Kabam The Truth MCOC

Tries to lure you in with small gifts and then let's you grind the game for years to be nowhere at all. Solo modes, events, pvp (LOL), battlegrounds, incursions are a disaster and the constant changes to even the most basic elements in the game make it almost and sometimes totally impossible to progress in any mode, showing offers to spend ridiculous amounts of units (in game currency) or real cash to again lure you in. Also the ratio of almost anything in the game is ridiculously badly created and still optimized in the same manner. In short, the game needs to be managed by other people because the management at this time is just not creative or intelligent enough. In fact, it's a disgrace to the MARVEL LICENSE AND COMMUNITY. I don't spend any money anymore in it and will continue to post this everywhere so people know the truth before they lose themselves in the lies and schemes like many of us did. Thank you.

Kabam-good game poor company

I play mcoc which is a great game when it works but every month there is an update and EVERY month without fail there are problems. Whether it be input issues, lag, visual bugs, altering content….the list honestly goes on and on. Been shadow banned on the forums for asking about the issues. They take your money that you spend on newly released content then change the content at a later date. They don’t seem to care about the player base. Very rarely acknowledge that there is a problem and when they do they can be very argumentative about it.
Great game when it (rarely) works properly. However massively let down by the company and customer service.

Extortionist company

I am a loyal player which spent over $100 in just a week of playing Shop Titans. The most recent in-app purchase I bought did not show up in my account. Thinking it was some payment delay, I waited. After a few days, still no item so I requested for a refund from iTunes.

Later, my account was banned from important features and my gems (premium currency) was at a negative amount.

I reached out to player support and they told me I need to pay 2x the amount to have my account unbanned & gems restored to the original amount.

On top of that, they blame the player for fraud when we didn’t receive our product.

I don’t mind spending money but I will not support a company with such atrocious player support & practices.

This is a horrendous company (parent company is Netmarble). Their game is full of bugs and glitches with no fix in sight, designed purely to encourage gambling and additive behaviour.

With the new CEO (from 2022) thing only got worst, cost for ingame items increased, control stop working and every update fill with more bug.

There are no way to directly make formal complaint, and any constructive feedback gives on their official forum get delete by dictatorial forum admins (official Kabam staffs, Kabam Miike, Kabam Python).

They treated their customer as nothing more than cow to be milk and discard.

The best way to give them feedback is not to spend in the game, it only fed their bottomless greedy pit.

This company bring a bad name to the Marvel IP and it fan, Disney would be better take back their IP from Netmarble, and letting other game companies design game instead.

Corporate greed to extreme - inexistent customer service

I played Marvel Contest of Champions for 7 years. Recently I accidentally purchased a bundle for 3000 units. Immediately after I submitted a support ticket to have the transaction cancelled and my units refunded. the security checks included 5 questions to provide information from 7 years ago. I did my best to answer them, provided screenshots from my google play account, forwarded whatever emails I still had. after all that, they went completely silent. It is utterly disappointing and will stop any in-app purchases and seriously considering uninstalling the game.

Kabam has denied a refund for $4000.00…

Kabam has denied a refund for $4000.00 worth of charges my Special Needs Autistic grandson made. He didn't know what he was doing. They said it's not in their refund policy. This is an unusual circumstance and s/b dealt with differently. How can they not refund this money? They are taking advantage of a young special needs child!

They are rogues, now double billing players who buy stuff in game … my advice that’s You all don’t buy anything at all … and when asked for a refund they are banning players … so low in dealings …they don’t bother about evidence given …. DONT GIVE ANY CREDIT CARD DETAILS TO THEM AT ALL IN THE GAME …. ITUNES AUSTRALIA SHOULD BAN KABAM GAMES ON THEIR PLATFORM … kabam is robbing players monies now …

Disgraceful company. Poor support.

Kabam first came to my attention because of Marvel Contest of Champions.

The game premise was good and it started out fun until the difficulty was ratcheted up to the point where the game ceased to be fun and to progress, you're essentially forced to spend real money on potions and revives.

Potions do very little to fill your health bar. You can literally empty your entire stash from full and barely heal half your bar and these are scarcely handed out in the game.

When you reach the approach to endgame, the AI behaviour starts to become over the top defensive, blocking all of the time.

This mixed with nodes that mean your health bleeds out over time if you don't land a successful hit on a constantly blocking AI and if you attempt a block break, the AI attacks and wastes most of your health bar with one combo. 10 of your combos have chipped away 1 percent of the AI health bar.

