Make JD GYM (Bradford.) Great again!
It's been a long time since I've been a member at this gym.
Have to say unfortunately it seems like its gone downhill.
Most importantly, Why is there now only 3 squat racks in such a busy gym? There was 7 places to squat before. One of the more popular exercises and probably the best and now there's only three places to do it from.
There doesn't seem to be as many weight plates in the gym as there was before. Same with barbells. Finding weight collars is like playing Where's Wally.
A lot of stuff seems to be out of order.
Even before you walk in one of the doors is broken.
The bags for boxing are too soft and should be replaced with better ones. Even try adding aqua bags, double end bags and a better section for boxing as quite a lot of people who come to the gym can box.
I think this gym needs a big refurb and focus on placing equipment in better places.
A separate section for powerlifting with squat racks deadlift platforms and bench should be made. Also consider adding a section for calisthenics with better places to do weighted pullups and Dips.
There should be at least five squat racks with Deadlift platforms incase some people want to do Deadlifts.
Only writing this review because I'm bored and would love to see this gym become better again instead of pretty crappy like it is now.
It's a very busy gym and seems like it's been neglected. Not much care into it as opposed to it's first and second year it was open.

I joined this gym because it was open 24 hours i understand that you close the sauna and showers at night but how do you expect grown adults to workout with no access to any toilets at night time this is not good enough.

Hello! Thanks for leaving us some feedback, we appreciate it.
We are a 24-hour gym in Bradford, but due to there being less staff on duty throughout the night, areas which are not covered by CCTV are closed t for the safety of our members (i.e. the main changing rooms and saunas).
We do however leave the accessible changing room open at all times, as well as there being lockers for you to use. If you need to get changed or grab a shower during the night, that option is there for you and you'll have complete privacy in there.

JD Bradford
Going to JD Gym in Bradford for 3 years now and Spin room was never in this condition before. Half bikes are always with dead battery and you never know on which level you are. Half bikes are broken (seats are not holding in position and same with the wheel), some pedals don’t have leashes. Coaches are really good but they are losing people just because management don’t care about the equipment quality. Very disappointing.

Thanks for leaving us some feedback.
Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. If you have any concerns about equipment, please notify staff on site as soon as you can.
With regards to cleaning, we do have our team going around the gym keeping on top of cleaning regularly, but if you think there is something they've missed please do feel free to email the Manager on bradford@jdgyms.co.uk

Liked But Cleanliness isn't there
Liked: Gym is huge, all equipments are there.
Disliked: Cleanliness is an issue, bathrooms are stinky. I was bleeding from my finger and some drops of blood had fell on the treadmill, I asked a personal trainer to send someone to wipe the blood but no one came.

Value for money has decreased over…
Value for money has decreased over time. As the number of people attending has increased significantly, the gym has become very crowded and waiting times are significant. The open area that used to exist has been taken over with more machines, so there are no monkey bars or an area to do exercises that need more space. Can I suggest that an open area is created? I also notice that the Unit next door is vacant - would this be a good opportunity to expand? - And try and give the existing members a better experience rather than continue to keep cramming everyone in like sardines?! People will start leaving if the experience continues to degrade, which it is.

Impressed with high standards of a member of staff
A lot of small tasks to do for 1 member of staff on work rota during busy periods around 7pm to 8pm. Observed that this staff member has high standards every time I have visited. Could be given training to develop leadership and management role. Succession planning.
