JD Gym Bolton is absolutely terrible
JD Gym Bolton is absolutely terrible. There is very little equipment, the place is not cleaned properly, and many of the mirrors are broken. Overall, this gym is in poor condition and not worth the membership at all

We do understand how frustrating it can be when the gym is very busy and equipment is out of order. Our gyms are very popular, especially at peak times, but this can fluctuate throughout the day.
In terms of equipment, our teams carry out regular maintenance checks and work with engineers to get any faults resolved as quickly as possible, but we appreciate how disruptive it can be while items are unavailable.
Thanks again for your honest feedback – it really helps us continue to improve the experience for all our members 💪

Jd Gyms stay clear
They reply after reading the review although managed to speak to a manager and email was already sent to them however received a message saying they cannot do anything . I had used the iPad at the gym to put my plate number in but they have just passed the buck . Useless reply as obviously the review not read properly nor have they looked at anything . The company and the parking company are all in it together . Useless also the parking company without sending me a reply to my message to them sent it to debt collectors . I have paid the fine however will make sure I never use the Gym again . After escalation I have had a call from the area manager whom also was totally unhelpful just passing the buck to the Carpark owners . A resolution would have been simple but these companies not interested.

The car parks at many of our gyms are managed by third‑party companies, which does mean we have limited control over fines and the processes they follow. However, we’re sorry that this hasn’t been clearly communicated or that you feel your concerns haven’t been properly looked into.

Place is good
Place is good. But no staff to help us out for work out or how to use equipment. I show couple of trainers but they only busy flattering with girls who’s work out on tradmill. 👏👏👏👏👏

For my first time I am quite…disappointed
For my first time I am quite disappointed has there isn’t machine for glutes very disappointing , there is just one we’re you will have o use a barbell but that’s quite very uncomfortable
I really wish there was more glutes machine at lest 2 of it but has a fist time I just didn’t like the fact JD has none I come from a Puregym and the gym group and most of them have
I really wish this could be sorted has soon has possible has I don’t want to always have to use the barbells all the time I train glutes but use the machine instead

Barrier issue and poor ventilation
To start with, the scanning barrier at the entrance is very difficult to use and very frustrating. Please can it be made easier for the users of the facility. Another major issue in the building is poor ventilation. I've been sick ever since i went their and never gone back since. I'm thinking of asking for my money back to be honest. Please improve these things if you really care about your customers.

I like the vast number of machines…
I like the vast number of machines available even from the same type which means that even during busy hours, I could have the chance to continue my workout without interruption as there are alternatives to what I could train.

Could be good
I have recently been attending JD gym Bolton and I am cancelling the membership already. I have attended a couple of combat classes the Tue and Thur Eves ones were ok not new Les mills releases like advertised went back the next week to be told classes on Tue have now been cancelled! I had been to the Monday and thur morning ones which are very intense my kind of thing but I have an early lunch from work to attend these classes and they are only around 35mins long not 45 mins and that is with a cool down. Religion I am far from a racist but I do not understand how in the evening around 5.15-5.30 there are men in corners of the gym upstairs downstairs or going in to the spin room taking over to pray this is not a place of worship it is a gym seriously it is very inappropriate and quite intimidating and should not be allowed they should do it on the changing rooms or there cars before going into the gym area. Crocs how are people allowed to train in these surly health and safety should not allow this. This could be a good gym but seems too busy at peak times certain members of staff are unfriendly and just sit ant the front looking round never interact with the members. Thanks for your time
