The forgotten ladies only section....
I've come back to JDs after being at a ladies only Gym for some time..We heard of a big revamp to the Gym, and that the Ladies Only section was having a Smiths machine and squat rack...really disappointed that this isn't isn't case- they've changed flooring and taken 1 treadmill out only?! I understand it's not a womens only Gym and appreciate that but when you look at the stark difference in the rest of the gym- it's dissapointing the ladies only section always gets left out with old machines and no dumbells surpassing 10kg! Really think JD Batley could have done better here! We've got tatty machines and mats and it's so cramped now that it's difficult during busy periods! Come on jds sort this out for us!!!

More clarity on layout or more staff
I think it’d be helpful if there was more members of staff there or even just a map of what’s where in the gym.
As a new starter I didn’t know where anything was and had to awkwardly approach someone on the gym floor just to find out the changing rooms were upstairs..! I still don’t know where to go for classes.

You can book an induction by asking a member of staff in club or by emailing batley@jdyms.co.uk this would be a great way to get used to the gym lay out and equipment.

All the equipment is modern
All the equipment is modern. The gym is huge and spaced out enough. All machines have easy user instructions on. Music is really enjoyable and all members polite and mindful of usage time on equipment. Everything is put back after use which is a change. All in all a great gym with lovely facilities

Been a member of this gym on 3 weeks…
Been a member of this gym on 3 weeks and they decide to get rid of all classes, the only reason why i joined. No communication to customers and i have had to have been told by a class instructor. May i also add this poor self employed instructor was only given 1 weeks notice of all her classes being cancelled, yet if i want to cancel my membership its a months notice!!! Disgusting behaviour.

Average gym experience
Average gym experience. I have trained at JD gyms for over 2 years now before that I trained at another gym for a few years. JD gyms has no real faults apart from broken equipment. They take a long time to fix or replace broken equipment.

Initially everything was fine
Initially everything was fine . I visited the gym and enjoyed it but then . I received an email saying id cancelled my direct debit which i hadn't neither had my bank . My app to enter the gym stopped working and when I emailed i was told it would take 14 days to review. Ive had no clarification to say i can use the gym even though ive paid so im stuck in limbo . Poor service overall 😩
