I always go to the Queensdale location in Ottawa. I think this is their “truck” location, but they do cars as well. I’ve never had an issue getting an appointment, I am always greeted by name and oftentimes, the service I am requesting is covered for the life of the tires (balancing, flat repair, TPMS reset). Try that at your local dealership! Richard and his team have been there for years (since the days of Frisby Tire). Thanks!!!

Kal tire doesn't respect the warranty.

Got a call from Kal tire today and the company is taking responsibility.

So much confusion in a relativley new location--12 Carlaw. First suggestion was the pressure sensor was defective. When I had reported a slow leak. Then was told the 5 year old Pireli were no longer covered under any Kal or manufacturer warranty, and that the tire needed to be replaced. Not a pleasant experience.

Bought a new set of Nokian LT3 studded 275/65/18 tires, I picked them up a couple of weeks later to have the mobile tire guy do the change over. Got 3 tires done and when he went to put the last tire on the rim it wouldn’t fit. It’s a 17” tire not an 18”! I phone Kal Tire Boundry road Prince George and they will exchange the tire for the right one, I take my pickup down and ask if they could install the new tire. They will try to get to it if I leave the truck there, cost of these tires is a little over 2 grand and because of their mistake I couldn’t get the last tire installed, kind of reminds me of McLean and McLean skit on the nightclub closing at 2:00am (WE GOT YOUR MONEY NOW GET THE F@#K OUT)

I have a 2017 Jeep with the factory wheel and rims, I went to get studded snow tires installed. I went in with all 4 tire pressure sensors working, and come out of Clareview Kal Tire with only 3 pressure sensors working, and was told the battery must be dead and I would have to buy one and get it installed at my cost. I think this sensor was damaged on tire installation, it's sort of odd that only one battery dies out of 4 that were all installed at the same time in the factory. Convenient for Kal Tire!

I had 4 new tires that I purchased at Kal Tire in Edmonton. I received a call from them stating that all 4 of my rotors ( yes all 4) were cracked and required replacement along with brake pads all around. I just had my back brakes done last year? To top if off they stated my front tie rods needed replacing and if I didn't get it done that morning then they would not be able to perform the wheel alignment for my new tires. I told them not to do it. I picked up my SUV and immediately went to my mechanic that has been servicing my SUV for many years. He laughed when he did an inspection and showed my how the tie rods had literally no play whatsoever and how my back brake pads were at 9 mm and the front at 5 mm with no cracks in the rotors. WOW talk about trying to scare a senior lady into getting work done that wasn't necessary at all and to the tune of almost $1800 from the quotes they provided me that morning via email. I had no issue with Kal Tire until now so I'm very disappointed in this experience and would not recommend them. Tires are great though !

The parts Kal Tire installs on your car are very low quality. Expect one half to one third of the life expectancy you got from your previous original OEM parts. The tires are an exception, because tires can't be manufactured in a backyard somewhere in China. But brakes, radiators, shocks ... can.

I purchased my tires from Kal Tire two years ago . I have had great service from them on two separate occasions! My car was vibrating from dirt in the wheel wells and they said Bring it in that day ! Within 40 minutes they had it all cleaned out and it was no charge !
Last week , I had a low tire , I drove directly there and they were so kind and took my car in within an hour and found a nail , repaired my tire and was on my way , with out any charges !
They were so friendly and kind !
Really appreciate the great service!
Planning to go their for all my oil changes from now on !
And will always purchase my tires from Kal tire !

This was the Drayton Valley location and the review is an excerpt from an email sent to all my employees:
I asked my wife to take my Chevrolet traverse to Kal tire in Drayton valley to get a wheel alignment. She made the appointment and took it over when it was time. They quickly informed her that it needed $2700 worth of parts and labor before the wheel alignment could be done. Being a bit of a do it yourselfer I looked at the list of parts, was a little surprised because I drive my vehicles quite nicely and our salesman that drove it before me also drives like a little old man (I guess because that's what we are) but I ordered the parts off of rock auto as per the list. The Saturday after the parts arrived I pulled my car into the shop and started taking off the first part on the list. There didn't seem to be anything wrong with it?? I took off the next part and there didn't seem to be anything wrong with it either?? I made an appointment for a wheel alignment at another shop in Drayton valley that my son recommended because he had worked with one of the mechanics that was there. I took it in and explained the situation to them and left the car with them. The next afternoon I picked it up. The wheel alignment was done and they had to replace one part out of the over dozen parts that I had ordered that Kal tire said needed replacing. I then drove over to Kal tire and asked to speak to the manager. I started out the conversation (and I spoke nicely and calmly the whole time) with “either you are part of the problem or you need to be made aware of the problem”. I told him what had happened and he didn't appear to be too concerned. He never apologized. He didn't seem to be surprised. He said he would look into it and get back to me. That was over a week ago and I have heard nothing from him. I have instructed my one manager not to use Kal tire any more. And for the rest of you that are driving company vehicles - do not use Kal tire. Personally you can do whatever you want but you've heard my story.

