’s tech had to remove the underbelly and dump gallons of water to locate the leak.

I filed a warranty claim. Jayco gave me a written denial, citing that the unit was “outside warranty” and calling it non-structural. However, the nature of the failure is clearly not routine maintenance — it required invasive diagnostics to even see it.

I requested escalation and full documentation, but was told customers can’t be CC’d in the manufacturer’s portal. Meanwhile, the dealer has offered a “discounted repair” that I should pay for myself.

This looks like a premature structural defect, not normal wear. I am pursuing this further with the Utah Division of Consumer Protection, the Better Business Bureau, and other avenues.

Pros: Attractive design, lots of features.
Cons: If Jayco won’t back you when something clearly fails early, that’s a big risk.

Animal cruelty

Employees threw live cats in a dumpster and crushed them to death and got away shot free. All I need to know about this company.

A few weeks ago we bought a Jayco 334RTS from camping world as I was told their service department is not the greatest for support, I was at ease when they had a Jayco representative from the factory at their location and gave me his direct card for any issues we may encounter. Well we had a slight issue and we called Nate directly and even though he was on vacation out of state he handled everything and had someone looking at my camper within the hour. And followed up with me with in the next 30 minutes to make sure problem was solved. So shout out to Nate from Jayco for his dedication and also Ben from Charlie Obaugh RV Dealer.

Three Jayco RV

Three Jayco RV
manufacturing employees have been charged
with Animal Cruelty after they admitted to putting
two live cats into microwave boxes, taping them
shut, and placing them in a trash compactor at
the 903 S Main St.The three men, 29-year-old
Travis McKay, 31-year-old Arlin J. Hochstetler,
and 44-year-old John H. Lipscomb, admitted to
police that they have been having a problem with
stray cats and that they were trying to fix the
problem.
"McKay stated the animal shelters were full, and
he thought he could 'take care' of the situation,"
Middlebury police said.McKay stated Lipscomb
placed the two cats into boxes and then McKay
and Hochstetler placed the cats into the trash
compactor."This was not the first interaction the
male suspects have had with stray cats on the
property"Lipscomb advised one cat got its claw
stuck in a cage, so he cut the toe off, MDP said.
"Lipscomb advised both cats were alive when he
and other employees, whom he identified as
McKay and Hochstetler, placed the cats into the
compactor."
These people are f**king sociopaths.

2024-2025 Jayco Experience

If I could give my Jayco experience zero stars, I absolutely would. What began as an exciting purchase for my wife and me has turned into one headache after another with our 5th wheel Jayco Eagle 321 RSTS. As an active duty service member, I was hoping for a reliable RV to help transition smoothly between duty stations. Instead, we’ve faced nothing but frustration and disappointment.

From day one, issues began piling up. The battery provided at purchase was a "showroom" battery that failed within two weeks, leaking sulfur fumes throughout our camper. Then the kitchen’s plumbing, made of cheap ABS piping, cracked—soaking the entire cabinet space beneath the sink. Within six months, the Everchill refrigerator gave out, taking two additional months to replace. As if that weren’t enough, a leak in the underbelly of the RV remains unresolved to this day. And now, I’ve discovered another crack—this time in the ABS piping under our bathroom tub.

Jayco’s response has been even more disappointing. Their customer service deflects responsibility by blaming "vendors" for the faulty components. Yet Jayco chose those vendors and installed those parts. It’s unacceptable to pass the buck after marketing these units as being ready for “full-time RVing.” For the record, a sticker on our RV claims it’s covered for full-time use. But when I questioned this, I was told “full-time” meant vacationing—not living. If someone can explain what “full-time vacationing” actually means, I’d love to hear it—because after all this, I desperately need one.

Jayco has fallen short in quality, service, and integrity. I urge prospective buyers to steer clear. Choose a manufacturer that builds with care and stands behind its products. We deserved better—and so do you.

Did Jayco fire the employees that put a…

Did Jaycovfire the employees that put a cat in a lunch box then threw it in grinder because they lacked the common sense and courtesy to leave cat alone or call SPCA ?if they did not fire them and make a public press conference I would not buy a RV from someone that lacks common sense and thinks animal cruelty is ok, if they thought that was funny what else do they think is funny working on a humans RV ? Clearly they hired some that have no concern or respect for life or safety. Fire them them throw them in jail for animal cruelty was it one cat or two? Was it 3 employees? Fire the bystanders that allowed it by watching. 💭🤔🗯️😿😾😿😾😿😾🙀🗯️

They think it's ok to kill animals

This company's VP condones animal cruelty. Three employees put two cats in a trash compactor and their VP says "the men acted in the company's best interest" by placing the live cats into the trash compactor.