Some of the nodes even do damage over time no matter what you do so you have to finish the fight quick. . . But the enemies health bar chips away so slowly, you have to use several revives.

The alliances for the most part demand the use of third party apps to communicate because the in game chat is so poor.

Many alliances are run by players who expect alliance members to drop everything in real life (including work) to participate in alliance quests and wars. Weekly multi player events that do very little to reward players compared to the amount of effort.

Many players are even bullied by high ranking alliance members and are kicked. Some players such as myself, have been racially abused in game by abusive alliance leaders and "officers".

Some of them even take the abuse one step further by stalking kicked members and contacting their next alliance leaders to get them kicked.

In such instances, reports are sent to the owners of the game Kabam, who do absolutely nothing about it.

If a victim requests an in-game name change, the aggressive and extraordinarily unhelpful Kabam customer service do nothing to help.

Instead, they explain that you have to pay to change your ingame name. Even if you're being bullied. But if you pick an intentionally rude ingame name, a free name change is forced.

Everything is Kabams way or no way. Their customer service is the most appalling I've ever experienced.

The game is designed to require money to be spent on it and the customer service isn't even worth the investment.

Kabam deserves shutting down.

Kabam doesn't care about their customers

Their customer service team doesn't care about their customers. They just say "sorry" and won't do anything to support you with bugs, errors or anything. If you buy something and a bug happens due to that, they will just take your money and run with it.

I played their game for 15+ months and their customer service is in a steady decline. They are cash greedy and do not find any way to compensate their loyal members.

Why not say sorry with a few gems or gold?

Even when you cancel your paid subscription after having a bad customer service experience they will not try to buy you back. They just care about their future paying customers and not their current ones.

Did you know it's more expensive to go find new customers than retaining them? Kabam clearly doesn't

RNG BASED GAMES THAT ARENT RNG BASED 😡😡😡

I’ll start of with a abstract from kabams patent 🤔

US9138639B1 Kabam System and method for providing in-game pricing relative to player statistics The system involves manipulating the availability and prices of in-game virtual items for different players depending on their experience and their progress in the game, including past spending activity. A player may have to pay more/less for items based on their behavioral data, irrespective of the contextual value of the item Exploitation of player data;
Price manipulation .......

I’ve been playing this game for a long time, and it’s now at a point where I can only describe it as a bottomless money grab !

You work your way though a story mode that ends up being so difficult that you have only 1 option and that is spend money, nodes are designed where you need a handful of champs or it will cost you hundreds of pounds, act 6.3 for example “acid wash mysterio, only 2 champions out of 170+ that are able to clear that fight fairly. On top of this you are asked to pay £50 for 5 “ RNG” based crystals that will only pay out based on your past spending habits .....

I honestly don’t know how this game is even LEGAL .... for years I’ve been playing under the impression that RNG means RNG.... there is nothing RNG based about this game, the more you spend the better your “luck” 😡

Nothing but crooks that market this game as random.

Moving on to other areas and in game rewards. It’s a lot of effort logging in 24/7 for alliance based that do not scale with the effort that you put in .....

Alliance war now has tactics that makes most of your champions unusable/irrelevant (flow for those who know) those same champions that cost you hundreds of pounds to acquire.

Arena .... spend 3 days solid ( sometimes Playing up to 20hours a day) to acquire new champions, not to qualify because arena bots are rife and you didn’t score high enough.

Kabam hot fixes for anything that benefits the player and makes you spend more money.
6.2 champion / Morningstar, map7 Corvus glaive time out tactics etc

Log in rewards ..... so minuscule that they are irrelevant and outdated.

Customer support is terrible you raise these concerns and then receive a copy and paste replay redirecting you to the forums, once posted your post will either be derailed by kabam shills, ghosted or straight deleted by snotty mods.

This is a honest review from someone that’s gone straight through to the end of this game 100% I’ve invested a lot of time money and effort on this game. ( wouldn’t call the money I’ve spent invested since the patent has been made common knowledge 😒)

Please do NOT be fooled by the new 5*, four word reviews (bots and kabam employees) that have recently been left. They are there to balance out from the negative to keep the rating high and to keep this game at the top of the App Store.

Love Marvel, once loved this game ....

Kabam crooks not so much 👮🏽‍♀️

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. I accidentally made a mistake by trading some t4 catalyst that take months to accrue. I contacted customer support and they basically told me tough luck and they couldn’t help. They treat something digital that could be fixed like its half eaten food at a restaurant. No check that. At least a restaurant would try to fix it.