Went to the North Red deer, Kal tire for a brake inspection. They charged me full price and claimed 'they were just fine'. I kept hearing noises in back brakes so went to another shop and they required work - replacement pads were needed as one had cracking. The car sounds and runs great now!! Would not recommend Kal tire North Red deer!

I have been at Nepean store cross the street from Mister Lub ( Baseline). I liked their customer service, professionally and that there is a waiting room for customers.

Service is unbelievably good. Dwayne from north bay is incredibly helpful and friendly. Very skilled mechanics and helpful people. Also well decorated waiting room.✅✅✅✅👍👍👍👍🇨🇦

Further to the following concern, I since e-mailed the KAL HO and received a response appreciating my concern and advised I would soon be contacted by the dealership. Soon after, I did receive a call from the dealership who advised the KAL team could have better addressed the matter and offered to refund the amount at question. Refund received. KAL dealt with the matter with in tegrity.

Got a quote for 4 tires to purchase and install with no discounts or sale price, at the Calgary Shawnessy location. Presented a coupon where a competitor offered free alignment with purchase of 4 tires. Two service people said they did not see why they would not match that offer, as they advertise a price match guarantee. After the tires were installed they advised they would not honour the match and offered a modest discount. Even at the discounted price, they still charged more than the competitor did normally without the coupon. Called their head office in Vernon. Their representative said they would immediately contact the dealership and someone would get back to me. I have not received any contact. I feel victimized in a bait and switch scheme. They should have been upfront and say they would not match the competitor before they started any work. I had purchased tires at KAL previously, but I doubt I will in the future.

Kal tire Ontario st in Vancouver the best customer service. I am never disappointed. Every staff member helpful and patient.

Faulty TPMS installed by Kal Tire. They refused to replace with a proper sensor compatible with Mercedes nor will they refund my money for faulty parts.

A few days ago, I sent my car to KalTire at Surrey BC have the tires balanced and rotated. My experience there was much less than satisfactory. Here's a summary:

1. I told the guy, Manpreet(?), I also needed the spare tire inflated. I had mentioned that earlier when I called but I requested that again just to be sure. I told them I have emptied the trunk and the spare tire is readily accessible.

2. They took my car and FOB but didn't offer any kind of written job order, which is strange and risky for me.

3. After they finished the job, the priority for the guy at the counter (a chinese guy) seemed to be simply collecting payment and little else. I had to ask to see the service report, which he had to retrieve from a garbage bin!

4. When I asked, the guy had no clue as to which way the tires were rotated. He made a guess and said it was cross rotated because my car was a 4-wheel drive, which my car wasn't! He then corrected himself and said the tires were rotated directionally (same side front to back). I dodn't think he knew what he was saying.

5. The notes on the service report said there was "rear edge wear on both fronts down to cords". I checked the tires after I brought the car home and found no such wear.

6. The report stated the tires had between 3/32 and 5/32 threads. I checked. My Michellin tires has around 32,000 km and still has more thread depth than that!

7. Report said the brakes were dry. The report recommended service. At 32K odometer, my 2018 Lexus brakes are still good!

8. Finally, I asked the guy whether the spare tire has been inflated as requested. He assured me it was. Not convinced, I demanded he ask the mechanic who worked on my car (JAXU?). The guy went and came back with the assurance that the tire was in fact inflated. Well, I was still not persuaded so we both went to car to have that verified.

Lo and behold, the tire was NOT inflated.

Suffice it to say, I'm never going to KalTire again. Sloppy service! I should have known better than entrust my Lexus to these fools!

What made my experience great was Jaydip Parekh, he was the very best customer representative, he was friendly, knowledgeable and engaging. I had his complete attention. When my car was finished, he explained the service in detail. I also observed the other customer representative dealing with a female who was sitting, he knelt down to talk to her instead of towering over her.

These are franchise locations as I understand it, so this is in reference to a specific Kal Tire: Vancouver's Ontario Street (and SE Marine Drive). They addressed my emergency tire repair situation immediately. Although No appointment, they had the issue resolved quickly and affordably while I waited in their very nice showroom area.

We have been servicing our cars at the Dundas and Bloor location for 12 years ...We have recently been experiencing situations where the staff has been dishonest and aggressively up selling for car repairs that were not required which cost substantially more. In short, We took the car for an assessment at a different mechanic and paid $400 for the repairs which Kal Tire had estimated at over $1500.

Also the Kal Tire diagnostic showed that the battery we had purchased at Kal just over 2 years ago needed replacing and there was no warranty. The staff was attempting to upsell for a battery at a cost of approximately $250. The battery actually does not need to be replaced according to the other mechanic.

We also have friends in the community who seem to be having the same issues at this location and thought we should warn others to avoid unnecessary and costly repairs.

Christian in the Wharncliffe Road/London location was very helpful. Needed a quick fix on my car, and he was able to fit me in. Appreciate that, very good quick service. Thanks!
