There's the old adage that you get what you pay for and certainly the graft, care and attitude of the Johnsons removal teams is worth very penny and more. From the quotation stage, Johnsons were really flexible, and despite having to change our dates 3 times due to the inevitable solicitor glitches, they stayed with us and made available our preferred moving dates. On the day, the guys were early, worked through the logistics of the packing (varying, from the kitchen contents to the garden shed and garage) and set to work. Special shout out to Kyle, Paul Robby and Steve who worked their socks off, asked intelligent questions all the time about items being packed and where their final place would be in our new house, and despite all the grunt work were upbeat, friendly and courteous. We felt a bit useless, sitting in the garden with the dog, but it just shows how stress free it was for us. We met the guys the following day at our new apartment in the Peaks, which had a stone spiral staircase. The team took it in their stride, undaunted by the challenge and had us fully unpacked in 7 hours. A great experience throughout, you cannot find better.

Arranging and organising the move was made easy with guidance and prompts to keep leading up to the moving day. A high level of customer service from Viv in an amicably professional way.
The team on the move day were quick to scope the task and get organised and worked quickly with care, checking with me as they went along. it was a long day but they were friendly, smiley and professonal all day and prepared to go the extra mile.

An excellent removals service, from start to finish. The moving team were polite, hardworking and respectful of our property. Nothing was too much trouble for them on the day - and Viv, coordinating preparations in the office, couldn’t have been more helpful. Thoroughly recommended.

Was surprised with Johnson’s removals, we got 3 quotes & they were the cheapest. Fantastic at there jobs, from viv in the office (sorry for giving her a headache) because the moving date kept changing to the lads who moved us. Very professional & made the move run smooth for us, they were very accommodating & calm.

From the moment we reached out for a quote the service was exemplary. Viv on the customer service desk was amazing at answering any queries and the men that came to pack and move us were superb. Helpful, friendly and super efficient. Could not recommend them enough.

We found Johnsons extremely professional, and intend to use them again when we move from our temporary address. The office personnel were very helpful and well-informed. On the day, the men took care with our home and belongings, and similarly on arrival at our new address.

We also found it very helpful that the company were prepared to unplumb and plumb in our appliances, which most companies will not do.

They were also very competitive price-wise. Boxes, wrapping paper and tape were all included in the price.

I cannot praise Johnson's enough for every aspect of my removal from Cheshire to Lancashire. From the moment of first contact through to completion the firm lived up to its core values of integrity and trust. The highest score must go to the high levels of communication involved. In the sale, purchase and removal process I have found nothing matters more than communication and in this the firm excelled. I single out Viv Sime most of all in this regard for her swiftness of response, empathy and flexibility in finding ways forward. Thank you Johnson's and in particular thank you Viv!

We had to move most of our furniture and belongings out of our house and into a storage container on site.
We had done some packing but Johnson’s did a lot more as well.
The Johnson’s team were very organised efficient and helpful, from first contact in the office to those who were on site.
They were really helpful in moving or leaving some things we still needed in the house and then moving the rest into the container. Their packing of the container was brilliant with little room to spare.
They were all very pleasant and all worked really hard to get everything completed in one day.
We have used Johnsons before and they once again maintained their high standards of service.

Great communication and felt they were in control at all times. The three gentlemen who moved our gear were very professional and kept us informed as well as accommodating certain wishes. They worked really hard, on what was a difficult couple of days for us. Very prompt with arrival times.

We moved from a 3 storey house (+loft) and had packed over 100 boxes. Johnson’s team loaded all this over 2 days, including dismantling a bed and table that I had left. They then unloaded all this within 2 hours, having called up 5/6 additional members for support. They were all good humoured and made a stressful day bearable.

I chose Johnsons for 2 main reasons. 1, they were the only removal companies who came to my house to do a proper survey and 2. they offered a good package -cost & T&C. Not the cheapest I was quoted but I felt reassured by their approach. Although there was a glitch on the morning of the move, Johnsons did everything to make everything right and my furniture was loaded and unloaded in a calm, professional, and timely manner. The removal coordinator I was in contact with, Viv, could not have been more helpful. I am very happy with the service I received.

All done very efficiently, with great care and endless cheerfulness

Nothing but 5 stars for Johnsons – especially Jake and Steve on the day. Their idea of a phased move was a total lifesaver. Instead of being swamped with boxes in every room (or stacking them in the garage for weeks), everything was spaced out over 6 weeks before and 2 weeks after move day. The Storple trailer was something I’d never even heard of before, but honestly game-changing.
By the time moving day came, it was just a small van with beds (for us and the dogs) and a few essentials. Even with the keys running late, there wasn’t a single bit of stress. Jake and Steve were patient, helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. Even offering to go back to the depot and bringing another container out so we could start unpacking over the weekend. I never thought I’d say it, but moving day ended up being one of the least stressful days I’ve ever had. Sincerely thank you to not only Jake and Steve but Jason and Viv.

We would definitely recommend Johnsons removals. They were so helpful extremely organised and careful with all of our belongings.

Johnsons recently moved us from our home of 20+ years into storage, whilst we complete on our next home. The team were easy to communicate with and kept me updated leading up to our moving out date. Great service from start to finish. Firstly (unlike many removal firms) they came out to complete a personal quote. Very reasonable price and great communications throughout. On the day of my move the team turned up on schedule and did a fantastic job. Despite me only getting the keys to my new property mid afternoon (the team had been waiting a long time to complete the move) they finished the job in super time and were a great bunch of guys. Highly recommended and would use again.
