Great servers but HELLISH support.

Great servers, OVH quality as expected but support is the worse I've ever seen. These clowns will actually tell you to cancel your server if you are not happy with the smallest things. They are cocky due to their value. Great servers. It's insane.
I am now with another provider with lesser quality server and speeds but man the support is GOLD. I think OVH, KimSufi and SoYouStart are all for PROFESSIONALS who can do all the tricks and trades to make the server work. Everyone else has Windows templates now except Ovh, Kimsufi and SoYoustart. It's just bad all around.

Awful company been using for over 4…

Awful company been using for over 4 years, paid for my server and it was activated then the next day restricted asking for payment, payment was made and cleared. I emailed them daily which they ignored and then deleted the server, I had no chance to get anything from it and was not going to pay twice. Useless and incompetent, use at your own risk

Service client absent, laisse disparaitre mon serveur. Perte totale d'investissement.

Suite à l'expiration de ma CB, je vais dans l'interface et je renseigne mon IBAN pour prélèvement. (Je suis gros client d'OVH chez qui ce moyen de paiement fonctionne).
Il m'est demandé de renvoyer le mandat SEPA, mais le formulaire de contact ne permet pas de joindre une pièce PDF. Je colle donc une URL Wetransfert dans un message au support.
Une semaine plus tard, toujours aucun retour d'un quelconque service client, toujours aucune machine joignable, la machine a disparue de mon interface, et le comble : je reçois un email « suite à votre demande, la machine a été supprimée. Cette opération est irréversible ».
Bref, à éviter à 100%. Perte de temps de configuration, de données, service client absent, robots destructeurs. Peut-être utile comme sandbox pour jouer, et encore.

[EDIT : trois mois plus tard ils ont transmis une facture de 15€ pour un service non fourni à leur agence de recouvrement qui s'adresse à moi de manière juridique musclée et rajoute ses propres 50€. Encore une fois aucun service client chez Kimsufi (mon login est désormais inconnu), tout est automatique, décapitage inclus. Si on pouvait mettre -1 étoiles, je le ferais.]

nul à faire caca

nul, incompétent et je déconseille vivement, un service client invisible qui répond quand il veut et des serveurs de mauvaise qualité, vous avez juste a comparer les temps de latence .
certes pas cher mais perso je préfère mettre le prix quand je vois leur service....inexistant en fait et vous pouvez leur écrire quand ils vous répondent 15 jours après, ils sont assez drole

For who has a bit experince I can say that this is one of the best and cheapest hosting providers.
One Ip is enough for me, virtualmin as a webpanel, inetbase with apf makes it stronger even if they offer a ddos protection once I test my server with botnets I get immediately a mail, so their support is also fine their response is fast once you open a ticket you will get a quick reply. I just renewed my server for 6 months.

À éviter appart le prix pour attirer réellement des voleurs service acheté aucun accès reçu par e-mail malgré les nombreux échanges avec le support qui semble vraiment ne rien comprendre au problème des clients

Attivazione mai avvenuta! Altro che 120 secondi!

Sul sito indicano un'attivazione in 120 secondi. Non c'è cosa più invera. A distanza di 4 ore il server non è stato attivato. Ho aperto un ticket di supporto e mi è stato risposto che i 120 secondi si riferiscono dal momento che il pagamento viene processato. Ho fatto presente che nelle FAQ sul sito non è indicato ciò e che ho pagato con paypal, ma non ho ricevuto alcuna risposta. Ora chiedo la cancellazione dell'ordine. Pensavo ci fosse più professionalità da un leader mondiale come OVH

Great if you manage to get stock

I've had a server with Kimsufi for about a year and they are great for having a cheap dedicated server without high computing power all while avoiding the problems with noisy VPS users. After cancelling to upgrade though, I've been finding it hard to get the server with the power and space that I need as most of their lineup is always out of stock. Due to being affiliated with OVH and being a budget dedicated server company, support would be lackluster.

they don't have any support team, my server is broken for three days and no one answers me

I didn't have any issues with this company until recently when
I received an email from Kimsufi indicating that my server's motherboard has been replaced and the server goes into the rescue mode.
Fair enough, maybe the motherboard was broken and an instant replacement was needed.
But, the big problem arises when I contacted the support team, I sent two emails saying that my server is completely down and all my websites became unreachable, unfortunately, I didn't get any response from the support team.
I tried to reboot the server, but it always goes into the rescue mode, anyway, I logged in into my server and spend about 2 hours to back up my existing data by mounting the hard drive and copying the data through scp.
Since I didn't get a response, I moved my business to another service provider.
I don't know why do they treat their customers like that? why did they ignore my emails?
Yes, their server prices are great, but there's no support! if your server goes down then you have to move your data to another service provider or just get another server from them since no one is going to provide you any help.

