Kezie Foods - Fantastic!

After having an issue with a delivery from a different company, I was on the lookout for someone else who supplied exotic meats. I discovered Kezie Foods and I cannot fault them one single bit. They provided fantastic customer service and guided me through the entire process of their orders and deliveries making it very easy for me to place an order. The food has arrived within 24 hours as I was advised and with everything in perfect condition. I will be using Kezie Foods going forward for any time I am wanting to order exotic and game meats. I highly recommend Kezie Foods.

Thieves

I placed an order for meat on 1st November. First of all, for some unknown reason, the courier failed to deliver on time. However I did get my order next day. problem was that one item was missing. I had received no notification about this, not even an offer of a substitute. It was only when I telephoned them that I was informed that the product was out of stock. We agreed on a refund, to be paid within five days (why it takes ONE day to charge for an item and FIVE to refund a charge I will never know). That refund is almost NINE days late. I have made a complaint to Paypal (whom I used to pay them) but they have until 31st December to respond. A ridiculour length of time. And this is not the first time I've had problems with Kezie. A few years ago they were found to be selling underweight goods.

Apologies for our delayed response and thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry for the inconvenience caused by the missing item and delivery delay. As soon as you contacted us, we processed the refund immediately, it then takes 5-10 working days for PayPal to process it on their end. The extended delay in receiving the funds occurred because a complaint was raised with PayPal, who then opened an investigation and held the funds until it was resolved, which unfortunately is outside of our control.

Better quality non exotic cuts elsewhere

I was really excited to try everything I ordered from here, was looking forward to trying new meats such as the elk and the kangaroo. Now that was not to my taste, however, that is not the reason for my bad review as I understand that in regards to these products, they are just not for me personally.

The reason for my bad review is that the products I do usually eat such as the ribeye steak and the spicy wagyu beef sausages, Just simply, we're not up to par. The sausages did not taste Very nice at all as they were bland. As for the ribeye, The quality was just not there and despite this one being significantly more expensive; the ribeye steaks were better in Aldi.

I waited until I tried everything in the box in order to give a fair opinion .I'm a firm believer and you get what you pay for. Unfortunately it was not the case with my purchase here. Very disappointing.

Absolute Joke of a company, DO NOT USE, GO ELSEWHERE!!!

I WAS NOT ABUSIVE, THIS COMPANY IS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE, I WAS POLITE AND GENUINE, WILL MAKE A YOUTUBE VIDEO AND UPLOAD THE RECORDED CALLS. IM NOT HAVING THIS COMPANY LIE ABOUT THEIR ACCTUAL OPERATIONS. AND MAKE CUSTOMERS OUT TO BE HORRIBLE, ANGRY AND AGGRESSIVE PEOPLE.

WILL ALSO POST ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE ON MY SOCIALS, AS I SAID KEZIE HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO FIX THE ISSUE AND INSTEAD WHERE RUDE HUNG UP THE PHONE AND REFUSED TO LISTEN. CANT COMMIT TO DELIVERY DATES, WHY NOT POST IT MONDAY FOR A A 21ST DELIVERY OF ITS 2 DAYS AS THEY CLAIM? THE ISSUE IS IT WAS NEVER GOING TO ARRIVE. SAYS ALOT WHEN THEY ALSO STOCK ICELAND READY MEALS AND FROZEN FOOD. GLAD I HAD AN ISSUE, AS THE MEAT IS APPARENTLY HORRIBLE ANYWAYS ACCORING TO ALOT OF ONLINE REVIEWS. IM NOT NASTY, EVERY COMPANY HAS A SECOND CHANCE. AND THEY DECIDED TO BLOCK ME. WHAT A JOKE. DOESNT BOTHER ME

I WOULD BE ASHAMED TO WORK HERE, AND CLARE NEEDS TO LEARN TO BE MORE RECEPTIVE TO CRITICISM, SHES A VERY SHORT TEMPERED AND ANGRY LADY. I GUESS I WOULD BE ASWELL HAVING TO DEAL WITH SPOILED MEAT,INCOMPETENT ORDERS AND BEING THE PERSON TO DEAL WITH ISSUES.

