Very poor services

Very poor services.
They have counterfeit products and wouldn't take them back. Products are very expensive yet of poor quality, not worth my money at all. Definitely never spending there again

POOR RETURN POLICY FOR ELECTRONICS

I have always bought items from jumia for the longest time, untill recently bought a Watch which never met my expectations, I requested a return immediately at the pick up point and left the item their only to get feedback after a week that my return request was declined since once an item is opened cannot be accepted for return, how can you crossexamine an item without opening?
This is the LAST time am shopping from Jumia,
I HIGHLY discourage anyone from using the site especially electronics in case you want to return an item be assured utalilia chooni.

Terrible service

Terrible service. Was mis-sold something and had no recourse. The seller was permanently unavailable and customer service no help either. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM JUMIA - CONMEN AND THIEVES

Jumia online shop with mostly unskilled fraudsters...

I ordered dessini dishes in the last 10 days, unfortunately jumia always confirms the order and cancels it after 3 days. Although the fraudulent seller presented himself as having 9 units left. Fortunately, I did not pay in advance, they offered payment upon delivery. Why do they cheat customers in this way?...they are probably trying to get money out of them and then argue about a refund...I have had bad experiences with jumia in previous years, in my opinion they are partly unqualified scammers. I will never buy anything from them again....,

I bought a phone then 5 days later it…

I bought a phone then 5 days later it went off called customer care and they took me around with no proper answers juat telling me they will call me and share vendor details. Finally they pulled a no warranty on me ywt the phone was 5days new. Very disapointed.never buying anything from Jumia

My experience buying a phone from Jumia was the worst and wouldn't want anyone to repeat same mistake. The phone started started having issues by the second month, Called them and they said they would get back to me but never did. By the fourth month the phone switched off tried to reach them and they said the warranty period is over so I take it to a local technician. Did so but no technician was able to fix the problem. Very disappointed and the customer service by the way always saying they will get back to you but hardly do they or offer any plausible solutions. Four months later I don't have a phone and my money is gone

Ordered a pair of yellow telson step…

Ordered a pair of yellow telson step ladders for ks13,900, and they delivered cheaper red and different manufacturers as shown on line for 7500ks.
Even when complained and sent photos they still insist that we pay more local transport costs to return to their depot.
They will not exchange them for what was ordered and paid for and will not refund until they receive them

No worries if you know what you are doing

Had a great experience today getting an item that I already wrote off because I had to leave before the item arrived (my mistake, ordered too late) last year December (Ukunda pick-up location).
No complaints whith Jumia during my long term stays here in Kenia (from DE).

My wife odered 2 x 100ml of 212 Men…

My wife odered 2 x 100ml of 212 Men fragrance from Jumia on special. Price was more than Ksh 14000 for the two.
When we received the package we found the items to be fake. We returned it to Jumia, one opened and one still sealed. A few days later Jumia informed us that the return was declined without any further explanation. I will not purchase anything from Jumia again. Pathetic service after selling fake items.

I ordered items online

I ordered items online. Got charged for delivery when it said free delivery within Nairobi and then the delivery guy said he cannot deliver to my door and to meet them somewhere. Contacted support and they said my address is outside their delivery zone, yet I have ordered from them numerous times. No way to speak to a manager or complain, just have to put up or shut up. I would not recommend

Very Misleading

I added 4 items to my basket today, and on each individual item in the promotion section, it says: "free delivery for orders above ksh 1999." In my basket, when my order reaches the stated amount, a green logo appears saying "free delivery." As soon as I hit checkout, a delivery fee is added on.

Customer service was incredibly unhelpful, simply saying that its for selected items only - even though the promotion doesn't state that anywhere.

I even showed them the issue, sending them screenshots – as soon as I remove one item from my basket, the message says "missing ksh 200 to reach free delivery". Madness.

Feels like I'm being cheated.

Let’s talk about the headache that is Jumia Kenya. I reside in the United States and recently bought an Amazon fire stick for my wife who’s in Kenya. I’ve owned a couple of Firesticks throughout the years and know exactly how to operate them. Upon the arrival of the firestick the condition was great but we just couldn’t get the remote to connect. Through various attempts from watching YouTube videos the device still wouldn’t connect. We then made the decision to return it and buy a newer television instead. We contacted support and requested a refund because for one the device wasn’t working and we found an alternate solution. They then argued that we didn’t know what we’re doing and that they’d send us another one and guide us through setting it up. We accepted that and allowed them to send us another one. The following day they sent the package and looking inside we found 3 wrapped chapstick's. Talk about fuming!! We contacted them within the hour to ask them what was going on and they asked if we switched the packages out. They later went and did a review and found that they had a power outage and couldn’t determine if the package had been switched out. After a few days of going back and forth on trying to get a refund they still were determined on getting the package to us. It’s been 3 weeks no package and no return. I am beyond upset at their customer service and lack of communication and lastly their ability to care one bit about the customers concerns. If your reading this never purchase from them just go to your local store instead even if it calls for spending a bit more.

Jumia has the worst experience

Jumia are fraudsters and they should be stopped from such appauling business practices, when it comes to refunds. I have never recieved my refund despite the customer care telling me it should reflect in 24 hours then 48 hours then 72 hours then 2 weeks. Buyer should beware when dealing with Jumia Kenya!

I received a fake Mielle rosemary oil…

I received a fake Mielle rosemary oil and returned it.However,they didn’t even check my claims and returned the same product to me after a day.
Their customer service is not good,and they have been making me go in circles about the refund.

Keep off jumia.co.ke - it's usury to fraud!

Be careful with this shop - jumia.co.ke!

While looking for a gift for a friend in Kenya, I came across massive inconsistencies.

Compare ALWAYS the prices with other providers urgently.
Some of the prices here are horrendous. Four times the price and more compared to the same offer in the neighbouring countries.
This is simply usury and fraud!

Neither the purchase price nor different taxes justify such price differences.

By the way, I found exactly the same product, also in Kenya, more than 55% cheaper than in this shop. And I will continue my search.

This makes the unfounded explanations of the online support seem ridiculous.
The support is useless and refers to currency differences. They have no idea what the real issue is and yet refuse to take responsibility and pass on the grievances to the appropriate superiors in marketing and sales.

My advice:
Hands off jumia.co.ke.
You will find the same offers much cheaper with competitors!

We bought a vacuum

We bought a vacuum. It was definitely not a Bosch and it was like a toy. We called to return it. They picked it up as promised. But refused to accept it as the box had been open. Of course it had, to see the product, but it was not damaged. So they would not return it. They lie and their goods are fake. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

I would never advise anyone to buy…

I would never advise anyone to buy anything from Jumia, we purchased a Hisence TV, 43inches and within 3 weeks, it was not functioning, tried following up with Jumia with empty promises, wish we trusted our instincts of wondering why there is a big difference with their prices with the products dealers...