Atom dedicated servers excellent value

I have used their Atom range dedicated server with 4GB RAM and 2TB harddisk. When the server was provisioned, I did a check on the hardware and was pleasantly surprised to find an almost brand new harddisk with just over a month's worth of running hours.

The server has been rock stable and the advertised connection speed of 100mbps (both upstream and downstream) true to advertisement. Some other servers I have used promised higher speeds but seldom have I gotten that kinds of speeds.

They have a setup fee but if you are looking for bare metal servers for a year or two, the setup fee isn't a big deal. Their Atom range servers in my view are better than ARM-based bare metal servers, and is certainly worth checking out if you don't require hefty processing power and don't want to deal with the luck of the draw of noisy neighbors sucking up bandwidth and CPU power hat you get with a VPS.

Kimsufi is tops for me (excluding setup fees)

I've been using Kimsufi for projects off and on for probably 6-10 or more years now. I always have a good experience. They've improved their automation and hardware over the years. I had a server in Canada for a time, and it was still fast for me when I moved to Asia. Their French servers are also top of the line, and connection is very reliable. Their support staff has also improved (mostly the same crew they've always had, but they're learning to communicate more politely).

The only con I have against them is the setup fee. For short term projects (2-3 months), I'd love to use them more frequently than a VPS, but because of the setup fee, I have to go and use some LEB servers. I hope they'll change this sometime.

Overall, great - cheap servers and not bad hardware. (Make sure to install smartmontools to see how old the drives are - on any server you ever rent)

Ok so far.....

Despite some negative reviews I decided to set up a Kimsufi server, largely I have to admit, the choice was made on price.

I went for the Atom N2800 with a single 2TB disk, planned use is mostly off-site backup, RAID might be useful but as this will be a 3rd physical location for backup copies of stuff I wasn't too bothered.

The process basically ran as advertised, the server might not have been ready in 120s but it was within 5 or 10 minutes and installation of a Centos 7 image went smoothly.

That is not to say there aren't things to be aware of:

- there was some weirdness with my password not being recognised for the control panel log in and the "reset password" link not sending an email; seems to be sorted now.

- not all server configurations are in stock, it might be difficult to buy the cheapest offering but a model up is not too expensive

- the image it totally bare bones, no firewall and ssh configured to accept passwords, there is an drop down to add a key in the install but it didn't seem to work, only offering "no key" as an option. Although it took me less than half an hour to get logged in and configure sshd and a basic firewall there were over 600 login attempts!

- some OVH monitoring stuff is installed by default.

- the HDD is "well bedded in" - the one on my server is a Hitachi Ultrastar 7K4000 with just over 38,000 hours on the clock (about 4 years and 4 months) - we'll see how that goes but I see hard drive failures are something that seems common with Kimsufi servers.

All in all positive so far with minor caveats, will see how things go from here on in.

A good few years ago now...

A good few years ago now I had a machine with them which was running great through their Kimsufi range. I was running a few VMs on it and I kept up with all my bills necessary, until one day my machine was completely turned off, regardless to whether they were properly supporting me, due to incoming attacks. I mistakenly renewed 3 months and only got 2 weeks out of these 3 months, and was not refunded. I spoke about this on their community forums and even other people were arguing with their staff team saying how unfair it was - wish I took the situation to small claims court when I had the chance.

I have however been using OVH's SoYouStart range (not Kimsufi) a lot more lately and they now have DDoS protection and a good selection of servers with so little issues. I rarely need to contact their support, but when I do it is usually a 12-24 hour response per ticket. Seeing as Kimsufi's and SoYouStart's support are both managed by OVH I will assume that this is the same for all ranges. If they were to compensate me for the issue in the paragraph above I can easily make this a 5 star, especially as it was over 5 years ago now, but until then I really am dissatisfied with how money appeared more important to them back then rather than assisting to resolve my issue.