Description of complaint:

Description of complaint:
Worst customer service ever! Bought a brand new camper and have had nothing but issues with the electrical system. Lost all lights, brakes and power to the travel trailer while going through the mountains of Tennessee in a storm! My family could have lost their life! We cannot use the $1k camera system because of the electrical issues. Finally found 2 corroded breakers (on a brand new camper!!) and Jayco will not warranty because its corrosion and against
their warranty even though its brand new! They acted like they were doing us a favor for warranting our countertops that are separating from the wall of the camper! Our new camper is sitting at Camping World right now and has been there since the beginning of April because it's needed a new battery, corroded breakers fixed (at my expense), new door, countertops fixed and now the entire electrical system re-wired because they found wires touching and it almost caught fire! Never will I buy anything Jayco again and I hope this helps people from buying from Jayco.

Jayco Junk

Bought a brand new 2023 Jayco Flight, April 2024, they were trying to move the last of the 2023's out and got a great deal! Now I see why. Used the first time in July 2024, trying to set up and the stabilizer jack was broken. Called Jayco and the response from customer service was to take it to your dealer to have fixed. Ok we are 7 hours away from our local dealer. Anyways my husband and I went a bought a ton of stuff so we could set up our camper. From the leaky shower, water running out in the floor, the fridge not working properly and the bunk beds... Whose idea was that? The kids can barely get on the top bunk and the attached ladder that's always in the way. This was a horrible idea. Came home from vacation and the dealer had our camper over 6 months because they couldn't get the parts in to fix. And still not fixed. There should be a lemon law on campers where they should have to replace the camper of our choice to get rid of this Jayco junk! Never will buy Jayco again.

Jayco is low quality poor warranty

Buyer beware bought a 2024 jayco 184 bsw baja. Wow so they say it sleeps 6 it doesn't my 9year only can't even straighten out on the bed. The floor was uneven tin is loose and ac filter can hardly be remove because it comes out against the cupboard. "It's by design is what I get from them. First camping trip water fill hose came right out of the wall and tub tap sprayed out the side. Water tank not strapped down. Even had to fight to get emergencies window fixed that would not open. But this is normal according to jayco. So if you want crap a d to fight about warranty buy one.

BUYER BEWARE

BUYER BEWARE! Jayco customer care is non-existent. Purchased 2022 264BH Jay Flight SLX new and one month after my 2-year warranty expired noticed front wall was soft. Took unit to I-70 RV Center (Jayco Dealer) where purchased and staff there could not figure out where water was getting in. Warranty claim was submitted as all parties agreed that water had been getting in undetected well before the warranty had expired. Also, since this appeared to be a possible structural issue there was potential for this to be covered under the 3-year structural warranty. Dealer offered estimate of $4300 to tear down unit to figure out where water was getting in as part of the claim process. Warranty DECLINED and after escalating to further make case of defective manufacturing issue again case was declined with not offer of resolution. All seams were looked at by myself and technical staff at dealer and no issue was found, however after sending requested photos to claim agent they picked apart photos and indicated the seals should have been all redone every 6 months per owner’s manual. Jayco stance is that regardless if the seals show no voids, cracking or separation I am to re-caulk the entire unit every 6 months. I took good care and inspected unit regularly, parked under canopy most of the time and saw no evidence requiring redoing any seals. Also, the large Jayco front decal peeled off the first year we had the unit. It is apparent that Jayco uses inferior construction products to cheapen the build and then hides behind clauses carefully crafted in their manual to get out of standing behind their product. Do not waste your hard-earned dollars on an inferior product. Research whom owns Jayco as issues maybe wide spread with sister companies.

Absolute garbage, stay away

Absolute garbage. poorly designed, poorly built, zero quality control, terrible support. I bought an Entegra Launch by Jayco in June. It is now November and I have been unable to use the vehicle a single time. I have experienced one problem after the next. I have not only had to cancel multiple trips, but have also shelled out over $1000 to insure a piece of crap that I cannot use. I waited 3 months for replacement parts for a defective air conditioner that never worked and a problem with a battery connector of which Jayco was fully aware, but did not fix. When I finally thought that everything was finally fixed (except for glue failing on the trim), I tried the awning for the first time. Now the awning will not fully retract, making the vehicle undrivable. I am 60 miles from the nearest dealer. I don't know what to do. I truly regret buying this piece of sh*t. I'm an idiot.
