I have been coming to jd gym transit way for a year
I have been coming to jd gym transit way for a year now, i have seen staff come and go. A few good staff have left and there have been some great staff replacing them. Abbie, Ross and Ollie are a great asset to jd gyms, they are friendly, always polite and nothing is to much trouble for them. They are constantly on the go, cleaning and putting equipment away in the correct places, if i needed their help or assistance, i can confidently go to any of them and they will help me with any issue i have. They all make my gym experience pleasurable, nothing is to much trouble for them. Some of your staff could learn a thing or two from them. Wish the air con could be fixed, that is my only issue with the gym, your equipment is great

Very bad gym
Very bad gym . Air con none existent to many kids , I saw a staff member chasing and giggling a with a member of public around by the deadlift area, didn't think this looked very professional, never actually see many of the staff doing much apart talking to each other or talking to very young girls , the amount rubbish left on or round the machines cans ,wet wipes,bottles, I saw the same can and wet wipes in the cup holder over 2weeks, you really need to teach your cleaners and some staff how to do the job

Duty Manager Abby
Abby the duty manager at transit way is the best manager I've ever seen at this gym , she is very helpful and knowledgeable,and very approachable ,always willing to help out , personally I think she needs more recognition for the work she does there, it's a shame some of the other staff ain't like her, would be a better place, ,as for the gym equipment it's very good everything I need for my workouts,

I’ve been using JD Plymouth since it…
I’ve been using JD Plymouth since it opened, in conjunction with Bodyworld. Both have a good range of equipment and I like the choice they offer. However, I’ve recently stopped going to JD during the recent hot weather as they appear to have stopped using the aircon. It’s always been weak but there used to be some airflow. Lately, there’s been no air coming from the vents at all which makes workouts absolutely draining and almost unbearable. Bodyworld is fully air conditioned and provides a completely different experience. This is the only aspect that lets JD down but it’s an important one. I’m not sure why JD would stop the air flow now seeing as it’s been so hot.

Cold showers, broken equipment and toilets.
Been using the Plymouth branch since it opened, up until recently it's been fairly decent.
Over the recent hottest periods they have decided to shut the hot water off to save money I'm assuming, meaning lot of unhappy people in the changing rooms having to have cold showers which I can assure you after a sweaty session is no fun. One of the toilet stall locks has been broken for months and is still not working properly. And currently 2 highly used pieces of equipment are currently broken and have been for several weeks, when equipment breaks it takes forever for them to be fixed. I am considering joining another gym, I can deal with the odd broken piece of equipment but cold showers .. nah screw that.

Air conditioning is non existent and is getting worse each week as the heat gets worse although sometimes it feels cooler outside! Quality gym with high standard facilities, just workouts getting more and more uncomfortable with the heat. Staff say ac can be used but simply doesn't get turned up enough?

Awful gym - unhygienic
Awful gym. No hand soap in the male toilets for 3 weeks now….how hard is it to go Tesco (next door) and just buy some? Also no air con? Management are a bunch of monkeys

Love the gym
Love the gym, plenty of equipment/machines available. My pt sessions with steve lavis are amazing and we do not have to wait around to use anything. Steve knows to push me as I can be less enthusiastic at times but he is also a unique pt because not only has he learned how to help people with weight loss he has also learned how to help people gain weight, strengthen and condition/tone up. Steve has ensured he has done his research well as i need help putting on weight and toning up but it also comes with personal challenges. Steve isn't scared to take on this challenge and understands life can get in the way so he works with you not against you

I booked Steve Lavis as my PT
I have booked the services of their PT Steve Lavis, and have been at this gym now about 4 months. Steve pushes me to do my best, and also advises on diet and is helping me achieve my goal of being strong during the menopause.
The equipment is up to date and they also have a range of free weights, a studio and a floor area.
I usually go in the afternoons, so nice and quiet too.

I’ve been going to JD for a while now…
I’ve been going to JD for a while now on and off but always found parts of the gym intimidating!
I’ve had Steve as my trainer for the last month and now I’m confident enough to go in and use all the equipment on my own and speak to other members of the gym!
I’ve had Steve as my trainer for 4 weeks and can already feel my progress.
He’s patient and explains things so they’re easy to understand.
