Really disappointed with the facilities standards…
Really disappointed with the standards at JD Gyms Enfield recently; it does have a great variety of equipment.
In warm weather, the gym is unbearable: the air conditioning upstairs barely works (it only seems to be on downstairs), and the drinking taps dispense warm water, which is a major health and safety issue when training hard. On top of that, locker management is non-existent—people leave their personal belongings inside unlocked lockers for days at a time, making it nearly impossible to find an open one.
Management urgently needs to step in, fix the AC/water coolers, and enforce basic gym rules.

We also appreciate your feedback regarding peak-time busyness. Our gyms can become particularly busy at certain times of the day, but this does fluctuate throughout the week.

Great gym with friendly, helpful staff!
I joined when the gym opened in November 2025 and have been really happy with it overall.
The equipment is cleaned daily, and the gym is generally very clean. The only exception is during out-of-hours periods, but I think this is more down to some members leaving empty bottles, tissues, etc. around rather than the gym itself.
I love having the sauna — it would just be great if it could operate a little earlier on weekends.
One thing that would make a big difference is the air conditioning. It would be ideal if it could be kept on throughout the day and at night, rather than only being switched on from 5am. Doing a high-intensity workout, especially on the StairMaster, can get very hot without proper air conditioning.
It would also be great to have more classes available, as I think a wider variety and more frequent classes would add even more value to the gym.
As for the music, it would be nice to have a bit more variety. The atmosphere on weekends around 5pm is great when they play reggaeton, so more Bad Bunny please! :)
Overall, though, a great gym with a really friendly and helpful team.

Quick entry and join
Quick entry and join, lots of machines to choose from. Not enough classes that focus on glutes lower body etc. Also a chest press machine would be very helpful. Very clean and staff are friendly, need a few more gym mats as during peak hours working out on the floor is not comfortable nor that safe.

JD Gyms Enfield has a great variety of machines to choose from with a great monthly price. A rarity these days when it comes to many gyms out there. The staff are really friendly, always ready to help. I do feel at ease when in the gym. Only a few criticisms I have which are, it can get quite busy, a suggestion (which has been mentioned and positively taken onboard) would be to add a body count of how many people are in the gym to have a rough idea of when the gym is busy/quiet. Another would be it does tend to get quite humid, air-con is available but if it could be turned up a little more to avoid overheating, especially during peak hours. Otherwise, a great gym, would recommend to all.

The overall gym is Good
The overall gym is Good, equipment well maintained and cleaning is ongoing throughout the week. The cleaners are also reliable in the upkeep of the facility..
The only negative l have is the Sauna, due to inconsiderate people using it fully clothed/with trainers on ect, it's left dirty with foot prints all over the seats so I feel staff should make more effort in patrolling the sauna area .
overall I would recommend the gym
