Never buy anything from jumia.they canceled my order and till now I did not receive my refund.never deal with them.very bad refund experince

Unfortunately JUMIA cancelled three items from two different confirmed orders, the cancellation was targeting competitive prices having a good discount...!
Despite complaining, I didn't receive any response to date...!
Unless receiving a convenient explanation for what happened, I will consider JUMIA is not committed for further orderings

One of the worst customer service and only e-commerce giant in Kenya. It needs a serious competitor like Alibaba or Aliexpress. Better order your goods yourself in the above platforms and use a Posta. l address for delivery. Better late than never.
Changed itinerary
Good afternoon,
I made a booking this morning and paid for it.
I purposely chose Jumia, even though, it was not the cheapest.
I selected to leave nairobi at 11.35am and get to Hawassa, the following morning.
I needed a long layover. I didn't require accomodation and that question was not asked anyway.
Upon completion of payment, my ticket was sent swiftly but had one hour layover.
Besides the fact that i will run across to catch the Hawassa flight, am completely inconvenienced;
1. My hotel booking for 5th in Addis goes to waste.
2. My booking in Hawassa was from 6th and thus not guaranteed for 5th
3. Most important, my appointment in addis has to be cancelled
Your number, goes to machine and disconnects.

things you buy on Jumia are hit and miss. as much as possible don't buy electronic gadgets from them since their warranty effectively lasts for only 7 days. many have complained that refunds take forever.
personally i bought a phone from them for new and its problems started a month after purchase long after my 7 day return policy had expired. The phone was a brand new Moto E4 Plus

Bad Database
Today I searched for a bookshelf online but what displayed was some kind of speaker stand. So what I've noticed is that they're database isn't that well organised.
Run from Jumia or Cry badly
I'm not one to rate people badly but Jumia deserves worse than a 1 star. Sometimes they bring defective items and take forever to return/refund, they sell fake items, I had friends that ordered an elepaq generator and got a sumec firman instead. In their website they flood you with the same 'generic' items over and over, leaving you little variation and room for choice. Maybe you all should learn from your American counterparts Amazon and Walmart. Jumia is overall a SH1TY service!!!
Extremely frustrating and devastatingly poor service
Everything Jumia related is poooooooooooooooooooor! Jumia Food - terrible, Jumia shopping - heart wrenching, Jumia Global - scam! Anything Jumia can frustrate the hell out of you! I dare not explore any other Jumia. Sometimes, I wonder if these guys are learners...it's like they're not sure of what they're doing!!

They cancelled my order and made it very difficult to obtain a refund. It took many calls and emails and several weeks to finally be refunded.

scammer and con online shopping, jumia KENYA is the worst. on the 3rd of December 2018 i made and order and upon paying i was told the payment could not go through only to find out on the next day from my bank that money had been taken from my account. soo i call jumia kenya and give them all my details including my order number and account details, so, they tell me to wait for 5 to 7 working days for the refund to be made, and so i waited and till today 11th January 2019 am still waiting. i have spoken to very many people from agents to supervisors, all with different stories. the systems were down. the refund has been made check your account. we are working on it. some sooo rude some helpful, but none of them has been able to get me my money back. jumia kenya stole from me and am soo ashamed to given be associated with such a company. you should not operate and you should be closed dwon! i want my money back.
Cancellation of my order
I made my order on the 24th December, it was to be delivered between 27th Dec- 1st Jan order number "303763665", I got the message yesterday that my order apparently has been cancelled, why would you take so long to cancel my order if u never had the item, that is completely wrong and I urgently needed it considering I was not even given any call prior on any info concerning my order,I'm totally dissapointed and I thought I would have the best experience with u.
