JD Gym Batley, teething issues?
I signed up due to an offer that was on social media, which was not apparently available and so paid full price. I went to my first class only to find it was cancelled, having gone out straight after work in the pouring rain, plus parking is quite tight.

The male changing room door locks are…
The male changing room door locks are broken, the squat racks are damaged. The lat pull down machines and cable machine pins are not connected to the machines and missing on other machines.

Although it's a very big gym but no reception no one there to help you or guide you how to use gym. Nothing organised. Weights are all over the place. Only best thing is it's open 24 7 . And alot of opportunity to work .

Nice Gym, good facilities. Lots of equipment, so never waiting to get on stuff. Good locker room facilities. Nice mix of people.

I cancelled my membership but still …
I cancelled my membership and then later received an email that I shouldn’t cancel the direct debit as it can cause problems in cancelling so I didn’t. I ThEn see after a month they cut £22 out again even tho it was cancelled ! Rubbish service

Hello, Keeping our changing rooms clean is a top priority and they need to be checked regularly in order to keep on top of tasks.
Where possible a male cleaner will check the male changing rooms and vice versa, but there will be occasions where our male cleaner is not on shift, so a female cleaner will cover for them. This does also happen the other way around from time to time.
They will announce themselves before entering or get another member of staff to enter ahead of them to make members aware.

Modern gym with plenty of equipment
It was very simple to join online for my daughter and I. Our first visit we were greeted by a friendly young girl and she showed us around all areas of the gym including the female showers and sauna. She advised us on busy and quiet times and told us to ask about any equipment we weren't familiar with. There was another member of staff seen cleaning around the stations. We used the various cardio and resistance equipment and will be using the sauna on our next visit. It was a very good experience.

Like the ladies only section as well as the scan on entry. Quick an easy to access. The fact it is open 24/7 means I can fit in sessions at the gym between endless meetings