Ordered burgers and a couple of other things, got the parcel force text saying we will deliver your parcel tomorrow, sat in all day and it never appeared, I will be refusing delivery if it arrives, as 2 days sitting in the sun in some warehouse is unacceptable. Item wasn't sent until the evening, for next day delivery it needs to be before 1pm, so the item was never going to be delivered on time. After reading all the reviews, I see this is very common. And the courier always gets the blame. Best bit is I recieved an ebay parcel today that was sent yesterday, it's not the couriers, ITS KEZIE sending orders out at 5pm. Will be requesting a full refund, Including postage. I live in Northern Ireland, about 3 miles form the Parcelforce depot, better still I have worked for them before, this is 100% a kezie issue despite them saying its always a couriers fault etc. Historically you have the same issues for 10 years, same excuses. Will not be back, and have informed other friends and family which I recommended this company to avoid before they make the same mistake. What could of been a good regular supplier of exotic meats, is sadly and quite frankly a complete joke. Get your meats from your local butcher instead. Surprised this company is able to trade still given the Health and Safety around food etc. Interesting all the same, clearly don't take pride in their product, or care about customer satisfaction.

Order #29752 placed 15/5/25 for delivery on 21/5/25.
As of 8pm on 21st, the parcel is still located in Edinburgh, yet to even arrive at the delivery HUB and has been out of the freezer for around 30hours.

** Clare on the phone this morning at 9am, answered it and addressed me by name, this is a GDPR compliance issue, told me i was rude and hung up the phone. Absolutely disgusting way to speak to people. She will say I was rude, I was not in eveb recorded the call. Awaitibg my promised refund, told me it was a 2dsy delivery despite being guaranteed delivery on the 21st**

They had a chance to redeem, instead they tell you to ring back when your not angry, persistent calls gets through, and they get very upset and angry on the phone. Lovely customer service!

Another amazing order

We had another amazing order from Kezie. We ordered a Christmas Hamper which was AMAZING. The smoked duck was absolutely delicious! Well packed and fast delivery.

40% shrinkage after cooking

We purchased 1 kilogram of horse meat from Keziefoods. After cooking, the meat looked rather small, so I weighed the meat, and it had shrunk to just 595 grams. This represents a significant loss in weight. Horse meat is quite lean, so typical shrinkage should be around 10-15%, which makes this reduction of 40% very unusual. I can only speculate that the meat may have been infused with water, which could explain the excessive shrinkage. Or perhaps it didn't actually weigh 1 kilo to begin with although that is what I ordered and paid for.

A very nice change

We thought we would try some different meats. I found Kezie foods on the internet. Looking at the menu, we decided to buy some horse steaks, only small ones just in case we did not like the taste.It arrived quickly and on the date stated, it came in a large box and when opened there was a polystyrene box, inside that was packaging and freezer blocks and the meat was in a sealed bag. I would off paid the full amount without the meat just for packaging, We cut up the horse meat which was very tender and cooked it in a stir fry. We really enjoyed it, we have just ordered a larger zebra joint cannot wait

Delivered underweight items

Ordered a few items including two kangaroo fillets, which are advertised as 195-210g per pack. Both packs arrived as 185g, underweight from what they advertised and are sold as. Not happy with being miss-sold underweight items. Will be avoiding Kezie in future based on this experience.

Magnifying glass needed for instructions.

Love your burgers - Ostrich, Wild Boar, Venison etc - which I get from my favourite fishmongers in Glasgow...the Fish Plaice on the Saltmarket... but I do have a question. Why are the cooking instructions on the wrapping so small. I can't read them without a magnifying glass!

Was kept informed of package, arrived at specified time, extremely well packaged and everything still frozen solid. Haven't eaten the zebra yet, but on the way everything has been done so far, I'm sure it will be groovy. Would I use Kezie again? Yes!

Nice, different, unusual

I have been buying from Kezie for years now and I've never been dissapointed.
They've got things that you just can't find anywhere else, and things you wouldn't have thought of trying.
You should definately give them a go if your looking for something different.

A great site for exotic meats

I wanted some exotic meats and found this firm online. I was pleased to get some advice about what to buy for my specific needs from a real person when I asked a question.
I ordered the food and it was delivered very swiftly, frozen and nicely packed.
The meat itself looked and tasted good and I found the staff very responsive and helpful.

I have used kezie foods on several occasions and I have never been dissapointed, ever!
Their service is absolutely perfect!!!!
The produce is of first class.
Always top class and delivered perfectly chilled and as fresh as could be!
I would recommend ordering from this company all day every day! 10 out of 10!!!!

Excellent quality and variety of meats

Very impressed with the quality and choice of meats, especially the exotic meats that I cannot buy elsewhere. The steak meat box has 18 steaks that allows you to try meats from around the world and my favourites are the Ostrich fillet and Venison steaks.
